Although it’s just a short drive from the shops and restaurants in Joshua Tree Village, the close proximity to the national park means you can enjoy that “away from it all” feeling with the convenience of nearby amenities. The property can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests when the optional casita is included.

This main house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests in 2 stylish bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the living area. The main bedrooms are located in their own private corners of the home, both with ensuite bathrooms, custom closets, ceiling fans, and direct patio access via a sliding glass door that lets in lovely natural light. Each bedroom has unique local art loved by the owner and premium linens from Parachute providing the ultimate luxury.

The casita has the third bedroom and bathroom. Please note that the casita will be locked and inaccessible unless you make a booking for five or more guests. We never rent the casita separately from the main house.

The recently revamped main house kitchen is picture-perfect and fully equipped for any culinary endeavor. Like the rest of the home, even the kitchen offers stunning views. Appliances include a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer (with ice maker), microwave, and dishwasher. The sleek cabinets are stocked with dishes and glassware, and a blender, coffee, and a drip coffee maker are ready for your breakfast routine. The breakfast bar seats 4 and you will find a large table set for 6 in the indoor dining room. You may also be tempted to enjoy your meal on the otherworldly patio next to the BBQ grill overlooking the national park at the outdoor dining table set for 6.

An additional kitchen (kitchenette) is available in the casita for bookings of 5 or more guests.

There is a sprawling living room in the main house, plus many additional lounge areas around the property for groups to settle into based on the level of privacy or camaraderie that you desire. After a hike, kick back and relax on the couch (seating for 6), flip through a book, turn on the TV (and Roku), or play some tunes through the Bose speakers. An intimate reading and musical nook provides a separate space.

Need additional space to read or work? The casita has its own separate living room as well (Available with bookings of 5+ guests).

✦ OUTDOOR SPACE ✦
The outdoor space has been arranged to optimize fun and relaxation, and to capture as much of the high desert’s beauty and sun as possible across 2.5 private acres. You’ll want to spend as much time as possible on the back patio, where you’ll find a cozy 4-person Jacuzzi-brand hot tub sitting under a vast canopy of stars. On a hot afternoon, the cooling “cowboy” tub is the perfect place to refresh after a hike in the park (please note: the cowboy tub is not available during winter months). A propane fire feature beckons as a gathering place on cool evenings with seating and views of Joshua Tree National Park. Sun loungers are also available for relaxing.

Guest Access:
You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Only registered guests are allowed, unless specifically agreed during the booking process. We encourage taking walks on our property, however please be careful not to wander into our neighbor's backyards in the surrounding area.

Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to all the action at Caelum Joshua Tree. Some of our favorite options available to you:

• Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.

• Pioneertown: Step back in time to this rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.

• The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.

Many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.
