Amazing home overlooking Mutiny Bay
Spectacular location on mutiny Bay. Well-equipped and comfortable home. Worked well for our family of five. Awesome walkable beach .
perfect family retreat!
We love this beach home! It was warm, cozy, fully equipped, and perfect for a family retreat. The views were fantastic, in every kind of weather. It has great beach access with lots of play area and beach walking. The grandsons had a dream come true with building forts right in front of the house. We look forward to returning for another visit!
A Wonderful place for a family getaway
We spent Thanksgiving with our family at this wonderful house on Mutiny Bay. The house was spotless, the kitchen well-appointed, and the view couldn't be beat. The host was on top of everything and very responsive. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!
A Wonderful Beach House
We recently stayed at this great beach house with our 3 kids. The beach is beautiful and the house is very comfortable. We have stayed at multiple beach houses on Whidbey Island over the last 10 years from Clinton to Coupeville. This is now our favorite!
Everything we had hoped for (and some)
This was to be our first ever weekend away with our two grown daughters and their husbands; practice for a longer vacation to Hawaii later in the year! We wanted to be by the beach to enjoy the ocean (in our kayaks) and to relax together. The booking went smoothly and effortlessly. Paige was responsive and always positive. After a bit of a prolonged drive to the Mukilteo ferry (road works and collisions galore) we kicked back and enjoyed the change of pace as we hit the water for the crossing. Once we reached the house the stress of the drive fell away. The setting is incredible, located about the middle of Mutiny Bay and with unimpeded view of the water for a full 180 degrees from the large deck. The unexpected bonus for us was the "feel" of the house. It truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully clean and had every amenity we could want. More than that it instantly felt comforting and welcoming. This makes sense when we learned it has been in Paige's family for 60 years.
We had three days and nights that were peaceful, relaxing, and interesting. Ships cruise by at all times of the day and night, neighbors walk the beach and call out a greeting, and time slows down. We read, played on the water, walked the beach (in both directions) and strayed into town (Freeland) only once to explore the antique shops, where we found friendly and helpful shopkeepers. We left with a few treasures and returned to the house to roast hotdogs and marshmallows over our fire on the beach.
We were more than a little sad to leave on Sunday. The very comfortable beds left us well rested and the space (inside and outside) gave the six of us plenty of room to mix when we wanted to and privacy when needed. We are already thinking about our next visit to Mutiny Bay. Thanks Paige for sharing your warm, comfortable home.
