200Mbps fiber optic internet.

Did you know there are 2 volcanoes in the town of La Fortuna??? Most tourist only hear of the Arenal Volcano, but there is a second one right next to it.

My home is a 2 bedroom with great views of the Costa Rica Rain-forest, right at the edge of the jungle, and the majestic Arenal Volcano and the second less known Cerro Chato Volcano.

I'm excited to make my home yours while you are vacationing in the area. You are renting the whole cabin while you're here... I nor anyone else will be staying at the property during your stay. However, I can be reached if you need anything, but for the most part you're on your own.

The cabin is located at the base of the Arenal Volcano. It's only 9 minutes (2 minutes on a bumpy dirt road) from the center of town in La Fortuna, but private and secluded, yet 5 minutes (1.9km) from one of the larges stocked grocery stores in the area, and 3 minutes from the La Fortuna Waterfall.

You want birds, we GOT them - hummingbirds, toucans, Montezuma Oropendolas, Honey Creepers and many, MANY, many more.

You want a Volcano view, you could pretty much reach out and touch it.

The Howler monkeys can frequently be heard passing just 100 yards away. If you're lucky you'll get to see them climb from tree to tree as they lounge around eating and enjoying the day.

I am constantly landscaping so there are a LOT of plants, trees and flowers for you to enjoy. You'll LOVE eating out on the porch as the beauty that IS Costa Rica moves around you. I feed the hummingbirds and they'll be enjoying their breakfast as you enjoy yours- fun to watch - SO TERRITORIAL. And at night when the sky is dark and there's nothing to see but black. You can see the hundreds of fireflies roaming around in the distance.

An amazing, secluded location with beautiful views of the Arenal volcano and close to downtown La Fortuna. Host was very responsive and even took the time to show us how to get to the cabin and gave us a tour of the cabin so we knew how everything worked. Highly recommend staying here for anyone traveling to this area!

What a gem of a property. The ambiance of this place was top notch and a perfect getaway, just a few minutes outside of town. The porch was my sanctuary, overlooking Volcán Arenal with tons of plants and bird watching. The host, D’Angelo was super accommodating and welcomed me the day of check in, showing me around the place, and the best way to get there. Has everything you need in the kitchen, puzzles, games, books and yoga mats. I look forward to visiting again!

Beautiful home and surroundings. I recommend trying to arrive while it is light. We arrived in the dark on a rainy night. We lost service and it was difficult to meet property manager. Once we figured it out, all was good! The home is comfortable, well stocked and provides an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano

Great location, great accommodations

Loved the view of Volcano Arenal. Loved the quiet location, but close to town. Loved seeing the birds (20 species!) and hearing the howlers. Perfect!

Nice Rustic Cabin on a Beautiful Property

We enjoyed our stay here in La Fortuna. The cabin was cozy, well-appointed, and clean. The grounds had many exotic and beautiful trees, flowers, and colorful birds. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Cute Home at the base of the Volcano

Nice home with an excellent view of the volcano. Only a couple minutes to town, but the feel of seclusion. Met the owner while checking in and he shared any and all information you may need about the home.

Wonderful Stay

The house is small but has everything we needed. We spent most of our time on the lovely deck watching the birds and clouds around the volcano and listening to the sounds of the jungle. D’Angelo was sweet and super responsive. We saw a sloth in our backyard! We only left this morning and we miss it already! Close to town but far enough away to feel in the country!

Beautiful spot

Our Favorite Rental in Costa Rica!

The house was clean, charming, and in a beautiful location. The bed was sooooo comfortable and the views outside calmed our souls. Our favorite part was sitting on the outside partial wraparound porch where we could see Arenal and TONS of birds. We saw toucans, parakeets, tanagers, trogons, and many more. D'Angelo was super helpful with giving us travel tips and was very responsive. I highly recommend this rental and would come back here again! Thank you for the memorable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay! It’s such a hidden gem. We saw howler monkeys from the balcony!! We have stayed in several places in Costa Rica and this place has the most comfortable beds!!! The host was incredible would definitely come stay again.

Though the place is well located, the view of Arenal Volcano is awesome when the weather works, and the host, D’Angelo was very responsive and helpful, we did find that the kitchen items (such as pots and utensils) had not been cleaned for some time and the beds have a foam topper that made the bed way too soft (we just removed it for our stay and put it back on before we left). However, D’Angelo was very apologetic and worked with us on everything, so I would still recommend the place, especially in dry season to maximize your chances of enjoying the view.

Awesome Cabin!

Very cute, cozy, well appointed cabin located at the bottom of the Arenal Volcano. The host was amazingly helpful and friendly and knowledgeable! A great place to stay for a few days as you explore the area. Would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing you place with us!

My Favorite Place in Traveling for 1.5 years

A quaint cabin in nature. Is brighter, cleaner, and homier than the pictures show. I could live there for sure. D'Angelo was always helpful!!

Perfect Cabin

My wife and I stayed at this cabin during our trip to La Fortuna and had a blast. So much wildlife right outside and the view of the volcano is truly breathtaking. Very well located and we were able to easily access all of the things we planned to do and see in the area. We stayed in Tamarindo afterwards and all we wanted to do was go back to De’Angelo’s cabin! It is a TRUE Costa Rican experience. We loved our stay.

Jungle cabin

Nice house in a small neighborhood right in the middle of the jungle with easy access to la fortuna. Saw many birds, including toucans. We thought the neighbors had a sick donkey the first several days only to find out it was howler monkeys in the trees behind the property.

Exactly as advertised

The place is great and as advertised. It’s rustic, but comfortable and in a great location. It made it very easy to get everywhere. We really enjoyed sitting out on the wrap around deck, drinking our coffee in the morning or listening to the rain at night. It was very rainy when we were there, which made it even more important to have a 4x4 in general, but especially getting down the neighborhood road (again, as advertised). D’Angelo was excellent. In addition to just setting us up for a nice stay at his place, he gave us some really good recommendations of things to do that enhanced our trip.

Originally I'm from Tucson, Arizona. I spent 5 years in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Costa Rica. 19+ year later, and I'm still here. =) I've worked in the tourist industry the whole time and have seen so much of what this country has to offer. I LOVE Costa Rica and know you will too.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The cabin is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The wrap around porch provides great views of the surrounding jungle and is a nice place to enjoy a morning coffee and watch the many tropical birds in the area. We are located in the back of a typical Costa Rica neighborhood. There is very little traffic because of that.
