The cleanliness of the house left a lot to be desired. Bathrooms downstairs are really dated. The location is magic! We spent as little time in the house as possible.
If you can overlook (or embrace ) the extremely odd and crowded and VERY outdated interior furniture , decor and construction of this old house (think Grandma antiques with many kickknacks and artificial plants with mismatched stained college furniture ) you will be rewarded with its great location , wrap around deck , beach views and is well
equipped with everything you need for a nice vacation (and lots of beds) - The rental
company was EXCELLENT with communication and rental process .

OK stay but the house had issues
We yearly vacation in OBX- and best part was we were two blocks from a Target.
Positive- 2 fridges!! There was a large hot tub, wrap around porch with good amount of comfortable furniture. The kitchen was large and well equipped. Nice large TV in main living room. Elevator outside to 2nd level.
Issues- The house's AC worked at a minimum. The owners knew this because there were plug in fans in every single room which is the only way we were able to tolerate sleeping in 80 degrees. Rooms were very small in size- second floor appeared to be a completed attic level of living. If looking for a small cottage antique home- this is it. That is not what appears in the showing of this home on the internet- and not at all what we were looking for.
Issues-- made a call to maintenance for main front door handle broke-- two guests cut their hands on the door handle-- had to duck tape it to get through the week. Never heard back from anyone. We made it work.
Issues- this location to beach IS NOT easy to get to the beach. You have to hike over a dune-- lose deep sand. Our grandparents tried and were not able to make the walk to the beach. The walk way to the beach goes half way- and hard hiking the rest.
Issue- basketball hoop was broke, tiny parking area w/ no parking access under the home. The outside shower was disgusting and under the home was caked feet of sand from appears weather storms over the years. Broken old furniture outside under home. THIS IS NOT A $12,000 VACATION HOME.
