It wasn't terrible. It smelled musty and like dog. It really needed deep clean. There were cobwebs in my bathroom and dirt and dust in the corners of every counter. It was clean on the surface. It just needed a deeper clean.

Off the beaten path gem

The perfect place to stay if you want to visit destin but not stay in the middle of the crowds. Plenty of room and well stocked with the basics.

Staycation

I’m a local massage therapist I own a spa in Crestview and just wanted to do a quick staycation after massaging and working hard for the holiday season I needed some much needed time off plus wanted to make memories this new years. I really liked the property over all. Could use some minor fixes/upgrades. But it was the perfect fit. For my husband myself and our 7 children.

The house was perfect for us the beds were comfortable it was furnished nicely it was clean. It was located about 10 minutes from my sisters house. There were a few imperfections but overall I would rate it a 9.8.

Thank you for staying. This 1960's house is in one of the best neighborhoods in Fort Walton Beach. It is convenient to the beaches, shopping, restaurants and Eglin & Hurlburt.

Tired

This house needs to be maintained. I certainly appreciate it being dog friendly and the host was accommodating. We arrived earlier than expected and was allowed early access. BUT this house needs a deep,deep cleaning, vents in ceiling have black soot,the bathtub in the common bath is tired and stained,all doors need painting, carpets should be replaced. The most noticeable and offensive is the musty smell in the entire house. The lawn needs to be raked,mowed front and back. Patio table was filthy. The cleaning company made sure inside of home was clean. This house needs much more than surface cleaning.

We are aware that the age of the house causes it to have older fixtures and "look and feel". We did have the carpets professionally cleaned; and do so regularly. We have regular lawn service, I suspect the rain caused a delay in it during your stay. We personally check the house and it is clean; it is also old. We will share your feedback with the owner. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our property, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

Great house, Awesome Property Manager

The property was exactly as described. Great location, good neighborhood. We had one little problem, I told the manager it was ok as is but he went well beyond what we needed and had it taken care of within just a little while. This is the way you keep customers coming back. I know I will. Thanks for a great vacation.

Thanks for staying. This 4 bed, 2. bath house with a fenced yard is great for a family (and your pet). The little problem was a big problem to me (the fridge wasn't cooling) so I got a repair person out the same day to take care of it.

Overall OK

House needs a real good clean. AC had to be set on 64 to keep living room and kitchen cool during the day. Master bed is very wobbly. One room has a sky light that make room very hot.

Thank you for the review. A quick call and we would have taken care of any issues you had, but we did not hear from you.. As to the AC, it is working fine. I walked in after you left and the house was freezing cold and the AC filter was missing. The sky lights are located in the kitchen and one of the bedroom. These were popular when the house was built 50+ years ago. We encourage our guests to call with anything out of sorts so we can help. Don't be shy!!

2024 Florida trip

Overall, the house is adequate for people to stay in. Problems were cleanliness of carpet and tile. As well as towels that were supposed to be provided or found dirty in the washing machine. Also dirty towels in the master bath. Property managers were informed and stated that they would have a cleaning crew take care of it, but nobody ever showed up.

Great overall stay but could use improvements to make it excellent!

Washer and dryer were ancient they worked but just barely. Washer leaked and dryer only worked on one setting. Very limited amenities no spices to cook with. And none of the bed sheets would stay on the beds!!! With a small investment of new washer and dryer and bed sheets this place would be perfect. With the washer leaking it leaves the garage smelling moldy and musty. But our family had plenty of room and had a great stay

Hi: Thank you for staying with us. We do not leave food consumables in any of our properties; and most companies here do not either. We are in the process of replacing the washer/dryer as they are quite old. Also, I will check out the sheets and replace if necessary; the current guests have not had any issues with those but they probably have a different set. Thank you again for the honest comments.

House was not clean!

Upon arrival, the house did not smell or look clean. The couch had pet hair on it. It smelled damp and it didn’t help with the bedrooms have carpet in them. Most everyone in my family has pets and we know when a house is not being cleaned after animals have been inside the house. The listing shows that it is pet friendly, but that does not mean it does not need to be kept clean..

This guest did not stay in the house. She did arrive and called me to tell me she had two people with her that are allergic to pets, so she wanted a full refund. We do not hide the fact that this place is pet-friendly. I generously gave her a 50% refund even though I was under no obligation to do so. She started with the claims in the review a few days after she left. I address them below, While the house is older. but it is not dirty or damp. The sofa did not have pet hair on it as the cleaners remove that. That said, a pet-friendly place is not a place for someone with allergies to book.

Super pleased with our stay!

Rented this house for a few days while visiting family about 15 minutes north. There were 6 of us: My parents in their 70s, they got the master bedroom with attached bath. My husband and I took the bedroom at the end of the hall and both teenage boys got their own room and we shared a bathroom in the hall. Mattresses were comfortable and bedding clean.The hall bathroom has a door to the outside, which we actually found convenient. The bathrooms had a couple rolls of toilet paper, plenty for our 4 days. Lots of towels available.The kitchen was exactly the size needed to do breakfast and make sandwiches on the run. The basics are there for you to serve and cook, including some spices, salt and pepper. It came with some dish soap, washing machine soap and paper towels.Also there was a standard coffee pot and one for K-cups.Lots of dining area with a large table and chairs as well as a smaller one. Great place to play games, and they even had some on hand.Large couch and tv in the living room with plenty of space for us. Each bedroom had its own tv too.The garage had a washer and dryer that we found so helpful! Parking our rental van was tricky, because the van set low. We found coming it at an angle (and keeping it that way) on the drive way kept us from scraping. Plenty of parking in the drive way for a few cars. Backyard had a table and chairs under a covered area. Drove to Pensacola a few times which was 60-90 minutes away, based on traffic.

First time to Fort-Walton

This property was exactly what we were looking for and last minute they gave us an extra day for a much better price than a hotel would’ve been. Everything was cleaned up very nice, the location was a quiet neighborhood, and it was 5-10 minutes from the beach. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we’d definitely do it again.

Very nice house!

We loved the house, very nice and quiet neighborhood, loved Ferry Park that was a few blocks away, grocery stores and restaurants all nice and close. We went to Okaloosa Island almost every day, 10 minute quick drive unless you run into traffic. Definitely would like to recommend this house to any of you looking. Super easy check in and out, had no problems communicating with management! Wonderful house, beautiful location!!

Thank you for staying with us. This house is in a prime neighborhood of Fort Walton Beach. Convenient to both bases, beaches and Destin.

Nice and Quiet Suburban Home

We enjoyed our stay in this open concept home. Nice layout for families with the bedrooms and bathrooms located in the back of the house. Beds were comfy and property provides a fenced in back yard with most of the amenities needed for our stay. Close enough to travel to the beautiful beaches of Fort Walton and the restaurants and shops. Location is in a quiet neighborhood with a park right down the road. All correspondence with property manager went well as my questions were answered in a timely fashion.
