Bay House is located 2 minutes walk from the sandy swimming and surfing beach in Trevone, which is one of only eight beaches in Cornwall to be awarded the Blue Flag Award & Seaside Award 2024 (awarded to beaches for being clean, safe, environmentally friendly and having great facilities). It is also only a 5-10 minute walk along coastal path to 'Rocky Beach' with its semi-natural swimming pool and rock pooling on the way. The house is ideal for a relaxing holiday as the village has a great beach shop and cafe, pub serving food and well-stocked farm shop. It is only 2 miles from the highly acclaimed restaurants in popular Padstow, with its picturesque harbour and working fishing port. There are plenty of activities nearby with stunning coastal walks on your door step or short drives to Trevose Championship golf course, cycling or horse riding on the Camel Trail and several excellent surfing beaches. The house has double and twin bedrooms, comfortably accommodating 4 adults with a pull out mattress in the living room to sleep an additional person if required. Modern, well-equipped kitchen, living/dining room, fibre broadband, off-road parking, storage and small courthard garden, ideal for Bbq. Now with EV charger. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Saturday change overs in peak season

Bay House was immaculate and clean upon our arrival. We had flowers , cake and milk in the fridge to welcome us. A nice touch.The house was perfect for our needs particularly the location being so close to the beach and village facilities. Communication with Alison was excellent , emails and texts were responded to very quickly. In summary, a great house for a family holiday and would highly recommend it.

Great Location

Die Wohnung liegt in einem kleinen, hübschen Surferort. Von dort kann man ideal Wanderungen an den beeindruckenden Küsten unternehmen und Ausflüge zu den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Mitte und Nordcornwall. Wir haben eine tolle Woche verbracht.

Wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen im Bay House. Das Haus war sauber und ausgestattet mit allem, was man für den Aufenthalt braucht. Zudem sind in der Garage Bodyboards und weitere Strandspielsachen. Die Nähe zum Strand ist unschlagbar, der Strand selbst ist großartig für Familien und Wassersportfreunde. Die Klippen laden zu Wanderungen entlang der Küste ein und bieten einen grandiosen Ausblick. Nicht zu vergessen der Surfshop und Bruno´s Bar, wo man sich abends, gelegentlich mit Live Musik, zu einem Sundowner mit Blick auf die Bucht schön hinsetzen kann. Trevone ist ein nettes, ruhiges Dorf fernab von dem geschäftigen Treiben der Touristen-Hotspots, Padstow ist aber dennoch in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Alles in allem können wir eine absolute Empfehlung aussprechen. Danke an Alison für ihre Gastfreundschaft. Thank you, Alison, for your great hospitality! We love to come back !!!

Great house, lovely location

Had a great week at Bay house. The beautiful beach, with lifeguards really is 2 minutes walk away. House was clean, beds very comfy, towels really fluffy and kitchen well equipped. Great location for exploring north Cornwall. We had a great week, will be recommending to friends and hope to return next year.

Lovely Stay

Very short walk to beach. Beach was truly beautiful and property was comfortable and clean. Building works being undertaken either side of the property at time of stay. Disruption was minimal and not a big deal. Wonderful stay and would return.

A fabulous stay at Bay House!

We had such a lovely time at Bay House, we found the house to be very comfortable with everything we wanted for a stay by the beach, well equipped kitchen and spotlessly clean on arrival, we felt at home as soon as arrived. Being so close to the beach was perfect. We were new to Trevone and it's our new favourite beach with beach shop and cafe serving lovely breakfasts and bar open in the evenings. Walking to Padstow along the coastal path was also a highlight as well as the choice of restaurants nearby. We have already booked to return.

Great house in a perfect location

We had stayed at Bay House back in 2015 and it was wonderful to stay again together with our 2 daughters. Communication with Alison was very easy, and the house is perfectly located close to the beach, with amazing coastline walks in both directions. We found it very comfortable for 4 adults, with options to eat in, relaxing in the evenings or venturing out to explore the local area. We had a perfect week, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

All good, just a few issues.

Nice property, nice location, let down by a few things. One of the settees is very uncomfortable, and the other one is excruciatingly uncomfortable. I had to bring one of the garden chairs in to sit on. The TV is too big, and difficult to operate, as there do not seem to be any instructions. The Fridge door is almost impossible to open, without damaging your fingers. It needs a handle fitted. The bedroom could do with a couple of chairs , to put your clothes on.

The perfect spot for a wonderful location

We had the best week staying at Bay House. It had everything we could have asked for, for us and our children. Clean, well equipped, very comfortable beds and the perfect location. The garage with all the buckets and spades, body boards and fishing nets was like a treasure chest for the children. It was just perfect. Thank you, Alison and Wendy for all your well explained emails and messages and for being so welcoming. We loved Trevone. It's a very special place.

Fantastic house in beautiful location

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of four (kids aged 7 and 4). Short 2 min walk to the beach, with everything we needed on our doorstep. The house was clean and tidy and extremely well-equipped. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Magnificent!

OK right into it, this house is excellent for 4 adults wanting to chill out and relax, brilliant for small young families who want to build memories and for those with teenagers as they experiment with cool water sports (open garage door and see what’s in their). Located in very quiet cul-de-sac you could’nt ask for a better location. Beach, two minutes away, Bar, two minutes away, South West Coast Path, two mins away. Rock pools 5 mins away. Taxi into Padstow £9. Padstow driving 10 mins away. Magnificent views from surrounding cliffs and beach. Kitchen will be modernised this autumn so no point me commenting, I cooked every morning and two nights, found it very easy to use. One small gripe, sharp knives please and mixer taps when coming to replace plumbing (personal preference). Beds very comfortable. House suited 4 adults comfortably. Towels large fluffy and soft. Nice crisp sheets and warm duvets. Settees relaxing. Loved the paintings on the wall. Huge TV and sound system but we didn’t switch it on once. Excellent Wi-Fi coverage (4 x mobile phones, and 4 x iPads). Had one problem with the toaster, sent text to Alison, next day Amazon? delivered new one. Sit outside in the morning with your tea/coffee and listen to the birds soo pleasurable. Rear garden is also a bit of a sun trap, late afternoon take your chairs out the front. Another good thing is mobile phone coverage is dreadful (across area not house) so you have to go hunting for a signal, no bad thing! Go up to the shop at the farmhouse get the scones, clotted cream and jam(s) to make your own cream tea Would we come back? Definitely, didn’t want to check out and have very fond memories of Bay House Thank you Alison for letting us use your home and Wendy for providing us with a spotless (and COVID safe) environment.

Good accommodation .

Good compact house. Very good communications with owner, very accommodating and helpful. My own personal preference would be for the area at the back to be lawned or decked , and a few bushes and greenery with a couple of lounging chairs on. Thanks Alison.

staying in wonderful Trevone

This is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Beautifully presented and equipped in an ideal location two minutes from the beach and coastal path. we have loved being there and will plan to stay again at some stage. Communication with the owner was brilliant; a really kind, supportive owner who couldn't have done more to make our stay this time, quite special. We give the holiday home 5 Stars+ and would recommend it to anyone! Just great!

Great coastal location

This was our second stay at Bay house we returned due its fantastic location so close to Trevone’s beautiful beaches and coastal path. The house it’s self is warm and cosy. The bathroom and kitchen are getting a little dated but is more than made up for being deceptive spacious for a two bedroom house, very well equipped, very clean and the added extra of the useful utility/drying at the back of garage which was well used as we had the wettest week we have every experience in Cornwall. But this didn’t stop us having a fantastic holiday . Thank you Alison and Wendy

Lovely place to stay

We had a lovely week at this house in Trevone. It was very clean and well equipped. Very close to the beach and the coastal path. The local information provided, eg where to eat etc, was very useful.

We bought Bay House in 2007 having had many fantastic holidays in the area. When my husband and I first met we had many happy times playing golf, windsurfing and surfing nearby. When our children were young we continued to come to this area for the variety of great beaches and places to visit. Now our boys and their friends still love coming to Trevone for the surfing and body boarding.
We chose Bay House as we wanted to be within a minute’s stroll of a great beach with a relaxed village atmosphere. We loved it as soon as we walked in & always spend as much time here as we can and make sure that it is always in first-class condition.
Many of our guests come back year after year and enjoy the house as much as we do. We hope you enjoy it too.
