Fantastic location

The beauty with this property is by far it’s location! The beach is absolutely perfect! Residential are, not crowded, fun waves. The house itself is acceptable, needs some loving but the main areas (kitchen, pool area, lounge area) are comfortable and practical. Pool and hot tub are definitely a plus! Theres a new bbq too so that came in handy!

Wonderful beach property

Perfect for our extended family. The pool and hot tub were a real treat as was the proximity to the airport. We would definitely return!

Couldn't have been better

Property was located in the best of locations in Kailua, house accommodated our extended family of 10. Highlight was the pool/hot tub, we were in it two or three times a day. We'd come back with a large group for sure.

Super Expensive, not the Ritz though

First, I selected this property for Its location and it’s private pool. The beach is incredible as is the cleanliness and the size of the pool and hot tub. The check in process was not so good. The gentleman was nice but had body odor which never makes a good impression for your family. He also didn’t explain the TV operation which was complicated. They use Roku and it worked in some rooms and others it didn’t. I brought an Apple TV and tried to make it work in the master bedroom and never could get the input to switch over (there were 3 remotes for the TV - I’m not stupid with TV operations either if that’s what you’re thinking. It was just very strange). The kitchen had everything you could want to cook so if you stay here take an inventory before you head out grocery shopping. We didn’t cook anything but breakfast. The town had one or two decent restaurants but if you’re wanting something good be prepared to drive to Honolulu. The biggest shocker was the air conditioning. Perhaps this is normal on Hawaii but they just had those wall units and there weren’t enough of them, especially in the master bedroom and bathroom areas. We only had my wife and kid so I can’t speak to the rest of the bedrooms except to say that like the rest of the house the decorating was lacking. They had plenty of beach toys which was nice. The washer and dryer came in handy. Certainly could use more than one old chair on the master bedroom balcony to watch the sunrise. I’m summary without the beach location and quality of the pool I wouldn’t recommend staying here regardless of the cost. I paid a tremendous amount and I expected the house itself to meet my expectations which it did not. If you have a large group and just want to chill on the beach maybe this is worth it. For smaller groups looking for a house that reflects the cost I would look elsewhere because without the beach, pool, and pool area this house is just accommodates several people and has a nice kitchen.

Dream getaway!!!

This property is absolutely amazing! We enjoyed every night of our stay and all the amenities that came with the house. Access to the beach is convenient, and it’s great for spending relaxing time or playing in the ocean. The sand is wonderful and free of rocks. When we didn’t feel like playing in the ocean, we could relax in the pool or hot tub. The home was spacious and provided us with everything that we needed during our stay. It truly was a dream vacation, and we would return to this property in a heartbeat!

BEST VACATION EVER!

My family and I (my husband, two sons, their wives, and two grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is beautiful, well-appointed, spacious, comfortable and filled with amenities. And the beach is private, MAGNIFICENT and, literally, in the back yard. Moreover, the manager and staff were beyond-responsive to our needs and extremely helpful in every way. I highly recommend it as an EXCELLENT venue for a happy family vacation!

Beachfront home in Kailua

Superb location, important features of home worked perfectly such as air conditioning and internet.. Kitchen well sized and outfitted with lots of cooking utensils. Lots of bed linens and bathroom towels provided. Pool and outside patio area was a huge plus, well designed and private.. Highly recommend and properly priced the experience offered and found.

Amazing!!

When I was looking online for a house to rent for our first visit to Hawaii, this house stood out to me. I am so glad I rented it! The home is even lovelier than the pictures make it out to be. This is was the most well stocked home I've ever rented and we couldn't have been more pleased. The location is absolutely perfect and watching the sun rise directly in front of the house was serene. Perfect communication with Joan prior to and during the rental. If I ever get the chance to return to Oahu, I will definitely be renting this home again!

Magical

This property earned many exclamations of awe! First, the location. The quiet, beautiful beach is absolutely amazing -- and in your own backyard! The pool area seemed to be "the spot". The hot tub, pool, BBQ, and outdoor seating made it the gathering area for our crew. The location is ideal. It is a bike ride or a walk to the little market a mile away. (Great coffee and sandwiches!) It is also an easy mile and a half to town. The house is located on a private street, on a private driveway. The house. Wow. The house. It is huge. There is plenty of sleeping space for several people. We used each of the four main bedrooms for our adult kids. The master bedroom w/ bath is amazing. It is the only bedroom with the ocean view in the room. There is a fifth bedroom (really, a small apartment) that had to be accessed through another bedroom, which was a little odd, but didn't really effect our stay. Worth keeping in mind when calculating where your guests will stay. The views from the house are spectacular. Truly indescribable. Honestly, it is best experienced in person. The little picture of the house on VRBO doesn't do it justice. You really have to see it for yourself. Did I mention the beach? LOL. Yes, the beach is amazing. So beautiful. The views...oh, the views... They provided some boogie boards and beach chairs which everyone enjoyed. Working with Joan was very easy, which I appreciated as we navigated COVID concerns. It was the perfect house for our family as we gathered from all over the country. (The time went by way too fast....)

Wonderful location on the beach

We had a great stay on Kalama beach. Beautiful water and sand, and we made great use of both beach and pool. Internet was out for a few days while we were there, but the property manager was helpful in getting Charter out to fix it promptly and reimbursed us for a hotspot in the interim. Thanks Joan for all your work to make sure it got fixed! A great stay - relaxing!

Loved it!

Property was better than the pictures! Clean and spacious. Property managers were available and responsive to requests. Plenty of linens, towels, and kitchen stuff to feel comfortable. Highly recommend for a relaxing week or 2 in Kailua.

The perfect getaway

This was the perfect property and everything we were looking for. The house is fantastic - a mix of modern with Hawaiian character. The layout was open enough that everyone could feel connected no matter where they were in the house, but still separate enough for people to find time for themselves if they needed it. The kitchen is massive and perfect for family-style cooking. We enjoyed cooking dinners without having to send people out of the kitchen because there wasn't enough room. Everyone was able to stand around the island or sit at the kitchen table and enjoy the love and laughter as we cooked together. The outdoor amenities are incomparable. The pool was the perfect respite after long days of working at the university. The hot tub was the cherry on top. In addition, the backyard sits directly on Kailua Beach, but there is enough foliage around to protect the privacy of the yard/house. Just a few steps through the back gate and you have access to the most beautiful sunrises, a gorgeous 2.5 mile white sand beach, and some of the friendliest neighbors you can imagine. Joan, the booking agent, was fantastic. He was very communicative, attentive to our needs, and easy to work with. I highly recommend this property for all future bookings on Oahu.

Nice location but not clean

Considering we paid over $20k for a week’s lodging, we were very disappointed upon seeing the house. We’ve rented two other houses in Kailua, on Kalaheo strip, in the past and have had great experiences. Over priced for this location. Motel 6 quality cleaning. Upon arrival, we found a dirty kitchen sponge and a dried stiff kitchen towel at the sink, visibly dirty fridge handles and door and heavily stained bed sheets in two of the rooms, with soiled comforters. The property manager did bring new sheets for us at our request & we removed the soiled comforters). Large dead cockroach in the bedroom with no ceiling fan. That room only had a mini window air conditioner so the room was already too warm by late morning. The property manager assured us that the house is sprayed monthly, and that was why the roach was dead. Unfortunately, we had large live roaches in the master suite and one of the downstairs bedrooms during the week & found combat roach motels in every room of the house, including the kitchen window sill and closets. Furthermore, we had small dust like insects in the cabinets and kitchen counter all week and small dark bugs crawling on the counters in the master bath all week. The ceiling fan in the living room does not turn on & 95 % of the house windows do not open and are permanently stained & obscure the view. Even the rooms that had nice views kept the curtains closed because of it. The jacuzzi is warm, but no jets. The patio furniture is very worn and patio door hasps broken and cant be locked. The beach was beautiful, as was the view from the master balcony. the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and there were plenty of towels, however, we will definitely not be returning to this location.

Perfect beach house

It would be hard to imagine a more perfect spot for a beach vacation. The home was large and had plenty of room for our extended family group of 9. Huge pool and jacuzzi, great outdoor lanai, and just steps to a beautiful, uncrowded beach, that file like it was all ours. Paradise!
