About Scott

I am a San Diego Native and lived for many years in South Mission until I had to move inland because I was getting too lethargic about work. (An innate risk with the property, you've been warned) :0) When not working (Management & Technology Consulting and Real Estate Development), I love travel (50+ countries), sailing, surfing, golf, hiking and all the other outdoorsy activities San Diego offers.

Why Scott chose Mission Beach

I purchases this vacation rental in South Mission Beach because of location! location! location! South Mission is close to Belmont Park/Wavehouse pool and the most affluent and mature part of Mission Beach. Walking to everything you need is a nice luxury. Mission beach is also the only community in San Diego where the Beach and the Bay are in such close proximity to each other. I chose the 2nd floor of the building so that I would have privacy from the people on the boardwalk but low enough to stay connected to the beach.

I also tricked the Audio/Visual of the rental out so that my tenants have access to NetFlix, Playstation, and Flat-screens in every room. There is also auxiliary jack for music players.

What makes this condo unique

Walking to everything is a very special feature. I like walking over to Canes to grab a margarita and appetizers to watch the sunset, or pull my cayak or sailboat down to the bay for an afternoon sail.

Great view, perfect location!

We had such a great time in Mission Beach! The condo was comfortable for our group (3 adults, 2 children) and was conveniently located. Everything we wanted to do was just a short drive. We loved being able to walk out to the bay or just two blocks to the beach. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely condo. The location was perfect! Everything we needed was right there...beach towels, chairs, toys for the kids, pretty much anything you could think of. I had a lot of questions once we arrived but Scott responded quickly. We felt at home and comfortable. Would definitely do again.

Bayside location was a priority for us with 3 small kids and the location did not dissapoint.

About what you’d expect for a beach rental that likely gets a lot of activity. Good, not great accommodations with most everything you need to enjoy the beach. Could use some additional “love” from a maintenance standpoint (several light bulbs need to be replaced, never could get LR TV to work but decided that was actually a plus, fridge needs some elbow grease on the next cleaning, etc. ) All in all, we enjoyed our time there with the grand kids!

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay here, it met our needs perfectly. I really liked the keypad entry! Our group could split up and not worry about who had the keys. Our teens walked to and from Belmont Park and felt safe even late at night. The beaches are close, it was great! Our only complaint was other renters loudly coming up the stairs at 2am, but that can't be helped. It *was* spring break week. The freezer made a weird noise at one point, I contacted Scott and he was responsive. Oh, and the parking space was small, but we read that in someone else's review, so we didn't get a huge rental car. Our Nissan Rogue fit fine. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful condo and perfect for kids

This condo is beautifully decorated and the beds are perfect for a family of 6. The master has been outfitted with a queen and bunk beds so my husband and I could put our kids in the bunks and have the private bath. This allowed my parents to have the king and use the smaller bath in the hall. The couch!!! Csnt even begin to say how comfortable it is and perfect for curling up with a good book. The only trouble was the doors. The locking system works just fine once you can figure it out but it took a good 24 hours before that happened. Not really user friendly and just be careful because the front door doesn't latch with the handle, you have to make sure the deadbolt sticks. I would absolutely stay again though, now that I've got it figured out :)

The location is great and very fun. The bones of the condo are very nice, attention to detail wasn’t what we expected. Several problems all could have been fixed by a house keeper that actually did their job. I would stay there again and Scott was very understanding, but probably should had discounted or offered some type of compensation. We lost a couple half days dealing with maintenance issues. The pictures are true and the condo has a ton of potential, I would make sure everything is cleaned and drains are working. Even some appliances were making some noises and TVs were difficult to figure out. Great place and location?????
