LOCATION - 12 miles west of Fredericksburg
HOSTS - Your host lives on the property, but you have the home all to yourselves. Your host's home is approximately 500 feet away from the guesthouse
SLEEPS - 4 persons; Queen bedroom upstairs & 2 twins downstairs
BATH - 2 bathrooms; one upstairs and one downstairs, both are full baths w/ a tub/shower combo
KITCHEN - Fully-equipped kitchen except for a dishwasher
BREAKFAST - No Breakfast; coffee and teas are left
AMENITIES - 48” flat screen TV in living room, covered wrap around porch with rockers to enjoy hill country views, propane grill, picnic table, acreage to roam along designated walking areas of the ranch

*The house has a fireplace but it is strictly decorative and is not to be used.*
*No construction or heavy equipment or construction allowed on property.*

The home was so cozy! We really enjoyed the thoughtful card and binder with reviews from past stays. There were also resources about the home and Fredericksburg included. We would absolutely stay here again in the future!

A real treat

A quaint, beautiful home on a breathtaking property. It was a tremendous place to relax in the country when we wanted, and zip into Fredericksburg for the touristy stuff and some great food. One of the best vacation rentals we ever had. Tnanks to the owners for a great experience.

I loved the view. The cottage was so beautiful inside and out and it felt like home. So peaceful and quiet. Very clean on the inside and a homey feeling. We will definitely be back! Everyone should know about this cottage

Perfect!

This place is perfect for a weekend getaway. This was our second stay in 3 1/2 months. The house is very clean and has everything that you need, and the owners are very helpful. They even left us a lovely bottle of wine. We will be back for a third time soon!

This was our second time staying at Das Liebe and we enjoyed it even more this time. The drive into town is always very nice and being out in the hills is always peaceful. I love having a cup of coffee and watching the sun rising over the bluff from the front porch. David and his wife are wonderful hosts! We will definitely keep this house on our list next time we come to town.

Very nice and a relaxing place to stay. Just far enough out of town but not too far. All aspects of the haus were great. The upstairs bedroom A/C leaves a bit to be desired but was still comfortable, just a bit noisy. The stairs, or rather the ladder, going up made it a little difficult.

Comfortable beds, clean, cozy. The view is amazing. If you're looking for a place away from it all but not too far away, this is perfect! We arrived to sweet welcoming notes and a fabulous bottle of wine. We felt free and comfortable. We left in our three night stay only a few times to get food, returning to stay the entire day on the porch watching the cows and sky pass. It really is “the love house!”

Cozy Home with Incredible Views

Das Liebe Haus was the perfect place to stay in the hills. The home was extremely cozy and the view of the hills couldn't be better! The ONLY negative thing was that the AC wasn't very strong in some parts of the home, but there are plenty of fans. As well as a fireplace for the wintertime! We'll definitely have to return!

Awesome country atmosphere

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was not as long as we would have liked but much appreciated our accommodations. Especially enjoyed watching the deer and taking in the quietness of area. Peaceful, serene view from the porch. We spent many hours on that porch rocking and just having an awesome time. Thanks for the memories as been said and we were left an extra nice parting gift from our hosts. Will enjoy sharing it and reminiscing great time on our Fredericksburg trip. Again thanks.

The house is adorable and the area is beautiful. However we were charged an extra $60 for bringing my 75 year old Mother on a whim. It was a last minute decision but I guess having her there created $60 worth of extra work even though the owner said we left it neat as a pin. The property company is not very flexible. This was a rescheduled attempt after the pandemic hit and I work for Baylor hospital and was not allowed to travel the only option was a gift certificate I had to use before 12-31-20.

Breathtaking relaxed scenery.

Any time I had questions about anything, they were responded to in a timely manner. The place is very cozy, clean, comfortable, homey, and located just right from downtown Fredericksburg.

Great Country Setting

Beautiful views, wonderful breeze, beautiful night sky So refreshing to sit outside in the mornings and evenings in a hot Texas summer. The beds were comfortable. Everything was great. Would definitely go back.
