The villa met and exceeded our expectations. All the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with absolutely beautiful views from all of the 4 bedrooms balconies. The family spaces were very well appointed with everything needed in the kitchen The pool area was probably the best with a fantastic balance of shady areas and sunny areas with plenty of seating and sun loungers. The hosts went above and beyond with advice and help and were always available and answered any question swiftly. We would definitely recommend this villa for a family holiday. All in all we had a fantastic holiday at Villa Elsa and in Kalkan ( which is lovely for families) and would definitely recommend to anyone

Overall we had a wonderful time at Villa Elsa and generally in Kalkan as a location. The Villa is a more period property with a homely feel and decor. The outside garden areas, pool and balconies with fantastic views over the sea are stand out features and give the Villa its unique appeal. Villa is split over 4 floors with fridges on upper levels, to reduce vertical travel. Balconies for each floor meant a sense of space and privacy for all with clean, bright airy rooms. Location is in a quieter area to main Kalkan, which we appreciated- but close enough to old town for the nightlife and restaurants. Supermarkets, beach clubs, restaurants etc close by, up a v steep hill. Taxis are cheap and plentiful if the walk up hill too aerobic. Owner was incredibly helpful from start to finish and very responsive on the few minor issues. He organised transfers and recommended reliable company for trips.

Great Villa in Kalkan!

Villa Elsa was perfect for our family of 5 (including 3 teens) while we vacationed in Kalkan. Neil gave us great recommendations for things to do. He was extremely responsive. We didn’t spend a ton of time at the Villa but it was conveniently located and had everything we needed during our stay. I would highly recommend Villa Elsa!

Fabulous villa

Villa was superb and exceeded our expectations. Perfect for our family of six - loads of space to chill out. Pool was perfect and very well maintained - as was the rest of the villa. Neil was a perfect host - nothing was too much trouble. Perfect holiday.

Gorgeous villa

We had a fabulous stay! This beautiful villa is close to the sea, and a short cab ride into Kalkan old town. We found the villa to be well equipped and was very spacious for our party of 8. The little balconies off the bedrooms gave us room to escape from each other if we wanted to! We loved the pink flowers surrounding the villa and the cats that visited us during our stay. The owners provided us with lots of information and kept in touch during our stay. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful home in a peaceful spot

Villa Elsa is a beautiful home in quieter Kalamar. It has everything you need and more - the pool is wonderful, the hot tub a treat (especially with those views) and the house itself feels like a real home. Communication and help from the owner Neil was amazing; he went the extra mile to arrange things to meet our needs on arrival, kept in touch throughout our stay and responded promptly to questions we had before and during our holiday. The location is quieter than busy Kalkan but only £3 by taxi and worth it for the relative peace and quiet. The nearby Kalamar beach club was a lot quieter than the clubs in Kalkan and everyone we met was very friendly. Neil and Anita have obviously been in the area for some time; we met several people who know them and who spoke very highly of them. If you are thinking of booking this villa - go for it, you won't be disappointed. Especially if you like cats.

A wonderful place to stay

Just back from our first visit to Kalkan and Villa Elsa far exceeded our already high expectations. The villa is spacious, well laid out, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The plants around the pool area are fully established providing a lovely colourful screening. Everything you could ever need at the villa has been thought about and provided. The roof terrace is such a bonus and a lovely spot to watch the sunset at the end of the day with stunning views over the bay. Neil and Anita were extremely helpful before the holiday started and were in touch during to check we had everything we needed. They couldn't have been any more helpful and I genuinely felt they wanted us to have the best holiday........which we did! So many good restaurants in Kalkan to choose from in the evening - we did not have one bad meal and Cafe Vita close to Villa Elsa provided a great place for breakfast. We have only praise for Villa Elsa and Kalkan and hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

Amazing stay 100% recommend

We stayed at villa Elsa in kalamar in Aug 23. The Villa is exceptional and accommodated 7 of us. The pictures do not do it justice, each bedroom is a double with en-suite and balcony, larger master bedroom and larger room on the top floor with the balcony and hot tub (the views are incredible) The outside area in stunning with a lovely pool and garden, the flowers are stunning with penalty of seating and shaded areas also a ladder leading to a swing chair in a shaded area. Neil the owner was a great from the start and throughout ensuring we had everything we needed and helped out with any questions. The villa has a useful water cooler, you just what’s app the local market and they deliver with 10 mins. Neil also arranged airport transfers through define tours this process was perfect, we also used define tours for a boat trip which ticked all the boxes. Kalamar is quieter than kalkan which is just 5 mins taxi away costing just over £3, taxis are easy you just what’s app then and send them your location and they turn up in 5-10 mins. We used two beach clubs in kalamar just a short walk from the villa. Lures is a newer one has amazing infinity pool which is not salt water and buzzers on the umbrellas to get drinks and food, they also take the entrance fee off you total bill so can work out cheaper. Kalamar beach club was better for kids, sea trampoline and places to jump on the sea, both have a shared water sports.

Lovely Villa, Lovely Town

This was our first time in Turkey and Kalkan, it had been recommended by a friend so we thought we would give it a go. Neil was quick with his response to our enquiry about Villa Elsa and from the time we confirmed the booking he was on the ball, giving us information about the area and offering assistance. Let Neil take care of the car for you with Ozgur from Define Tours, the best car hire service I've ever had! As we arrived at Dalaman late, the car hire delivery driver took us to the villa so we didn't get lost in the dark. The villa was spotless and well equipped with plenty of space for the four of us, six would be no problem. Kalkan is a clean, safe and attractive town with plenty of facilities. We were diving and took our dive trips out of Kas, a scenic 20 minute drive away. We would recommend Natura Blue in Kas, we tried the local Kalamar Dive boat but we're very disappointed in comparison. Maybe it was because were the last of the season but they didn't seem interested and just went through the motions. The pool was a lovely size, if a little fresh (but is was October) and plenty of nice furniture around the pool. Beautiful views of The bay from all levels, especially the upper terrace. We have stayed in plenty of villas and apartments and this is among the best of the lot, none better at the price. I must admit to finding the hills a bit challenging, but taxis to and from the town are cheap enough if you can't handle the walk. One of our best Holidays so far and I thoroughly recommend tVilla Elsa

WOW!!! Simply stunning

Villa Elsa definitely has the WOW Factor. We have had the best holiday ever staying in this stunning villa. Five star luxury. Right from our booking to us arriving back home the owners, Neil and Anita, have made sure that everything has been perfect for us. Full and concise information was given prior to our departure about everything we needed to know from airport transfers to all the ins and outs of the villa. During our stay we were able to contact Neil with any queries or suggestions for eating out etc. The villa itself is immaculate, a real home from home. Set in stunning surroundings with the most amazing views of sea and mountains from every bedroom. Each of the 4 bedrooms was very large with an en-suite making each room feel like it’s own private space, perfect if travelling with teenagers!! My daughters particularly enjoyed sharing the top floor bedroom with the fully furnished terrace and hot tub/jacuzzi in which you can sit and look out at the beautiful sea views. The attention to detail within the villa was amazing. In every room and on every terrace, even the pool area there were many decorative items which made us feel we were at home rather than in a blank canvas of a villa rental. The pool is a good size and very comfortable sun beds. Plenty of different areas outside to sit in, whether you want sun or shade. A 5 minute walk takes you to the beach club where you can swim and snorkel, relax on the sun beds or enjoy the restaurant. Kalkan harbour and town is only 5 minutes by car or taxi. The taxis are so cheap and readily available. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area. The locals are very friendly, great markets, fantastic food and lots of interesting shops. We have had an amazing holiday in the stunning Villa Elsa.

Villa Elsa

A great find. Villa Elsa is a fantastic property that met all our expectations and more. From the pool area and lush bougainvillea filled garden to the upstairs terrace areas with fabulous views across Kalamar bay everything was perfect. For a group of 7 we had plenty of space to spread ourselves out across the four spacious bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms. Kalamar bay was a great spot away from the hubbub of Kalkan town, but within very easy access including to the nearby beach clubs. Neil and Anita were also perfect hosts ensuring we had all the information we needed with lots of helpful tips about the area. We were also able to contact them very easily throughout our trip. Our check in was also very smooth with thanks to Cengiz the property manager who was there to meet us on our arrival. All in all a fantastic stay and we would definitely return to Villa Elsa in the future.

Exceptional Villa Elsa Kalkan

I have just returned from Villa Elsa after a short stay with the family. I have a 9 year old and 14 year old who both require the delights and convenience of being entertained and not getting bored !!!! Villa Elsa has it all, it is an absolutely immaculate villa nestled a stones throw away from the sea. It has every convenience required including an ideal sized pool and space within the villa, it is really a home from home private and beautiful. It is a credit to the owners, Neil was very very helpful in all the information provided to make our stay wonderful. I can’t thank him enough for accommodating me and my family at short notice. The views from the top of of the villa were to die for and so if you want privacy with all the amenities of being at home and convenience my advice is Villa Elsa. Thanks Neil.

Perfect villa in peaceful setting

Suffice to say that we had a perfect week in Villa Elsa. The villa is beautiful, the pool area is surrounded by flowers and bougainvillea which offer shade and privacy when you need it, the area is quiet and peaceful. But best of all is the amazing level of support, knowledge and information from the owners, Neil and Anita - the love and care that they have for the villa, and their genuine desire for their guests to have the best experience possible, really shines through. On our last night, Neil not only recommended a great restaurant to us but also paid for our first round of drinks via WhatsApp! (Hope that’s not a hostage to fortune Neil....). Thanks again Neil and Anita!

Lovely, lovely Villa Elsa

We were 3 ladies enjoying the wonderful Villa Elsa for the first time. So much thought into everything about this lovely villa with loads of outdoor furniture to cater for sitting in the sunshine, in the shade, and the after dinner drinks under the pretty lights. The sea views were amazing across Kalamar Bay, so serene and magical. For one of our party it was the first time to Kalkan and first to experience a villa stay. She is totally hooked on both. The villa owner Neil kept intouch with us throughout our stay to ensure we were ok, which was very much appreciated and meant that we were very quickly up to speed with the villa facilities and location. We enjoyed The Brothers and Porcini restaurants along the Kalamar Road, both provided excellent service and quality. We also enjoyed visiting the pretty harbour area and doing a little holiday shopping.

We spent a fantastic 5 days at Villa Elsa in Kalkan. The villa was beautifully appointed.

Villa Elsa is beautifully appointed with all amenities (including hot tub!) which made our stay perfect. The pool area is very well designed with sunloungers and relaxing furniture, whilst the kids can have fun splashing around in the pool. Our hosts Neil & Anıta communicated with us through WhatsApp - and they could not be more helpful, accommodating and gracious hosts. Kalkan is a very relaxing and laid back town, and we hope to return to Villa Elsa for another holiday someday soon.

Lovely Villa, people, location!

We had a lovely stay at Villa Elsa and everything was as mentioned in other reviews. The owners take real pride and consideration into everything which makes for a lovely stress free and well managed break. Neil was very unobtrusive but helpful, dropping in an e-mail here and there to check all was okay and if we needed anything. Define Tours are great, very laid back and friendly, Ozgur was particularly helpful. We found the people very warm and friendly and it's just a great area and place for a Holiday. Can't fault Villa Elsa or the conscientious way it's all run. Thank you! We recommend going to Paprika restaurant and ask for Memish, who will arrange a lunch in the best Mountain Village trout farm. Great Holiday.

Wonderful villa

From time of booking Neil couldn't have been more helpful ,define tours he recommended were so good ,hire car for 6, Gullet private day trip was out of this world ,short Walk down from villa to the sea wonderful to swim we even had the turtles , villa was superb , get a taxi only £4 bit of a trek into town ,but we liked the peace where the villa is ,there's a good cafe around the corner called house cafe ,very good ,

Gorgeous villa with stunning views

We were looked after from the minute we made the booking. Neil, the owner could not have been more helpful, he arranged our transfers from the airport, he organised for someone to come and collect us to take us to the supermarket the morning after we arrived and he had left us a much needed bottle of wine, bread and other goodies which was much appreciated as we did not get to the villa until midnight. Some one came every day to tidy up around the pool and water the beautiful pots which were full of stunning flowers. The villa was cleaned immaculately half way through our week. The bedrooms were wonderful, two with balconies with views to the sea and one leading onto the fabulous roof terrace where we sat before going out for dinner having a drink. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough or the wonderful owners and would not hesitate to visit again.

Absolutely beautiful villa

We have just spent a week at villa Elsa having rented many different properties whilst visiting Kalkan. Villa Elsa is by far our favourite. Neil and Anita are really helpful with all the booking / car hire and anything you need to know . The villa is very comfortable each room with its own balcony and a very usable open plan living space that with lots of personal detail made it feel like home. The thing we liked especially were the shrubs and plants....beautiful and well maintained , the garden was a delight and the top terrace with all the pots made for a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view. Our best trip to Kalkan yet..and not our last.

Villa Elsa is a lovely,clean,spacious,comfortable and very well equipped property with a lovely pool and lots of areas to sit and enjoy the views out to sea and of the pretty flowers and plants around the villa ( my favourite was the roof terrace) Villa Elsa is in Kalamar bay which is lovely and quiet but not far from all the amenities you need. We are a family of four including a teenager and we all enjoyed our holiday, wifi and satellite TV was a big hit with the children on lazy days around the pool. Kalkan has great restaurants (to many to chose from) and lots of activities and excursions on offer. Everyone very friendly and helpful and our holiday was made stress free with all the help from the owners of the villa Neil and Anita, from helping us hire a car, directions to the villa,accommodating our flight times,nothing to much trouble. I would recommend Vila Elsa, you won't be dissappointed.

A Wonderful Holiday

We had a wonderful holiday here at Villa Elsa............the villa is exactly as described and more! Stunning views to wake up to each morning and glorious weather, forced us to "slow down" and completely relax. This was not only around the villa and the lovely pool, but also when walking to the local cafes, bars, restaurants and into Kalkan itself.....because the slopes from the villa and the surrounding area, are fairly steep! However, a reward for our efforts was always awaiting in the form of very good food and ice cold drinks! Villa Elsa has good facilities and is very well maintained by the owners with the flowers and plants adding to the overall ambience. Local contacts are around to help make your stay run as smoothly as possible. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. There is also a very friendly visitor to the villa....a ginger and white cat, who kept us company whilst sunbathing! We loved our stay here and there was something for us all. If you don't mind walking, then a car isn't essential and there are always taxis available. Definitely a villa to return to.

we have been visiting Kalkan and the surrounding areas since 1999. In 2005 we decided why wait any longer, and purchased the land on which Villa Elsa was built for us....we have never looked back. Kalamar Bay is charming, peaceful and an idyllic place to spend a relaxing break

Villa Elsa has a stunning rooftop Jacuzzi perfectly positioned to take in Kalamar Bay’s amazing views out to sea and also to the mountains on either side. The gardens to the front, side and rear are maintained to a very high standard. Villa Elsa is not your normal blank canvas, no character, bland concrete construction that are seen so often now……..myself and wife Anita pride ourselves on Villa Elsa being a real ‘ Home from Home ‘ as we eventually plan to live here in beautiful Kalkan, Kalamar Bay…..we really hope you enjoy your relaxing stay at ‘ Elsa ‘….
