El nido de la tortuga

Esta casa de playa de 1920, pintoresca y acogedora, recientemente remodelada, se encuentra frente a la playa. Esta casa está llena de una hermosa decoración bien pensada y es muy cómoda para una escapada romántica para dos o una familia de cuatro. Traiga a su amigo peludo también y disfrute del tranquilo vecindario y de la playa.

La sala de estar es amplia y está equipada con un televisor de pantalla plana y un paquete de cable. La cocina no es una cocina completa, pero tiene todas las comodidades que podrías necesitar con un quemador doble, horno de convección, microondas, refrigerador completo, cafetera y todo lo que necesites.

En el dormitorio encontrará una cama doble con un nido completo debajo. Fuera de la habitación hay una puerta de vidrio corrediza con un patio privado que incluye muebles de patio y una barbacoa de carbón.

El Nido de las Tortugas es lindo y acogedor, ¡es un gran lugar para relajarse y disfrutar de la playa!

House has an odd layout (two kitchens, two ground-level bedrooms, one upstairs) but it worked great for our family. Enjoyed playing board games together at the dining table upstairs. Beach access at Governor Patterson, a quick 2-minute drive away (access in neighborhood is closed). Just what we needed!

The property was in a nice, quiet area and had great access to the beach. The house had a very unique layout that would have been especially nice for parties who wanted individual privacy. Our family ignored the lower kitchen and spent most of our time together upstairs in the upper kitchen/family area, in the lovely hot tub on the deck (watching the sunset over the beach) or in the game area downstairs. The lower level ceiling was just about a foot taller than my basketball-player boys, but they didn't mind, and one of the blinds upstairs wouldn't lower, but the beds were clean and comfortable and we had an absolutely fantastic stay, although we all wished I would have been smart enough to keep it one more night.

Home away from Home

We stayed during a holiday weekend and even though everywhere else was so crowded . The stay was very comfortable , peaceful for our family . All we needed was available at home or a short little drive away. Would highly recommend this beautiful home .

Was happy waking up to the view of the ocean. Halfway between Newport and Yachats. Nice restaurant in walking distance. Close to sandy beaches. Would go back 4 another stay!

Perfect location! Wonderful decor

My family of 4+dog (2 kiddos - 2.5 & 7.5) stayed for 6 days and this was a perfect getaway spot. A short walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach was the highlight (we walked down almost every day, often to watch the sunset). The location was great for checking out the other beaches along the coast (south to Cape Perpetua, Strawberry Hill, Bob's Creek, etc.; North to Seal Rock, Otter Rock, Moola, etc.), and not too far from Newport for some touristy things. We were able to make most of our meals, including a couple of 12" pizzas, in the good-sized kitchen. Plenty of tools/utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and the mini oven & stovetop worked perfectly. Comfortable beds, living area, and dining area, with really pleasant decor. Lots of flowers, cute statues, and a nice enclosed outdoor space, as well as a picnic table outside. A gem of a place, and one that we would love to come visit again!

The location is great. The property was pretty cute and in good condition. Wifi did not work the entire stay even after troubleshooting for an hour. Would probably book again.

Great Location. Needs Some Work

First the good things: Very cute house, clean, pleasant, great location. The beds are moderately comfortable and the decor was very pleasant. The location is central to Newport and Florence. You can see the beach across the street, but the path down is tricky. The neighborhood is very quiet. The things that need work: When we first arrived we noticed no WiFi. Called the property manager who said she would have the owner reset it. Well, that never worked and nobody ever followed up on it. So, that means there is NOT smart TV, or satellite because neither work without internet. There are 11 antenna channels and you have to use your cell data. Since we were here to relax we let that go. Just renter beware! The kitchen setup is a little awkward. The writing on the hotplate is worn off so you have to guess what the temperature is and which way to turn the knobs. The can opener didn't work at all. The convection oven was too small for Papa Murphy's. We made things work, but I think it could be a little better. Last thing, it would be better if they closed the 2 gaps in the fence in the backyard so that it was easier to let your dogs out for potty at night. It's too easy for them to head to the neighbors house without having to keep pointing them back to their yard. That's just a wishlist tip as a dog owner though. As I said, it's a cute house with comfortable furnishings, but it could be better with a little more effort from the property manager.

This property was good, it was clean, (try not to forget to wash the wine glasses next time though), it was located in a nice neighborhood. A few blocks away from the main town and 30 minutes away from Yachats. The description of the house was not totally accurate, it said something along the lines of, "private walkthrough to the beach", well it was not. By the time we found it, its surrounded by other houses. That's not private. We also were not expecting the house to be juiced by a door to the main house. We could hear every squeak done in the other house. It was an interesting experience. Aside from all that. I would rent this property again.

Birthday Getaway

Hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed this cute cottage. Quick walk to the beach, few street lights so the stars can shine beautifully, quiet neighborhood. We will definitely try to stay again.

Adorable, inviting, welcoming little cottage!

Enjoyed our stay at this charming renovated 1920’s cottage. Close by beach access to a beautiful view of where the ocean and Alsea Bay meet. The beach is fairly quiet with few people-which we enjoyed!

If you are looking for a great location to get away on the Oregon Coast, this is it. Well maintained property. Quiet neighborhood and great people in the community. Very centrally located to make day trips up and down the coast.

We were blessed to get acquainted with them. We stayed at Turtles Nest nearly a month while waiting for our home we purchased to close. The cottage is so well decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. It is super cozy and we enjoyed our stay so much. They accommodated our doggies and the beach is just a short walk away so they couldn't have been happier, too. We highly recommend staying at Turtles Nest.

This is a great central location for all your coastal activities with easy access to local businesses and to the beach. If you are here to catch crab, be sure to have them cooked in town or plan on cooking them outside. Just let the management company know and they will make sure to have the equipment you need. The owners are very accommodating and want to ensure that your stay is a momentous one.
