*Ask about weekly options to rent the adjacent event barn($3K) and cottage($1200) summer 2018! As you see in the photos this is the perfect location for weddings, family reunions, holiday festivities or summer adventures at the nearby mountains, State park and lake!
Approaching the Farm at Webb Lake Woods you'll be taken in by the romance of the large tree-lined circular driveway and the breathtaking views that welcome you, from the lake to the mountains. There is a garden bench situated in between the trees and a lovely flower bed, a perfect place for quiet contemplation, or for holding hands and making new memories. You find yourself nestled between the Mt. Blue and Tumbledown mountain ranges, and across the street from Webb Lake. You have arrived at a vacation home that offers the comforts of home, the ambiance of a rustic retreat, and the luxury you expect when you are vacationing.
Entering the home from the entrance to the right of the house you will first come to a comfortable den area, it has a queen size sleeper sofa and an armchair. This room offers quiet, with a view of Webb Lake and the surrounding mountains. It would be an ideal spot for reading, writing, meditating or catching up with friends in an intimate setting.
Moving on you come to a brand-new half bath with a vanity with sink and a toilet. It's in a great location for a quick touch- up on your way out to explore, or as you make your way to greet guests at the front door!
The living room is a beautifully appointed room has a wall made up of shelving with tasteful decorations, a large flat- screen TV and DVD player. It has all new furniture including a couch and two rocking armchairs, side-tables and lamps. It is likely though that the very first thing you notice upon entering the room is the magnificent view through the large picture window. You'll want to pinch yourself, but please refrain as these large picture windows continue throughout the entire mountain-facing side of the house. If a game night is on the family agenda during your stay, you'll be happy to know that you have access to Monopoly, Scrabble, Cribbage and The Camp Game! For outdoor fun there is Bocce Ball, Bean Bag Toss, Lawn Darts and Ladderball.
As you depart from the living room there are sliding glass doors that take you outside to an expansive deck with glass railings to prevent any obstructed views. There you will find dining space for six, and additional seating for those wanting to enjoy the sounds of the evening with a glass of wine. There is a propane grill for those nights when steak, chicken and burgers are on the menu. There is also a lobster pot in the kitchen that is perfect for steaming/boiling fresh Maine corn.
Coming back inside you enter the kitchen which shares the same incredible view as the living room. You will find brand new appliances including a built-in refrigerator, cooktop, double oven, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig and standard coffee maker. We have also included a blender, and all the utensils and gadgets you might need during your stay. There is ample space on the Maine slate counter-top for your culinary creations and space at the bar for your guests to sit and join in.
In between the kitchen and the dining room you will find a unique bar area, stocked with everything from wine glasses to martini glasses. There is a small sink and ample room for your favorite red wine selection. This area is the perfect stop in which to refresh your palette between activities.
Moving on you enter the formal dining area. There is seating for 10 at this gorgeous mission-style dining set. The table has been positioned to offer the best view of the mountains while dining. This room shares the theme of large picture windows like all the other mountain-facing first-floor rooms. Even if your meal is casual, you'll have a hard time not dining in this room. The comfort and warmth will lend itself to prolonged meals, with meaningful conversations.
Off the dining room is a second, smaller dining area, it has been lovingly referred to as the 'compass room' as this is the only room with a perfect view of the lake and the mountains no matter where you are situated. Enjoy meals with a smaller group, have a fun-filled game night, enjoy your morning coffee with the sunrise, or an evening refreshment with the sunset. The possibilities are only as limited as your imagination.
Near the entrance is the stairway to the second floor. At the top of the stairs if you go to the far right you will come to the first of the bedrooms. All bedrooms have new L.L. Bean bedding, the softest of comforters, high quality sheets, and pillows
with varying firmness to meet everyone's sleep preference. There are also new shades on all of the windows so you can restrict the light for afternoon naps after a long hike, or if you just want to sleep in.
This first large room has a lake view, is well lit and has a queen size bed. There is a flat screen TV in the armoire, dresser, nightstand with lamp, comfy armchair, alarm clock and closet.
The next bedroom faces the mountain. It is well lit and has a queen size bed, mounted TV, dresser, nightstand, lamp, alarm clock and closet.

Here are some things people visiting Maine need to know in advance:
Cell phones: There are currently no cell phone towers in the town of Weld. If your cell is Wi-Fi compatible you will have no problem; otherwise you'll need to take a scenic 7-minute drive to a spot the locals call the 'phone booth'. Pull out of the driveway and take a right. You can't miss it as you won't be the only car there!
Internet: Most houses have internet at this point, but some are on a limited download capacity. Further, some are on satellite internet which is MUCH faster than dial-up, but not as fast as broadband. If you plan on large downloads, or need a certain type of connection, please be sure to mention it when discussing rental houses.
Weather: If you have heard it once, you've heard it a hundred times: if you don't like the weather in New England, wait a minute. It can be hot in Weld and cool in Farmington so make sure to pack a variety of clothes — from a bathing suit to a sweater for cool evenings. Check out the current local weather at www.weather.com
Bugs: A lot of people ask us if we have mosquitoes...we sure do. But they aren't huge and they don't ruin a vacation. Bring some repellent, or pick some up at the local general stores and you will be fine; usually, you won't even notice them. Dogs: We love dogs around here, but each town has their own rules about pets. Make sure to look for signs stating if dogs are allowed and always have them on a leash. And if they leave anything behind, please pick it up. You can be fined for not picking up after your four-legged friend.
Raccoons, Bears and other annoyances: You probably have them too, but raccoons can make you regret last night's lobster dinner. No one wants to pick up old, smelly shells that have been cast out onto the lawn by these cute, but curious and disastrously messy, little guys.
