About this property
Heart of Healdsburg Cottage for 4, Pool, Spa, Fire Pit, WIFI, BBQ
The Heart of Healdsburg Cottage is a one acre property with an in ground pool, hot tub, hobby vineyard, and walking distance to wineries and the downtown plaza square. Because it is close in, the road is busy (access to the Russian River communities via Westside Road), however the back yard space creates a nice buffer from the traffic. The outdoor seating area offers lounges at poolside and a beautiful picnic table under the fairy lights strung above in the walnut tree. A large deck and hot tub sits outside the French doors entering the kitchen and a beautiful glass fire pit just beyond the deck.
This lovely little cottage is really a unique and hard to find category for a few guests or 2 couples. Two bedrooms each have a queen bed with comforters, and robes are provided for each guest. A fireplace insert creates ambiance in the evenings, and a large modern kitchen stands ready for even the most discerning of chefs.
Westside Road is a popular bicycle route with a loop through the Dry Creek Valley, where in season you may stop at one of several farms available to visit and dozens of wineries waiting to host you for a tasting. Walk to downtown, less than one mile from the house, for shopping, gourmet treats and world class restaurants, tasting rooms and breweries. True West Film Center offers first run films and studies in the classics, and the galleries in town present many artists and their interpretations of our beautiful wine country.
This beautiful cottage is ready for you to create new memories!

Everything about this property was great, except the road noise. I loved the location, space, little vineyard out back. Easy walking to downtown. But the busy road was very loud all day and night, especially when asked to turn off air and open windows at night. Maybe it was harvest related.
Updated farmhouse just minutes from vineyards and central Healdsburg
This is a charmingly and thoughtfully decorated, comfortable, and spacious two-bedroom farmhouse on a rather busy country road. We enjoyed trips to vineyards (some are walkable), redwoods, and Healdsburg's wonderful restaurants as well as relaxing on the front porch (four rocking chairs!), on the back porch sitting area and hot tub, and at the picnic table under the impressive old walnut tree. Great views, well-equipped kitchen, good plumbing, lovely property. As noted in the listing and by others, there is quite a bit of traffic, but it didn't bother us after the first night (when there was also a strong wind that kept the gate clanking during the night). We're looking forward to a return trip to pick blackberries.

Nice, but....
This is a cute cottage and it is very close to the plaza but, they have not updated the website to show that it really does not sleep 6 people. It is best for two couples max. We needed to sleep 5 people on three different beds but had to sleep one on a couch that was not ideal. To be fair, the company did supply us with a blow up mattress but were not quick to respond to our need. Also, the cottage is on a busy street that gets a bit noisy in the morning.

Thank you Vince,
Obviously we work hard to make sure the listing is accurately presented and we're very sorry about the mix-up. If you're in the area again with 2 couples, we'd love to make it up to you by offering a free night, in the off season. We were sure we removed 6 guests from all the old postings and apologize we missed this one.

Cute place, very convenient to town
Our stay was good, the cottage was cute and well stocked. The view off the back deck and front porch was very cool with the vineyard. The walk to town was super easy. The house was clean.
What previous reviews have said about the traffic being loud is certainly true. There is only one window AC unit and it’s in the family room. Our stay was during high 90s/100 degree weather, so we were diligent about keeping shades, Windows, etc closed from about 10 am to 8 pm, then opening all the windows and using fans otherwise. The house was very hot during afternoon and early evening hours but because it gets so cool in the evenings, cools right off overnight. However to my previous point, having to keep the windows open doesn’t help with the road noise.

Thanks Dusty!
Definitely not a place for quiet. We've tried to make that clear in the description. Pretty much any place walking distance to town is on a busy road. We appreciate you taking time out to submit a review. - WCC&E
We really had the best time! The location is great - but definitely pack your sound machine. As indicated in the listing, the traffic is a bit noisy. Cottage didn’t have any wine glasses so we left some for the next guest! The door to the bathroom was a little touch and go as well - could probably use repair. Beds we’re comfy and the cottage had everything else we needed!

Lovely place
The place was very clean! The hot tub was amazing! The accommodations were very good except for the fact that we couldn’t open most of the windows and the table on the back porch had peeling paint and was pretty dirty. There was some traffic noise in the front bedroom.
We enjoyed our stay at the Wine Country Cottage. It was clean and nicely remodeled. Very close to town on a country road, so yes, there was traffic noise early in the morning and late in the evenings. Didn't bother us as heavy sleepers and the proximity to downtown made up for it. The property manager was responsive to our emails and questions before the trip. The instructions both emailed and posted at the house could be a bit clearer - ie. instructions said the lock box was mounted to the left of the front door, but it wasn't. We arrived on a rainy night in the dark and it took some time to find the lockbox attached to the meter, on the side of the house. The day after we arrived, we had no internet. My husband rebooted the router, and when that didn't work, he called and left a message. It was never returned during our 3 nights stay. However, we found out that it was a nationwide Comcast outage, not just the internet at the house, so that was really no fault of the manager. Overall, we had a nice stay.
I really want to give this property a 4.5 but that isn’t an option. Overall, The property is outstanding. The house is adorable and decorated well and the backyard is unbelievable. It’s like having your own little vineyard to walk around in. The fire pit is beautiful and the hot tub amazing. My only complaint about the property is that the street traffic is a bit noisy and woke us up every morning. If that isn’t an issue for you then you are going to absolutely love this place. We would return for sure.

Wine cottage
We cut our trip short. One of the major reasons we booked the house was the hot tub (our kids love them) shown in the listing and it turns out that it was broken. Otherwise house is as described in here. Very close to downtown, a large property, a little noise from the street but not bad.
Gorgeous property, wonderful accommodations and very responsive host. Had a terrific time grilling on the deck, relaxing in the hot tub, reading on the porch, exploring the garden and looking out onto the vineyard. Close proximity to all the amazing opportunities in Healdsburg and the Russian River. Will definitely be back. Special thanks to Pam for being a wonderful host.
We had the most amazing time in this charming cottage in Healdsburg this last weekend. I have to say they were having a heat wave and I found the cottage very comfortable, in fact even cold with the fans and air unit most days. The charming back yard had an adorable red barn, hot tub, patio seating, and a walkable vineyard. I read reviews but this cottage surpassed all expectations. It is located in the perfect spot just a 5 minute walk from town. Fresh air, space, grapes, great place to bike or walk, this cottage has it all. Very clean and cozy we hope to visit again very soon, at least once a year. Highly recommend!
Restful, beautiful setting and the location is off the beaten path yet moments away from downtown. Vineyards, roses, coffee on the front porch tranquil. Friends visiting at the same time noted location for return visits. I'd like an entire month here.

Great location, but that’s about it...
Other reviews mentioned the noise, I assumed they were talking about the road. Our problem was inside the house. The heater makes so much noise it literally kept us up all night. When I asked about it, I was told it’s old. This home is quaint but sparse. The amenities are lacking or none existent. This would be a great find as an economy stay. But not so much for the prices they’re asking.
There were lots of little things that needed improvement, i.e. the pillows felt 20 years old, we had to buy our own shampoo (they provided enough for one person, but there were 4 of us, The products were definitely of budget motel quality), the place is not really set up for any real cooking.
In the plus column, the hot tub is great and the management staff is very nice. The place is clean. The furniture is comfortable.

Great, clean, little house, but a bit noisy
Our stay at the cottage was great, and the place was generally as advertised, with a couple of exceptions. While the place was immaculate, comfortable, and fit our needs, the shower/tub did not drain and needs attention and the home’s close proximity to Hwy 101 and the adjacent, busy frontage roads made for a bit of a noisy time. Would we stay here again? Probably, but would go into it knowing that sleeping with windows open would probably hinder a night’s sleep for a light sleeper. The management company was great to work with, communicative, and overall very accommodating for our group.

Perfect getaway in Healdsburg
We stayed at Pam's cottage for a long weekend to celebrate our mom's 60th birthday, and we had the best time! The cottage was incredibly charming, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor seating and the hot tub. Check-in was very easy, the house was clean, the location couldn't have been more convenient, and there was plenty of room for the four of us. Our mom asked us to take pictures of the cottage before we left because she loved it so much!
