Unfortunately this is a perfect case of a guest trying to pick at every possible thing/issue in order to try to get a refund after their stay. And since we can recognize the pattern and simply ignored it, the mediocre review was expected. It is very typical and we get these once or twice every few years (rarely). We been doing this for almost a decade on few platforms and we pride ourself for offering a great modern place with one of the lowest accommodations fees in the area. We did have one minor and small leak (only if raining) due to the weather and within days we got an entire brand new roof (very costly upgrade). We always analyze closely if an issue(s) can impede the guest from staying. We have canceled reservations in the past when any issue merits us in doing so after a report we get from our cleaning lady who spends 4 hours in cleaning and sanitizing the entire place. In this case, there were no issues according to her (she didn’t know about the minor leak in the roof which was found out later), and this guest communicated no issues whatsoever until after their 4-5 day stay was completed. We have a policy that if there is anything wrong with the place upon arrival that we will make it right, but we can not offer refunds after guest leave.
