Our mid town neighborhood is the ideal location to get to both the West Side (UCSC) & East Side (Seacliff Beach)
There is much to explore in this fantastic town!
Less than Two Miles from the Beaches and the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor and two and a half miles from Downtown Capitola Village or Santa Cruz Shopping & Dining.

Full details on the Suite Space follow: Private Studio Suite Entrance behind locked combination entry gate:170 Square Feet. For your comfort Tempurpedic Queen Bed., Feather Down Pillows, Operational Skylights with Blackout Blinds, Mini Fridge, Microwave, Espresso Machine.

Your private suite is accessed via side yard locked gate and entry door keypad. It is attached to our main house on the first floor although there is No living space above your suite and your space is Extremely private, although you will share one small wall with our downstairs space of which many upgrades have been completed to ensure complete privacy and comfort for our guests, as well as ourselves. We're an adult family of three with no dogs or children, our UCSC student Nephew shares the same locked side yard entry gate but is very busy with school and work and you may not see him at all during your stay. There is a side yard bistro table and chairs for you to use and enjoy the Santa Cruz weather!
Note - if your not comfortable with anything you read in our description we prefer you not book to avoid any misunderstandings and/or ask any questions prior to booking, thanks for your understanding!

- No smoking allowed on the property or within 150 feet of the property
- No more that 2 guest at a time are allowed (no visitors except students visiting parents or similar)
- This is a two story family home of three adults. Your private space is 170 square feet and has its own private entrance and bathroom on the first floor.
-There is no living space above your space. Your space shares one small wall with our downstairs. Many upgrades have been made to ensure your complete privacy, and ours!
- Cat Note: We do have an inside our house/outside curious house cat that occasionally walks into the place during cleanings...if you are severely allergic.
- Please do not spray colognes or heavy perfumes inside - outside is fine.
- Quiet Hours 11pm - 7am
- We’d appreciate it if you would share a sentence or two regarding your visit to Santa Cruz.

Thank you to our host!We had a wonderful trip that felt welcoming, safe, and warm (both literally—because of the heaters and comfy blankets—and figuratively). Great location and very clean. And don’t get me started on how comfortable the bed is! It has everything we needed, right down to the paper towels.Pros:- mini fridge and microwave- coffee/coffee maker and coffee cups- television (though wifi slow at times)- location- quiet- clean- up-to-date- comfortable bed- quick replies/response from the host- and, my favorite, the skylight windows that open with a remote control to let in fresh airCons:- small space (but has everything even a small closet)- street parking

Cute and cozy

The use of space at this property is perfectly used to give what we needed for a trip visiting friends! A cozy bed for rest and a roomy bathroom for freshening up that felt homey! The skylights were actually very nice and gave us the opportunity to wake up with soft sunlight as the weather was great during our stay. Overall a great stay for a couple and would definitely recommend!

Quaint little place

This is a quaint, little place. Ann thought of everything for our stay!! Bed was very comfortable. Shower was great!! Ann was great to work with!! Area was very nice. I highly recommend this place!!!

Nice little getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for one night to enjoy the Santa Cruz area. It was a nice location, easy to access and a comfortable stay. It is a small space, so we would not stay here for an extended stay, but for our short trip it was perfect for us!

Comfortable, great stay

The property was clean and cozy, everything was stocked up for us, the neighborhood was quiet and safe, check-in and check-out were easy, the listing is true to what you get. It was perfect for us for a couple nights. When we go to Santa Cruz again we will definitely be coming back. This is a great property!

Small, clean room in Live Oak area, Santa Cruz

Our stay here was great. Ann was prompt in her replies as well as friendly & professional. The location is close to Hwy 1 but far enough away not to have freeway noise. It was a bit challenging to find the right entrance even when following the directions. The room & space is small but utilized well, clean, functional, comfortable, updated, & quiet. The shower needs to be allotted more pressure as it was challenging & took longer to shower with the low flow. I asked for a later checkout time & was allowed to check out by noon instead of 10 am. There is no coffee maker, although there is space for one. I suggested putting in a Keurig. I would definitely stay there again. All in all, a positive stay!

This is fine for a night or two stay, too small for a week for the 2 of us. We did not scrutinize the listing as well as we should have - the listing was very accurate.As others mentioned, the toilet isn't ADA.

Great place to lay your head at night

My parents enjoyed their stay and slept comfortably with the two of them. 10 minutes away from the Capitola Village and sightseeing. Would book again in the future.

Private, clean, well organized

This rental was clean, quiet, and private. It's very comparable to a hotel room in both size and amenities, but with easier access. Despite its modest size, everything was included: filtered water and glasses, dishware in case you bring takeout home, heater, fans, instant coffee, etc. It's also nice to stay in a residential neighborhood, so that you can see the real Santa Cruz, rather than the touristy version that you get if you stay near the Boardwalk.

Cozy place with a fantastic location

Extended family gathering in several homes in the twin lakes beach area of Santa Cruz. This place was perfect to have privacy & somewhere to have all of your stuff while we gathered with family @ beaches, restaurants & their Vrbo’s 🤗 easy place to access & clean

Great home base

My boyfriend and I rented this location while we were helping my sister move. It was a great spot to come home to and relax! The host was very prompt and polite. Nice big bathroom. Big bed. Loved the sky lights that I can open or shade with remotes. The kitty was adorable and friendly! Only real short comings is no guaranteed parking in front of the home (neighborhood parking), the bed while comfy was really high (I'm 5'3"), and there is only a small hotel type fridge and microwave (completely my fault not looking into it while booking) so we were very limited on meal options unless we spent a ton eating out all the time. I would definitely book here again!

Quiet Place

Two miles from Twin Lakes Beach. Quiet street. Easy freeway access. Good bed. Cozy small room. Many provisions are equal to a motel room. No off street parking. Washed dishes (provided) in the bathroom sink. Better than staying at certain relatives house.
