Aou Forgeron is a traditional Gersoise farmhouse situated on the edge of a hamlet set in spectacular countryside. The area is characterised with rolling countryside, large deciduous forests to walk or cycle in, and wonderful views of the Pyrenees which are within easy driving distance. A key feature of the property is the two wrap around terraces giving excellent opportunities to enjoy outdoor living and alfresco easting whether seeking sun or shade. There is a soft seating area from which you can enjoy an aperitif as you watch the sun go down, in addition there are ample loungers, reclining chairs, umbrella and a charcoal barbeque.Masseube is 10 minutes by car and has an excellent supermarket providing all your grocery, fuel and wine needs, Mirande, a typical bastide town is 15 minutes drive; both have weekly markets. The regional capital Auch is 20 minutes by car, with its impressive, recently renovated cathedral, maze of small streets with smart shops and cafes and regular brocante and weekly markets.

Vaste maison Bien équipée et joliment décorée On s’y sent bien Très beau terrain qui la cerne. L’entrée en gravillons nous a permis de faire des parties de pétanque endiablées…( jeu de 8 boules à disposition) Les différentes zones de terrasse aménagées pour que chacun puisse trouver son compte

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle maison, bien équipée et pleine de charme. Endroit idéal pour découvrir la région. Les hôtes sont très sympas et disponibles si nécessaire. Nous recommandons sans réserve ce petit paradis qui nous manque déjà alors que nous sommes sur la route du retour.

Notre séjour ayant été écourté suite à un décès du coup nous n’avons pu profiter de la maison qu’une semaine sur les 3 ! Mais la maison est parfaite propre calme et assez grande pour bien profiter C’est un endroit où nous retournerons je pense Mzrci

Emplacement au calme avec un jardin magnifique sans vis à vis. Le gite est grand avec différentes ambiances Le coin repas à l'extérieur et à l'abri est très appréciable. Belle déco à l'intérieur Côté cuisine, il ne manque rien en ustensile et autre. Très belle découverte Merci pour les renseignements pendant la réservation et de l'accueil à l'arrivée. Vacances agréables

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette maison située au cœur de la campagne gersoise. Elle est très bien équipée, spacieuse et la description et les photos sont conformes à la réalité. Il faut être conscient que la villa est très isolée et que la voiture est absolument nécessaire pour faire ses achats quotidiens ou visiter les centres d’intérêts de la région, ce qui n’était pas un problème pour nous. L’environnement est très calme et la piscine très agréable. Nous conseillons cette maison aux familles qui cherchent des vacances confortables dans un environnement agréable et bucolique.

Wonderfully peaceful and relaxing

For those wanting to have a completely relaxing break this is a perfect location. So quiet and beautiful. Very well equipped kitchen & spacious living area, super terrace and a lovely garden to enjoy as well as the refreshing pool - much needed on a hot day! Plenty of super walks locally as well as very easy to walk straight from the house. Would recommend taking a torch as the bathroom and toilets are on the ground floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and love the area.

Dans la nature gersoise. Maison très bien équipée. Juste un peu difficile à trouver, ce qui en fait tout le charme une fois qu’on y est ! L’auvent abrite aussi bien les soirées chaudes que pluvieuses.

Very relaxing stay in a traditional French gite

We have just returned from a really lovely week here. The gite is very traditional and is located in an extremely quiet little hamlet - you barely see or hear anyone else (this is the case for pretty much everywhere in this whole area we found!) If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you. The house is well appointed and had pretty much everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There were just 3 of us staying (myself, my husband and our 8 year old). The gite is a nice size but I do feel if there were 8 people (which I believe it can sleep) it would be a little on the small side inside - the outside area is very large though and private. Although the owners left some notes about places to visit it would be nice if the house had a "visitors book" so that people staying could write about their visits to local places of interest and places to eat. We struggled a little to find places to visit with children and it was only when Dennis the housekeeper visited that we learned of some nice places to go with kids. It would have been good to be able to pass this info on to future guests who would also find it helpful. A really lovely week though and would highly recommend.

Le lieu idéal pour des vacances en toute quiétude. Commerces éloignés, la voiture est indispensable. Difficile à trouver avec le GPS, lorsque vous arrivez face à la statue de la Vierge Marie de Lagarde Hachan, prendre à droite.

Had a great 2 weeks. The property was everything we expected. My only slight criticism would be pack of fans. We was lucky enough to have unusually hot weather (100f) however it was just to hot at night which made for a poor nights sleep. Perhaps a fan for each room would be good

A great space for a good family holiday, very clean and well laid out. The swimming pool was particularly good, and the grounds and the remote location added tremendously to our fantastic holiday. We would certainly consider going again.

A beautiful country cottage.

The gite is a charming, rustic country cottage set in the rolling hills of southern France. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling around the house, the Pyrenees are clearly visible in the distance and there are several pretty villages and towns nearby to visit. The house is well equipped with a great kitchen and comfortable lounge. The garden and patio are lovely places to chill out and have a barbecue, and the frog chorus in the evenings is a delight! Altogether a very pleasant stay.
