The Cottage at Bluestone Falls (90 mins from NYC)

We call this The Cottage. It is one of three houses on 16 park-like acres, nestled into the woods, running along the scenic Bushkill Creek in the NE tip of the Poconos, near the Delaware River. All 3 houses are set quite far apart on the property and offer the perfect amount of privacy.

The cottage has 2 charming queen bedrooms and a large sleeping loft with 3 single beds. There's 2 stone fireplaces and a great kitchen. The massive porch is the prefect place to relax or take in the view of the river and waterfalls below. Guest have access to the entire cottage and grounds.

We are available by text or phone at all times. We may be staying on the property and are equally happy to leave you to yourselves or share coffee or a cocktail by the waterfall!

Mill Rift is a tiny community in Matamoras, right off the Delaware River that offers so many activities from rafting and canoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, fishing, antiquing, dining and much more...

Magical! The pictures don't give justice to the house or the property. We spent most of our time by the bigger waterfall, enjoying the patio, swimming hole, sauna, and fire pit. The sun room is the perfect place for coffee and a book in the morning.

Surprise and delight. The photographs don’t do this house justice. Between the thoughtfully decorated rooms, the delightful vignettes (like the cupboard in the breezeway, curated books and games) and the proximity to the waterfall — this is a hidden gem. Spending a late afternoon on the patio by the waterfalls (and in and out of the sauna) was a highlight. 10/10!! Planning to come again!

If you are looking for the perfect getaway in the mountains, with your own personal waterfall, then look no further. The cottage house on this property is so charming, and the garden room / conservatory is perfect for morning coffee or as your remote-work office. The waterfall and patio are so peaceful and add to that the wood-fired sauna rounds out the perfect retreat. Add to that, the town of Milford is so charming with lots of restaurants and shops. And can't forget the hiking options available. Just a great long weekend away, and with hosts that are so accommodating and friendly. We'll for certain be returning.

Ahhhmazing!

This place spoke to my soul. Fo’ real. The house, the lands, the waterfall, the ferns, the rocks. I am so grateful that the owners of this land have chosen to share its beauty. On a more practical note, the hosts were kind and no attention to detail was spared decorating the home- it is so comfortable and cozy. Everything was perfect. I want to come every season!

Charming home and property

We had a great long weekend at the cottage. The house was well furnished with everything we needed and we loved exploring the grounds (especially the three swimming holes). The owners were responsive and friendly, sharing the history of the property upon request. We are likely to return!

Magical house by the creek

My partner and our 3 year old and a couple of friends spent a long weekend on this magical property. The meticulously and eclectically decorated cottage was an absolute oasis from our daily lives and swimming in the creek was such a treat on the hot days. Travis was a wonderful host, easily available to troubleshoot a couple of minor issues. We were honestly sad to leave and cannot wait to return.
