This home has a vintage appeal. It is minutes from the Gaffney outlet mall, half mile from the Wagon Wheel Fish Camp , 20 miles from the famous Kelly’s steakhouse in Blacksburg, and 8 miles from Downtown Spartanburg. Spartanburg has The Marriott hotel which hosts a lot of conventions and events. It has the Spartanburg Auditorium which hosts a lot of events, and the Chapman Cultural Center. It is very convenient to interstate 85 which will take you to Charlotte NC 78 miles away, and Greenville 48 miles away. It is 11 miles from Lake Blalock and 20 miles from Lake Bowen. There are several colleges within a 15 mile or less radius: Limestone college in Gaffney, Converse College, Wofford College(9 miles) Spartanburg Methodist, and USC Upstate all in Spartanburg. It is 72 miles from Clemson University, the 2019 Football National Champions. This would be a great option for out of town guests who are in town for nearby weddings. If you want a taste of mountains, it is only one hour and 15 min from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville. It is 56 miles from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure NC (site of Dirty Dancing Movie). Cowpens is a small town but convenient to so much. It has the Cowpens National Battlefield Park which preserves a major battleground of the American Revolutionary War. It is 30 miles from GSP airport

Stay at Cowpens

Very nice house, clean and charming. It's an ode to the 70s and many 'antique' pieces of furniture. Lots of space and fenced in yard for our pup. Beautiful patio!

Like staying at your Grandmothers

Let me start by saying I didn’t reach out to the owner for any issues. We were in and out a lot and I didn’t want to try and coordinate a time to meet. 1. Coffee maker had not pot 2. AC did not provide heat. There were plug in heaters 3. House is VERY dated 4. Dishes in cabinet were dirty 5. There were not enough dishes 6. There were cots in every bedroom. They should have been put away since we did not need them 7. Closet doors were off the track 8. Neighborhood dogs barking all night 9. Train running through the night 10. Beds and couches were old and uncomfortable

Great location for graduations in nearby area.

House was very spacious and compartmentalized to allow groups to mingle in different areas of the home. Walking distance to a few stores. Only issue we had was a leaky pipe under kitchen sink and a few bugs, but other than that it is a beautiful home with lots of amenities and pluses. David was responsive and accommodating.
