The very simply furnished and cozy apartment with balcony in the center of the Walser village Monstein provides for 3 persons on 50 m2 a homely atmosphere and a sunny, unobstructed location for your holiday - ideal for sport joyful and peace-seeking guests, the authentic values ​​of Alpine in looking mountains.

The attic apartment with bevels (ceiling height 1. 90m) has: 1 double, 1 single bedroom, 1 living room with balcony, 1 kitchen, 1 toilet and 1 shower. The kitchen is equipped with: stove and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and many other useful utensils. Radio, HD-TV and WiFi available.


Located at 1650 m above sea level on a sunny terrace, Monstein has until today the unmistakable character of a typical Walser village. The Hotel-Restaurant Ducan and Veltlinerstübli with its excellent cuisine invite you to linger. The highest brewery in Switzerland and the first brewery in the canton of Grisons produces excellent beer products here. The urban Davos with its Top Picks for the summer and winter tourism is just a few minutes by car or by public transport.

We visited from UK for a quiet sightseeing break, it was perfect for this, spent time looking around St Moritz , Davos , Klosters , early snowfall made the sightseeing perfect , visited Hotel Ducan opposite for glass or two of Monstein Beer, location is excellent, car is essential but driving is effortless.Host brilliant, accomodation is ideal for a getaway, love to return

The shower was a bit uncomfortable. The internet was not all the time and in all the apartment strong enough. I suggest to add some heat resistant gloves in the kitchen. We had a wonderful stay and will come back for sure.

Perfect location if you like authentic places

The apartment has the charm of an authentic Walser house. It is low and parts of the floor creak, which makes the stay so funny. The flat is perfectly clean and the hostess is very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking space for the car, wifi works well and the place is perfectly warm at this time of year (November). It is fully equipped and the location with the unobstructed view is unparalleled. Only if you are taller than 190cm and find a state-of-the-art shower and kitchen equipment (although everything is there and works well) necessary to appreciate your stay, I would look further. But otherwise: perfect!

Amazing!

We stayed for 4 nights while tobaggening in the region. We didn't know anything about Monstein and we were so pleasantly surprised! It is the most beautiful and quaint mountain village. Everyone in the town is so friendly. There are two restaurants (we had a lovely chat with the woman who owns the one up the street) and a small grocery store where you can pre-order a fondue mix to eat in the apartment (highly recommend!). Oh yes and the highest brewery in Switzerland is right next door! The apartment is in a traditional (older) house so it is not everything is new but it is perfectly adequate. Ursula and Christian live downstairs and were amazing, lovely hosts. They were incredibly responsive and while Christian spoke English quite well, Ursula struggled a bit but attempted to speak in English with us, for which we are so grateful. She even provided a sled for our daughter to use in the vast yard (with an amazing view!) behind the house. 10/10 would recommend and would love to come back!

Appartement très coquet et très propre situé dans un endroit idyllique, au calme et malgré tout près de Davos. La carte de séjour donne droit aux transports publics gratuitement dans la région. De plus, accueil très chaleureux. Seul hic, mais rien à voir avec l'hébergement, c'est que la plupart des remontées mécaniques de la région (télécabine et téléphérique) étaient encore fermées !! (10 au 13 juin 2025)

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung in traumhafter Umgebung

Super nette Vermieterin Ursula, tolle Lage, Wohnung ist klein aber fein, große Menschen haben allerdings mit der Deckenhöhe an manchen Stellen in der Wohnung wahrscheinlich ein Problem, man gewöhnt sich aber daran. Die traumhafte Ruhe und Aussicht ist toll! Wlan klappt manchmal nicht perfekt.

Erholsame Tage in uriger Umgebung

Wir hatten einen schönen Familienurlaub. Die Ferienwohnung ist einfach, sehr sauber und mit Flair. Unsere Tochter hatte eine eigene kleine Kammer. Vom Balkon aus haben wir die Bergsicht sehr genossen! Vom Ort aus fährt stündlich der Postbus ins Tal. Direkt von der Wohnung aus, kann man gute Wanderungen unternehmen. Handtücher muss man im Gegensatz zu Ferienwohnungen in Deutschland/Österreich selbst mitbringen. Das sollte man wissen :-)

Das Walserhaus ist wunderschön. Einfach, aber alles was man braucht. Nur zu groß darf man nicht sein, sonst muss man gebückt laufen. Nette und unkomplizierte Vermieter, toller Ort mit guter Öffi Anbindung zu den Skigebieten. Wir kommen wieder.

Schöne Unterkunft

Eine gemütliche Unterkunft für bis zu 3 Personen. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. In der Wohnung fehlt es an nichts. Monstein ist ein schöner Ort für Rad- und Wandertouren. Mit der Kurkarte kann man die weiter entfernte Umgebung auch mit dem Bus erreichen.

Magnifique !

Très joli appartement au dernier étage d’un chalet typique de la région. Le village est très calme et très joli. Le propriétaire nous a conseillés des randonnées et nous avait préparé des cartes de réduction pour les bus et activités de la région. Nous avons été très contents de ce séjour… juste un peu court
