Hale Mala Pua (Garden Home) es el lugar perfecto para reunirse con familiares y amigos o para una escapada romántica en la impresionante costa de Hamakua. Esta espaciosa casa de plantación (2,200 pies cuadrados) se encuentra justo al norte de Hilo en el entorno exuberante y tropical del Jardín Botánico Mundial en Hakalau. Dos (2) habitaciones, una de ellas tiene un futón para dormir 1 o 2 personas más, 2 1/2 baños, cocina gourmet con enorme refrigerador / congelador, sala de estar y lanai cubierto con vista al mar. Acceso al Jardín Botánico Mundial incluido para todos los días de su estadía. Huerto de frutas y mucho espacio al aire libre.

La casa cuenta con 2 Master En Suites, que es perfecta para una pareja en un viaje romántico, una familia con niños o cualquier persona que solo desee privacidad. Ideal para la pareja que quiere una boda en los jardines con su retiro de luna de miel esperando en la propiedad. Esta casa está muy limpia y decorada con buen gusto. Para su placer culinario, la cocina está completamente equipada y abierta al comedor interior para que pueda preparar comidas mientras socializa.

La casa está en tres (3) acres separados del Jardín Botánico Mundial que están exquisitamente cuidados para su uso. Experimentarás la vida en los jardines entre tus aventuras hawaianas.

Camina por los grandes huertos frutales y aprende sobre las plantas en los jardines. Observe el amanecer o el salto de las ballenas mientras desayuna en el lanai. Pasee por los jardines y su dominio privado a su gusto. O simplemente relájese y disfrute de la vida en la selva tropical.

Dentro de la sala de estar tiene un televisor de pantalla plana de 60 "y un reproductor de DVD y algunos DVD para su entretenimiento. Mire la televisión o el Océano Pacífico desde la comodidad del sofá. Cada habitación también tiene pantallas planas de 40 ". Los propietarios también proporcionaron el satélite DirecTV con canales de películas e internet gratis junto con aire acondicionado. Absolutely phenomenal!

Very quiet location a short drive from Hilo. Beautiful grounds filled with fruit trees, charming birds, and the coqui frogs will relax you at night. The screened-in lanai is airy with ceiling fans and you will enjoy every spare moment out there or even a nap. Spacious well equipped kitchen and brand new appliances throughout. Many great snorkeling adventures in Hilo make great day trips. Check out the Tuesday night traditional Hawaiian music at the Hilo Town Tavern.
Literally your backyard at this house. Amazing!

A taste of paradise

The place exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and stocked with cooking supplies (including well stocked teas), the lanai was great for eating outside or relaxing on comfortable furniture (a member of our party fell sick and preferred recouping outside), and being next to the Botanical Adventure gardens. We enjoyed walking the property among the lemon drop mango orchard, banana plants, mango tree, cacao tree, red sealing wax palms, plumerias, ... From the place we also saw a small indian mongoose, mourning and gold dust day geckos, common mynas, northern and yellow-billed cardinals, and saffron finches. Now we are telling our friends, "if you ever go to the big island of Hawaii, we have a place recommendation :-)"

Beautiful Garden Home

We enjoyed our stay at the garden home. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. We loved the screened lanai and beautiful large kitchen. Communication with Walter, property manager was easy and he was very responsive. Overall we loved our stayed. Would recommend to our friends and family who are visiting the island.

Excellent property

This house is very well stocked, the kitchen has everything you need and more. The listing mentions split AC units in the bedrooms but there is also an additional unit in the common area so the entire house is very comfortable. The screened in lanai is a great place for breakfast.

A slice of paradise

We stayed here because it is close to family and are so glad we did! Very well equipped and comfortable home in a quiet setting. The kitchen is one of the best equipped ones we’ve ever had. Not only are the cooking pots and pans of high quality, but there were lots of condiments and ingredients available too. The furniture is of a nice quality and the house was impeccably clean.

Wonderful house in beautiful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this great house. The kitchen was huge and filled with everything you could need. The beds were comfortable and the house was immaculate. We loved sitting out on the lanai and listening to the coqui frogs. The gardens are outstanding! We walked around multiple times and saw so many different flowers and varieties of plants. The orchids were gorgeous. We did not want to leave this beautiful place! Highly recommend.

Private and Tranquil

We loved the week we spent here. It was a bit out of the way from some activities on the island, but they call it The Big Island for a reason. We really value our privacy when traveling and this property delivered. We didn’t even realize when booking that it was on the Botanical Garden which was awesome as we got to enjoy exploring the gardens and decided to do the zip line. The home has everything you need, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and lots of space. We especially enjoyed evenings eating dinner in the cool of the night on the lanai. A lot of rentals on the island don’t have AC, so huge feature there. The only disappointment was initial cleanliness. There was dust buildup on all the light switches - a small detail that tells a lot about the care taken during the cleaning process. There was also a damp stanky towel that had been left in the washer for Probably a week. It took a while for the smell to come out of the machine. That being said, the property management staff were very responsive and took care of things quickly including fixing a shower that wasn’t draining. We’d definitely come back even with the issues due to staff responsiveness, the beauty of the property, and the privacy and amenities.

Comfort and convinience

Home near Hilo: peaceful, comfortable, well-maintained, very clean, and conveniently close to town. The house is equipped with all the desired comforts. The lanai was our favorite spot to enjoy morning coffee. Our stay was delightful. Highly recommended!

Peaceful Garden Paradise

We had a quite peaceful stay at the Garden Home at Botanical World Adventures. We enjoyed walking around the property looking at the different varieties of plants. We found some fruit on the ground that we were able to enjoy. We loved the massive well stocked kitchen. It was a great place to kick back relax and do nothing. The property had the at home feeling we all love to experience on our vacations. The property was far enough from Hilo to hide from the world, and close enough to take advantage of what the city has to offer. Be sure to enjoy what the area has to offer.

Private Paradise

Our family of 4 (2 adult kids) enjoyed the spacious house and yard. The kitchen and house was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. We even picked tangerines and used the electric juicer. The orchids and foliage surrounding the property was absolutely beautiful. Definitely would recommend staying here. This was the best staycation (from Oahu) and will book again in the future!!

Aloha Perfection

Perfection sums up this beautiful, comfortable and exceptionally clean home. The photos don’t do the interior or exterior justice. A large and well appointed kitchen with every thing one could ever imagine to prepare meals, including basics & spices for your use. Dinning room is spacious but meals, morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on the screened Lani quick became our favorite! Bedrooms & bathrooms were large, clean & we slept so good every night of our stay. We also appreciated the large laundry with new washer & dryer. This home is surrounded by beauty and so many species of flowers & trees, the fruit trees are abundant. Communications for directions to this property and entry into this home were clear and easy to follow. Access to the gardens of Botanical World Adventures was a bonus and we highly recommend taking time to participate in the activities offered. Multiple times we walked the property both of the home & across the street and always saw new flowers, trees, critters. We throughly enjoyed the zip line adventure, it was certainly a highlight for us & the staff at BWA were professional & fun. Icing on the cake to our stay. We hope to return one day & once again stay in this lively Garden Hime, we have told so many others about this property already and highly recommend staying here to enjoy the Big Island, a perfect Home Base to explore from!

Great family house

House is very well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotions, and everything you could want in the kitchen, including staples like oil and sugar for cooking. Botanical world across the street is a nice walk and has awesome maze for the kids to wander. Highly recommend!

Great Vacation Home

Our family loved our stay at Beautiful Home at the Botanical World Gardens. Great location/Clean House!! The property has a lot of fruit trees, beautiful flowers and plants, & landscaping is well maintained. It is directly across the street from the Beautiful Botanical World Garden. When we visit Hilo side again we will definitely come back to this property!! Highly recommended!! Walter was east to work with and will attend to any issue you have.

Lovely!

This place was one of the two most beautiful places anywhere on Hawai’i that I saw on the trip. It was a shame to leave “home” to go on our excursions. Every appliance you might imagine was there. One item aside, sleeping on the porch was a delight for our little one. Bring your own cooler. Shopping is in Hilo, and you’ll wasn’t to keep things cold. They provide ice packs. Walmart had coolers for $25. Alas, our first night, we were beset by cows in the neighboring pasture. One of them really had something to say, and was moo, moo, moo, every five seconds all night long perhaps 20’ from our bedroom window. (Not an exaggeration!) Maybe there was something wrong with the cow. I recall dreaming that there was a forked assembly line running around the bed and down the hall. One side had whirring fans (this was our fault) and on my side had packaged “MOO!” in a box. It was the first time I ever hoped the Easter bunny would bring me bovine laryngitis! The next day, the staff assured us they were actually short-necked Hawaiian giraffes, but I know a cow when I see one! You can tell. They go Moo. I wasn’t fooled. You might ask the property manager if the bulls/cows could be kept out of that pasture. The fridge compressor ran almost continuously 24/7. It may need to be serviced.

Gorgeous house in a very special and beautiful setting

The house was as pictured. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Really liked how the two bedrooms were at opposite ends of the house. Kitchen was very well equipped. The lanai was wonderful. The house is situation within an orchid and botanical garden with a view of the sea in the distances and endless rolling fields in the back. The botanical garden is a commercial tourist venture, but that all takes place across the street and we heard and saw nothing of it. We were allowed to stroll through the gardens as much as we liked. The house is about a 20 minute drive to the center of Hilo to the south, which was perfect for shopping and restaurants. Driving north up the Honoka'a coast is stunning. If you are looking for white sandy beaches, you will not find them on this side of the Big Island. It's about an hour's drive from the house for that. But the beaches in Hilo - past the port - are really underrated. Gorgeous views, good shade and excellent facilitates.

Spacious Garden Home

Perfect spot to stay if you like being away from the crowds in your own piece of paradise. Beautiful area and close enough to Hilo if you want to go to eat out.

Coming from families of farmers, ornamental horticulturists, real estate, construction and Future Farmers of America, the owners have a true spirit of the land - "the Aina". They have worked on farms, in greenhouses, tractor shops and many other ag and land related businesses.

In October 2013 the partners acquired the gardens and all the assets. "We have been investing in this project since we had contact with it and look at the Garden Home as another adventure in the gardens."

The opportunity of sharing the gardens this intimately after our Garden Director left this home was inspiring to the partners. This place has magical properties and we enjoy sharing it in this amazing "in the gardens" experience. A wander through the fruit, flowers and spices is a journey through the amazing Hawaiian history.

You are literally in the World Botanical Gardens and have free access to them throughout your stay. Air conditioning in the living room and each bedroom on warm days is so soothing. Furthermore, you also receive kama'aina pricing for any of the Botanical World Adventures (zip lines, Segways, etc). Stay a week and you get a free tour!
