Lovely Private Renovated Sunny Cabin Home With Woods, Meadow and Wildlife

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,252 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

2 Bedroom , 2 Bathroom With A View Of Bell Hill And Happy Valley, Close To Town

This lovely home on nearly 4 acres in the country, yet close to town, provides the perfect place to relax from all your daily duties in the real world. It was built in 1998 and was recently remodeled with an updated cabin vibe. The downstairs includes the master and guest bedrooms and one bathroom that is accessible outside the master bedroom. The master bath features a shower, sink and toilet in a separate space from an additional sink in its own space, so two can get ready at one time. There is a mudroom with a stacked washer/dryer unit on this level. The upstairs open floor plan with wall-to-wall windows offers a great perch from which to view the visiting Elk and Bald Eagles that frequent the area, while you dine, read, or enjoy wine on the deck. The great room has a wood stove for cool nights. The kitchen is well appointed with appliances for preparing food for dining in. This level offers a second bath with a jetted tub, and a view of the forest while you relax and soak. Additionally there is a small sitting room with views of the walking paths through the woods, which can double as an extra bedroom for two people. Walk the woods, stroll the garden or entertain on the upper deck or lower patio in this peaceful quiet place you will not want to leave.

When you do leave for food or entertaining activities, you are only a short mile and a half drive or bicycle ride from many restaurants, shops, the art gallery and farmer's market just to name a few. Additionally the area has wonderful bike paths, community theater, The Voice of America Dungeness Recreation Area and The Spit, Railroad Bridge Park, John Wayne Marina, The Olympic Game Farm, and the Seven Cedars Casino.

Relaxing and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary and we enjoyed it so much. The bed was very comfortable and it was lovely to wake up to the sun coming in the windows each morning. The sound of the crickets at night was a welcome change from the noise of city life. The kitchen and pantry had everything we needed. The jetted tub was heavenly, especially with the views of trees outside. I loved reading in the cozy nook upstairs, looking out the big windows. The chair with the ottoman was so comfy I even took an afternoon nap there one of the days. We loved this place and will definitely be back the next time we visit the area. Thank you!

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect! Well equipped kitchen, comfortable seating and sleeping accommodations for our party of 6. We really enjoyed the view from the main room! We loved the deck with bbq, and the fire pit out back. The location is secluded and peaceful yet convenient to everything. Would definitely recommend!

Add my voice to the choir of praise

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of four with two kids (2 & 6) and my senior parents.

The property is so quiet, beautiful & secluded, but also 5-10 minutes from restaurants, coffee, and shopping. We all loved Sequim, and the kids had fun playing at Dungeness Spit especially. We saw deer and a fox on the other side of the fence on the property. The night sky is packed with stars. David is a great host and responded quickly to a minor problem. Beds were comfortable, and the place was extremely clean! It just has good vibes here. If we come back to the area, we would stay again and I highly recommend this place.

Spacious home, great for Olympic Peninsula exploration!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five spent two nights at this wonderful house and loved every minute of it. The home was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and the layout well-planned. The beds were comfortable, had nice soft linens, and we all enjoyed a restful sleep. The kitchen was well-appointed and the two living areas allowed us to spread out and relax. The location was quiet and the pasture views allowed for wildlife viewing in the evening. We had easy access to local restaurants and grocers, plus Hwy 101 so we could easily jump on the loop to explore the northern part of Olympic National Park. David was very friendly, prompt to respond to questions, and a gracious host. Next time we are in the PNW, we’ll definitely stay here again!
