The main living area has a large flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen with large granite counter and seating for up to 8 guests, and two decks overlooking the panoramic ocean view. From the decks, guests can watch the ever-changing ocean scene, from dolphins whales and pelicans, to surfers, kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders. The backyard area is a dedicated wetland restoration area planted with California native plants.
The Master Bedroom has a king size bed and large private bath. Downstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds, as well as two full bathrooms. The third floor is a large private studio, with flat screen tv and sitting area with queen size futon, and a large hardwood floor area big enough for yoga practice or exercise, a full bathroom, and an outside deck with expansive views.
The sand is just a few steps away, down a sturdy set of stairs. The beach is great for exploring tide pools, swimming, kayaking and surfing. If you do not have your own board or kayak, nearby Goleta Beach has board and kayak rentals, in addition to offering pier fishing.
If you are attending a special event at UCSB or the Bacara Resort, this is the perfect place to stay. Close to the airport, UCSB, Sandpiper Golf Course, the Bacara, the new first-class ice skating rink, and more, the house is located in the residential West Village of Isla Vista. It is just a few doors away from the West Campus Bluff Trail, which is a segment of the California Coastal Trail. This segment runs from the western edge of Isla Vista to Coal Oil Point Reserve in Santa Barbara County. The West Campus Bluffs is being restored to its original natural habitat.
The beach house also has two cruiser bikes for guests use.
