The house is immaculate! Windows everywhere with louvres that allow the fresh sea-breeze to blow through the house. Pool area is enclosed and great for the kids to play in. Great location near Poipu and parking is easy since the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac.

This clean, peaceful, comfortable and wonderfully located property provided the most perfect vacation for our family. I want to return to this same property year after year and also hopefully will be able to rent nearby properties so that we can increase the size of our group to extended family members. Could not have been happier and will want to work with the Parrish group again next year to secure this same property and maybe an additional property or two! Some others have written in reviews about the primary bedroom having only and outside shower (without hot water) but we loved the outside shower and discovered the enclosed pool area also having an outside shower that DID have hot water. This property was outstanding in every way and no one should be deterred.

This house was very comfortable and clean. It was very easy to find and is located in a quiet neighborhood. The beach was very close and so is shopping and dining. The hot water is an issue though. We like hot showers and the water only guests hot in 1 bathroom. It only gets luke warm in the other 2 showers after you run the water in the kitchen for at least 10 minutes. It's a hassle, but I understand how on demand hot water works. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars.

First off, this property's location is perfect. It is dated and needs some upkeep, but the location makes up for this.Within 24 hours of arrival, we contacted the property management team and told them that the pool pump was not operating. They responded that they would contact the pool company ASAP. The pool company responded 4 days later and stated that everything was working properly. Odd though is that there was still no discharge coming from the pool pump discharge piping ports in the pool. I called them back and they assured me that this was how it is supposed to be because the pool company said that everything is OK and that this company has been doing this kind of work for a very long time, and they know what they are talking about. I disagree because without any effluent from the pool pump then something is not right. Not my job to troubleshoot, but as a renter I reported. I do not believe that the property management team did their due diligence in the pool issue investigation, which would make me NOT rent a property that was managed by them in the future.So, renter beware.....But the location was amazing!!

We are pleased that the guest enjoyed the home’s exceptional location, but we respectfully disagree that our team failed to properly investigate the reported pool concern. After the guest contacted us, we immediately notified the professional pool-service company that regularly maintains the home. The pool was subsequently inspected and serviced, including testing the water chemistry, checking water levels, and examining the equipment for irregularities. The technician confirmed that the pool and its equipment were functioning properly. We understand that the guest remained concerned because they did not observe water discharging from the pool ports. However, after the equipment was inspected by the qualified vendor responsible for maintaining the system and no malfunction was identified, our team had no factual basis to contradict that professional assessment. The concern was reported, referred to the appropriate specialist, physically inspected, tested, and documented. While the guest may disagree with the vendor’s conclusion, it is not accurate to suggest that our team failed to perform its due diligence.

Great Location

The location of this home can't be beat. The beach is close enough to walk and you get a small ocean view. The home itself is beautiful. Our only complaints was that the pool is not heated and was virtually unusable while we were there because the weather was not great or warm enough to justify swimming in a cold pool. Also, there is very little hot water in the house itself, making showers and washing in the sinks very unpleasant. Could also use a little maintenance/upgrades on small things like pans etc. Overall good.

We understand that it can be disappointing not to use the pool when the weather is colder and rainy, mostly in the winter months. Unfortunately, most private pools are not heated, but we will pass on the suggestion about heating the pool to the owner for future upgrades. For next time, let us know and we can point you in the direction of the few heated pools. We apologize, had we known that you were experiencing problems with the hot water in the home, we would have come over to investigate and resolve the issue. Lovely house near beaches

Hale Malukia is a beautiful house which overlooks a greensward with paths to beaches and a distant view of the ocean. The house is very sunny and pleasant. The kitchen is well-stocked with pans, dishes and appliances. The bedrooms are comfy but note that the beds in the 3rd bedroom are short with boards across the bottom, which was a bit difficult for my 6'5" son. The trundle bed in the second bedroom is also short. The enclosed pool was very nice (icy cold at New Years!) and the most private spot in the house since it was not visible from the nearby trail. We had some minor problems, like sometimes there was no hot water for showers and we couldn't heat the spa, and the garden fountain didn't work, but overall the house is so beautiful we didn't care. It would have been nice if the master bathroom sinks drained. There are boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs and coolers in the garage. The 10 a.m. Checkout came very early, and we were denied an extension due to the next guests arriving.

Mahalo Susan for your review. We agree, this is a beautiful home. We checked the hot water heater and spa do not see any issues, nor have the last few guests reported any problems. However, we will keep an eye on things. The fountain does have a leak and we are waiting parts for a repair, but that should be soon. We are sorry we could not offer a late out.
