Rats in the walls

My parents were in the garage bedroom and didn’t sleep all night as they could hear rats moving in the walls/floors and there was a terrible smell in the closet. They could not remain in the room after that and had to have my aunt sleep on the couch so my parents could have her room. We were there celebrating their 50th anniversary and this was the worst experience for them.

Totally Disappointing Experience

Very steep driveway up to home. Walked into the home and found water on the floor in front of non-working refrigerator, musty smell in basement, no a/c (Sent message to host a week before asking about a/c - no response until rental week was basically over) - home did not meet expectations of the home as represented in its photos on line. Did not feel comfortable walking on the wood deck. It is accurately stated that the ocean view is beautiful. Tried to call both host and the company - no answer to phone number that is supposed to be 24/7. We packed up our perishable food, suitcases, locked the door and left. Drove into Lincoln City and rented hotel accommodations for our week vacation. We are requesting some rebate from our full payment made in advance but to date no luck. We left phone messages for host and VRBO telling them we left the property and would not be returning.

Bring your binoculars!

This is a very cozy, family friendly, spacious home with amazing ocean views! No need to pay for whale watching as you can do it from the second or third deck. The home is close to shopping, restaurants, and beach access. It has the best bar in town. Make your own drinks, open the garage door, play pool and ping pong with beautiful ocean views. Recommendations; bring extra paper towels, Clorox wipes, Ziploc bags, salt and pepper etc (basics). The home was well stopped with towels, linens etc. The refrigerator did leak a lot and I spoke with management about it. We put a towel down as there were a few near slip misses but then the towel became a trip hazard. Over all a wonderful stay!

Celebration

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and in a beautiful location. The only issue we had was in asking if we could check in at 2 instead of 4 we were told yes twice that it wasn’t a problem as long as housekeeping was finished. We had to call back about 3 minutes later to leave a phone number we were told that we could not check in early. It was just frustrating to be told yes and then suddenly we were told no.

Beautiful view out of the living room and kitchen windows. Kitchen well stocked with cookware, utensils, silverware, etc.. Everyone enjoyed the game room. Fireplace kept everyone plenty warm on all levels

Relaxing Beach Getaway!

Super relaxing and cozy house! It was perfect for my bookish friends and me to spend a quick weekend getaway together! We visited some local bookstores, got tea, chocolate and lunch before settling at the house to sit on the porch to listen to the waves and read our books! Only thing was there were some bugs/beetles in the garage/play room area and the bedroom down there. However we did understand this is a fairly common thing for the coast.

Nice house with nice ocean view. Game room is a plus. However walk to beach is not easy, especially for little kids. The beach can be very windy as well.

Great for a family vacation!

This house is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. We really enjoyed our time there. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the internet was SUPER slow! That was the ONLY issue though. The house was very clean and comfy!

The perfect family home

We have 4 kids and this home was perfect for the 6 of us. We all enjoyed the game room downstairs. Good luck beating my high score on pinball; I think 88 million should stand the test of time.

Very nice property with lots to do.

Very new and clean. Lots of game machines and tvs. Plenty of open space. The beds were very nice. Only complaint is parking. There really is only room for 5 if you cram in. We will be trying to stay here again.

Beautiful location

This is a beautiful location with excellent views of the ocean and shoreline. My family really enjoyed our time here - particularly the game room. This is a great rental for a vacation. Due to spotty wi-fi/internet this would not be a great location for extended rental to do virtual work (for those of us working from home or doing school work). A few things for this trip that are not necessarily owner-related: the recreation room downstairs really smelled of cigarette smoke; it's clear someone was smoking in there despite rules. Also it would have been great if there had been at least a few coffee filters available for the first day or two. We will definitely consider this again for vacation.

Great view

The view and short walk to the beach are the top two shout outs for this property. There is a lot of space so you don’t feel as though you are on top of one another. We were surprised to find no coffee filters, a broken DVD player, broken Pac-Man game and a leaking fridge. The house had to be aired out as it smelled very musty and the garage smelled heavy of cigarette smoke. I felt like we had privacy from the neighbors, and sitting on the deck was great. The back area, by the front door has not been groomed or cared for, it looks overgrown and had cigarette butts ok the front steps do welcome us.

Great view

Nice property. 4th bedroom is futon in garage, other bedrooms are fine. Expansive view of beach at roads end is best thing about property. Entrance is behind house, and was challenging at night with the stairs and walkway being dark; bring a flashlight. Game room in garage was great for the family.

Family Beach Christmas

Rented for a family Christmas beach getaway. The kitchen was well equipped. The house is super clean and nice sized bedrooms. The views were gorgeous, and we lucked out with nice weather so we got to see a few whale spouts. The game room was perfect for family fun in the evenings. The only downside was the outside property had a lot of fallen branches and the stairs and the paths were super slick, so my parents had difficulty walking the main paths to get into the house so we used the downstairs garage most of the time, to get in/out of the house.
