Joy needs plastic surgery
Rented this property because of location and photos. Arrived after a pleasant check in. The photos must have been taken when the house was new . Both sofas were torn, cracked and peeling. Exceptionally uncomfortable to sit on. We had to put sheets over both so we wouldn’t scratch ourselves and to keep some of the peeling pleather from getting on our clothes. Carpeting old, faded and stained. Glass top end tables were dusty. Bathroom faucets ( sinks and showers) were so dingy and look like they have never been cleaned. Tub and showers need to be replaced if not at least cleaned with some bleach. The dishwasher had to be run 2-3 times and dishes still were not clean. And that was after I practically washed them first. Total disorganized kitchen as well. I feel like I spent way too much time organizing and looking for things. I did not bring a hair dryer because it was listed under the amenities but it was not in the house and I didn’t receive one until the day before we left. Fan blade missing from one of the ceiling fans and didn’t work. Totally unacceptable rental. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner. Trash overflowing in the large outdoor trash can. Front desk (Collins Vacation Rentals) response to this was that we could use their dumpster. I’m not on vacation to take my trash in the car to a dumpster!! Home across from this rental very junky with overgrown trees. On a positive note I will say that the pool was wonderful! Very clean and refreshing even though it had a broken chair and the grass around it could have been trimmed. Quick walk to beach and the beach is beautiful! St. George Island is a great beach community too! I’m just extremely disappointed that they let people rent this house with false advertising with regards to the appearance of the inside based on the current photos!! Regardless of that we had a very nice family vacation but I don’t recommend renting this house unless they do some updating on the inside of this home.
