Modern Puget Sound Island waterfront home for your entire family to enjoy.

Property is close to the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend which hosts many fine restaurants, art galleries, as well as festivals including the world-famous wooden boat festival in late summer.

Within walking distance to the beautiful mystery bay & state park (with boat ramp access); while both Fort Worden historic state park and Fort Flagler State Park are short drives away. Local supermarket QFC is closed by.
The space
Living room is bright with wide open view to the waterfront. It has an open floor plan, equipped with radiant heat controlled by a smart thermostat and a gas stove.

Large master bedroom with master bathroom and closet. 2nd bedroom has bunk bed for two kids. Sofa bed available in living room for additional sleeping space

This is a really unique and lovely beach cottage. It's very spacious and comfortable. Our family enjoyed the view, the peaceful evenings over the holiday, and Marrowstone Island itself. The host, Melody, was so flexible and welcoming and there were thoughtful touches in the home left to greet us, such as chocolates and a bowl of fresh fruit. We would highly recommend and would love to return!

What a great place. Clean, well stocked. Close to coffee and places to visit. We were greeted by a bald eagle leaving a tree in the back yard. Loved that its dog freindly and Melody was very quick to reply when we had a question. Comfortable and clean. I could go on, but what the heck, if youre on the fence, do it. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us for the weekend.

Had a man down on his knees in the backyard with picture glass, spreading bark dust. When we got up in the morning kind of like a peeping, Tom. Contacted the property owners. This is their gardener, and they failed to notify him. That people would be staying, but the car in the driveway should have beenEnough of a sign and it did have a closed gate to that yard, which he wandered on through, was not very happy

This home is situated in a beautiful location that is very quiet and peaceful with outstanding views. The home has an excellent layout with an open kitchen/dining/living room that feel spacious and well-appointed. We believe the bed in the primary bedroom is a California King and it was very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay, thank you for offering your home for others to enjoy.

Had a great time and this lovely home with a really great view. Home is well stocked and we appreciated the high end appliances and well curated space. Bed was comfortable and spaces were clean.

Fantastic place! Beautiful, cozy, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds, a beautiful view, and a kitchen full of supplies. It was especially awesome to get to bring our dog, who loved the fenced yard and laying in the sun on the porch. Awesome stay.

Great place even better people!

So clean, so welcoming. All the pots, pans, etc. I would get a better coffee maker, though...maybe even a french press. It was a fantastic place for all of us. The ferry ride over to the island was a joy! And, the animal life even the 2 puppies next door seemed to be welcoming us!
We hadn't been together for 25 years!!! We all live so far apart.

What a gem! We stayed 4 nights. The view is spectacular and the neighborhood is wonderfully peaceful. This is a perfect place to recharge your batteries! Port Townsend is an easy 30 minute drive away. The house itself has everything you could need, including an amazing outdoor shower and a fully outfitted kitchen. The pullout couch is very comfortable. If you’re trying to decide between a hotel in Port Townsend and an air b&b on a nearby island, we suggest you book this property. The host is wonderful and highly responsive.

Upscale home with an amazing view!!

This home is surrounded by nature and beauty and is truly a special, peaceful place to enjoy a lovely part of the Olympic Peninsula. The home was built with every attention to detail and has gorgeous wood and stone surfaces. There are two large bathrooms and two bedrooms. The kitchen has Viking and other upscale appliances. Best of all there is every kitchen tool, condiment, and seasoning you could need!There are two large comfortable sofas in the living area, one looking out at the lake, and one facing a large screen TV. There is a cozy reading corner with a nice selection of books. There are interesting animals to watch and lots of birdsong. I enjoyed piano music wafting from the property owners home. Melody could not have been more welcoming and gracious!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

WONDERFUL view, gorgeous home

We have stayed at many VRBOs around the puget sound, and this is one of the best we have ever stayed at! It was so peaceful and the view was amazing. The home is beautiful and cozy, with expansive views of the little saltwater inlet (the house sits on a bluff above the water). Also, there is a lovely fenced yard for dogs to explore. Marrowstone Island is a gorgeous spot, and much less touristy than other islands in the puget sound. Fort Flagler has great trails, and there are grocery stores and restaurants just 10 minutes away in Chimicum. we love the Chimicum cafe:) Port Townsend is only 30 minutes away. Melody was very easy to get ahold of (we added an extra night at the last minute). We definitely will return to this wonderful property!

Nice quiet get- away

Beautiful wood decor. Modern day, but artsy place. Loved coffee out in the chairs looking over the bay. Visited 2 parks less than 5 min srive away beach beauty. Actual beachfront, quite rocky, but natural and gorgeous eagles, cranes, wildlife was abundant.

Fantastic Place to Stay

I can't say enough good things about our stay at this Marrowstone Waterfront Cottage: spotlessly clean, great host who was very responsive, easy check-in. The view is incredible, from the deck and from the interior. Tastefully decorated, a full-sized kitchen, and an open floor plan add to the comforts. It's a short drive to Port Townsend. Closer to home is the Nordland General Store on Marrowstone Island itself, well worth a visit, as is Fort Flagler. This is a magical place, and we are very eager to return!

Quick visit

A nice location for a visit that was far too short. We were concerned about the distance away from amenities, particularly on a spring weekday night, but were in pressed by the offerings from local QVC. Next time we will stay for more than one night!

New Core Memory

The property was a perfect setting for our long weekend family getaway to celebrate high school and college graduations and a silver wedding anniversary. There’s a fantastic view of the water from the kitchen, dining area, and living room. And from the primary bedroom as well. It’s a very serene, restorative place. Had everything we needed to make simple breakfasts and slightly elaborate dinners. We chose to have our lunches in Port Townsend, which is only a 25-minute drive. There are amenities (including a large grocery) several minutes to the South and a nice co-op general store even nearer to the North. A short drive beyond the latter are state parks, camping grounds, beaches, and hiking trails. The weather was grey, cold, and wet for most of the weekend, which actually enhanced our enjoyment of the house more; we played cards and board games, watched a couple movies, and lounged in the comfortable living areas, cushioned window bench, and covered deck. Our dog enjoyed the outdoor spaces under trees and got her exercise running the large figure-8 car path flanked by lush greenery. The hosts were great to work with, very accommodating and responsive. All in all, it’s a very memorable place we will recommend to family and friends.

Nice quiet getaway for New Years

We stayed at the Marrowstone cottage over New Years for a couple nights and it was the perfect little spot for us. The house is very clean and the furnishings are very welcoming. A plus for us what that we could bring our dog with us. Thank you Melody.
