Welcome to the Local Legends Lounge! This is the premier couple's or solo traveler guest suite in Louisville! This exceptionally well appointed studio has you draped in luxury, thoughtful details, artful style, and you're STEPS from dining and night life with free parking. Smack dab in the middle of everywhere you want to be. This IS the ideal location when visiting Louisville.

The Space:
Thoughtful details that were hand selected with an all things Louisville theme in mind encapsulate this artfully crafted suite. All that we cherish in Louisville, crafted just for you on your trip!

You are also welcome to take in the outdoor patio in the rear equipped with a propane grill and lovely patio seating. This is a communal space used by other guests staying in the home. We just ask that you're respectful to them, and they will be respectful to you. A lovely gathering space to meet like minded travelers!

Great location close to tons of nightlife, coffee shops, and restaurants. Easy to get anywhere in the city. Very quiet location, too. Perfect spot for a solo traveler or a couple.

Comfortable and convenient

Stayed here for a family members wedding in the Louisville area. The place was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would certainly consider staying here again in the future..

Pros: location, charming space, comfortable bed, clean enough, communicative host, parking. Cons: missing some basic things that would dramatically improve the experience: hangers, a bath mat, a longer length mirror besides the bathroom mirror, some kind of clothing storage besides the rack, and the pillows could be replaced. Towels had stains. Some snags we hit: the bedside lamp didn’t have a lightbulb, we had issues with the lock — you have to pull on the door in order for the lock to unlock or lock. Charms of an old building, I just wish we had been given a heads up prior to checking in late at night after a long drive.

Great location!

This home is, IMO, the best neighborhood of Louisville! It was two blocks away from Bardstown Rd which has amazing restaurants & bars. The home was very clean (second floor, so do expect stairs upon your arrival) and had a great backyard area to share with the other vrbo stays. Great parking in back as well as, street parking was always available! Definitely recommend.

The place was in a great area and check in communication easy. It was quaint and charming and had what we needed. Overall it was just fine. We stayed 4 nights and I would have liked an extra blanket and towel. The entry stairs were a bit steep and somewhat difficult for a senior citizen but I climbed many staircases like this in Europe over the years and never remember it being a problem so I am sure that it is just me being senior.

AWFUL communication

I don’t leave reviews, because I think they’re a waste of energy, however this place warrants one to save anyone from staying here. I contacted the owner by text a couple days before my arrival on the Vrbo app. I wanted to see what my options were for an early check in, as I would be in Louisville at 12:20pm, & check in was at 4:00. I called four times the day of my arrival, and had to reach out to support to get ahold of him. No response. Then my arrival information was sent 30 minutes past the time it was promised. As if the communication could not get worse, I had trouble with the door (I’m human), and 20 minutes had passed before the owner even gave me advice on what to do. Then proceeded to be incredibly rude to me after the fact when I booked another place and voiced my concerns. Would NOT recommend this place for any solo women travelers or people who are looking for a pleasant host. Very very very poor behavior.

Great location with roaches, mold, one stained bath towel for two

No frills space. For two of us there was one stained bath towel. Mold under kitchen sink and on ceiling in shower. Large black ants but none on the bed so it was doble. The next morning, two cockroaches scurried about the bathroom while using the toilet. The toilet seat is cracked and pinched my bfs butt cheek. We texted the host and he never responded. We plan on getting a refund bc we only stayed the one night. Do not stay here!!!

Tight in louisville

The property itself was very cute and utilized its space well however the place was very small and tight. The area and location was similar. Cars lined up on both sides of the road and made for parking to nearby shops and restaurants difficult. It was quaint and cute and for a night it was addiquate but definitly not enough room for a family or extended stay.

Great location!

Very comfortable. Great location. Nicely decorated. Just a few things, only one drinking glass and one coffee cup. Left one more of each. The toilet seat was cracked. Really could use another small chair. All and all, a great stay! Thanks.

Highlands stay

Overall this stay was great! The location was perfect and we enjoyed being able to walk to the nearby restaurants and bars. The apartment was cute and got the job done. The entry way to the upstairs may not be ideal if you're over 6ft or on the bigger side but wasn't a big deal. There were minor imperfections such low water pressure in the shower and the bathroom sink not wanting to drain, which made getting ready a hassle. But overall the property was nice, updated and the location couldn't have been better. We had a great stay and would stay again!

Overall, very nice

For my tastes, the mattress was way too soft. Woke with a sore back which plagued me for the rest of my visit. Also, a cleaning person barged into the space a full two hours before check-out time. Not cool.

Disappointed

We stayed here for a week and as previously mentioned by other guests there is no wardrobe, or even a chest of drawers. A toaster and kettle would have also been useful along with a change of towels mid week. It was cold and the only source of heating was from an air conditioning unit at the top of the stairs, we couldn’t use it as it was so loud. I didn’t like the fact that there is a door at the bottom of your stairs which lead into the downstairs flat. It’s very noisy as the walls are paper thin, we could here other guests TV, conversations and even their phones ringing, guests coming in and out etc. In fact you could hear everything. We didn’t get one decent night sleep the whole week we were there. Theirs also a fire station literally around the corner which you can hear the sirens and radio through the night. It’s more like a house share with total strangers! I think the property should be more accurately described. Very Disappointing, would never go back.
