After visiting the Beach House, Cornwall Today wrote: ‘when it comes to front line properties the Beach House is the epitome of seaside venues.
This property is in the VILLAGE of PORT ISAAC It features breathtaking sea views, a chic interior, and a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Outside there's a Chablis balcony, sun terrace, courtyard, large garden, and PARKING FOR 7 CARS The 40ft conservatory looks out to sea, and there's also a games room, sauna, and free wi-fi. In terms of activities, there are two golf courses nearby, as well as a surf school and a cycle track from Wadebridge to Padstow. The South West coastal footpath is just 200m away. The house itself is located in Port Isaac, a beautiful fishing village that some may recognise as Port Wenn, as featured on the hit TV series Doc Martin. Star of the show Martin Clunes and the rest of the cast can often be seen around the village, and are kind enough to be photographed with holidaymakers in between shots.Sleeps 14

Fabulous Visit to Port Isaac

Attractive beach house at the center of PI with great scenic views across Port Gaverne. Very well maintained. Everything facility you might imagine is here!! The host is very pleasant and responsive.

Amazing location

The Beach House was the perfect place to have a family reunion. The location is wonderful, a short walk into Port Isaac and overlooking the beautiful Port Gaverne. Amazing decking/ balcony across the road to sit for sundowners and evening meals. Plenty of parking, lovely spacious rooms and a fantastic kitchen / dining room with plenty of space. The games room is great and the sauna too! We would definitely recommend.

Amazing large family house

The house is easy to find and has lots of parking which is very useful if like us you are all arriving from separate locations. The house was immaculately presented. Great kitchen facilities and the heating was efficient. Perfect location for short walk to Port Gavern and Easy walk to Port Isaac. I would recommended this house.

The Beach House Experience

The Beach House at Port Isacc is situated overlooking the neighbouring beautiful harbour of Port Gavern. The house was immaculately presented with everything we needed for a 12 person adult (no chilldren) gathering. It has a great downstairs layout that lends itself perfectly for large social gatherings, intimate private conversations and quiet personal reflection. The kitchen has everything you need and the dining table fits 12 with comfort, the games room has everything you need for a good night in. Getting to and getting into the house was a breeze with clear instructions and plenty of parking provided, enough for seven cars. The bedrooms are comfortable with the great bonus of each one being en-suite. Great for personal space and privacy. One tiny observation. All the beds bar one have bed ends at the foot. If you are, like me, we'll above six foot that can be a bit annoying..... no one else had that problem. Our communication with the owner/agent was absolutely minimal (other than not being able to find an internal key) which proves how well the place is set up. We had a great week and have made some fantastic memories. The house is highly recommended and Port Isacc is great (not sure I could cope in the middle of Summer), we even went down to the harbour to indulge ourselves with a bit of busking, no monies were taken during our self indulgence, but what a great laugh. Thank you to The Management Team of The Beach House at Port Isacc.

Absolutely perfect!

We loved the Beach House from the moment we arrived. The impressive location and stunning view are one thing but everything in the house was perfect also. Everything was clean and tidy, all the facilities we needed on hand. The layout of the house suited our needs perfectly and the bonus of having an en suite in every room meant no queues for the bathroom for our group! The games room is a great asset and we spent lots of time here. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property for your stay in Port Isaac. Great communication from the owner who was on hand for any any queries. Thank you!

Family Holiday

We had a great stay. The home was spacious and great for a family of 16. The kids loved the games room. The location was excellent and we had some great days on the beach. Great property for a dog also. Would love to stay again some day. Was difficult to get tables for dinner and takeaways due to how busy Cornwall was this summer so I would recommend booking places in advance. Great holiday lovely accommodation.

Beach house

This is a great house for large families and location. Every bedroom had their own en-suite which was ideal, large kitchen and dining table, games room (though I feel the pool table should move for more space), large front room. Beautiful views and walkable to the restaurants etc. However, I do feel the house needs a bit of attention for example; inside the fridges, the fridge in the games room! The patio door handle. Overall we all enjoyed our stay and staying in Port Issac.

Caters for everything

We travelled as 5 couples , all old school friends from years back , all rooms are good with a view , perfect location between Port Isaac and the next inlet ,games room a real bonus for us all . We find most large houses have the basics well covered , but the quirkiness of The Beach House enhanced by the games room makes it the best yet for our group who try to get together for a catch up most years . Clean , warm , plenty of parking , sea views , good size living spaces , I really recommend this for large family gatherings or groups of friends ,looking for a long weekend in Port Isaac .

Beach House June 2019

We had the most amazing few days staying at this property. Location, space, views, house facilities were all excellent. The only issue was that we had not been sent the code for the key lock, and it was not on the app as mentioned, so ended standing outside on arrival for over an hour trying to get that sorted. It’s also a shame that the recycling bins were all overflowing, which needs to be sorted out. Other than those 2 points, the whole experience was really good.

Lovely House - Exceptional Location

We have had a wonderful family holiday at The Beach House. It is a lovely house and great care has been taken to make it feel 'homely' yet beautiful. A games room was enjoyed by all the family when the weather was against us, plus an abundance of books and DVD's. The location is amazing with views of the sea and surrounding cliffs. Lovely walks to Port Gaverne, Port Isaac, and coastal walks all right on your doorstep. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a cream tea which was a lovely surprise. We have already recommended The Beach House twice since returning and are looking forward to staying at this stunning house and location again. Thank you.

Lovely house with everything you need for a fantastic holiday and in a wonderful location.

Unfortunately we only stayed for a long weekend, would have loved longer. There were four teenagers and five adults but because of the size and layout of the house we were able to all do our own thing without being on top of each other. The kids loved the games room and spent many happy hours there whilst the adults enjoyed a glass of wine sitting on the terrace looking out to sea. The owner had given us an information sheet which included names and numbers of the numerous pubs, restaurants and takeaways which we found extremely useful. I would also just like to mention that I left several items of clothing in a bedroom draw which I had completely forgotten about and the housekeeper sent me a text asking if any member of our party had left anything. When I realised that I was the culprit she asked for my address and sent them to me the same day. Sally is definitely an extremely competent housekeeper so don’t worry if you are worried about leaving anything behind they will find their way back to you! We all thoroughly recommend The Beachhouse at Port Isaac for a wonderful holiday. Meg West Midlands

Great for a get-together

I booked the Beach House for my 70th birthday weekend with the family (10 of us age range 22 to 70) and it was a great success! Super house, completely and perfectly equipped, plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing be it enjoying the sea view, playing pool, table tennis, table football etc and then come mealtimes a big dining table for getting together around. Marvellous location on the edge of the village, very useful Co-Op round the corner and more restaurant and pub opportunities than can be taken advantage of over a weekend. All the bedrooms and en-suites are very, very nicely equipped and decorated and all in all the house is superbly comfortable. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending the Beach House for a stay and come some suitable occasion we will be back!

The perfect family home in a perfect location.

If you are looking for a large home for a mix of adults and kids in Cornwall, look no further! We had 7 adults and 4 kids (2 x 5yo and 2 x 3yo) and we were amazed to find the house was so large that we didn't feel remotely under each other's feet at any point for an entire week. Lots for us and the kids to do within the house and even more to do within a short walk. Port Gaverne beach (and pub) is a must with kids and we made the short daily walk there at some point every day. Colin (owner) was great to deal with and the whole thing was stress free and faultless. House in great order and clean and tidy. Can't wait to get back there for another week. Highly recommended

Hard to beat!

What a fantastic house with stunning views that are guaranteed to take your breath away. The house takes full advantage of it's situation with the majority of the bedrooms having sea views together with the main reception rooms. We were lucky enough to have brilliant weather but if the English weather lets you down, the conservatory is in prime position to make the most of the views. We were a party of 14 and 3 generations. There was enough space to rub shoulders when you wanted but find some peace when you didn't. We all came together at meal times where we could eat at the large table in front of that view and make use of the well equipped kitchen. The games room provided endless entertainment and the variety of outside spaces meant you could enjoy the sun all day long. The location was perfect too. To one side was a short work into quirky Port Isaac. We enjoyed the pubs, takeaways, shops, fish market and live music on the beach. To the other side was beautiful Port Gavern with it's pretty bay and handy hotel. It's not often you can find a quiet beach with a cold beer watching the kids play safely in the rock pools. The neighbours, house keepers and property owners went out of their way to help us. All the ingredients for a wonderful holiday. I couldn't recommend it enough and can't wait to go back!

What a fantastic place!

We were a group of 12 adults most of whom were celebrating 30 years of marriage. From the moment we entered the house, after Colin was there to greet us and help with car parking, we had the most wonderful long weekend. We had already viewed the house online and were very excited but the reality was even better. We were particularly surprised by the amount of outdoor space available to us. To say the kitchen in particular was well equipped was an understatement. There was plenty of everything even when the dishwasher was full of what we had used previously. The house was spotless and the views are to die for! Scones on our arrival was a nice touch also. We had beautiful weather but we knew if it hadnt been we would never have been bored - we had a mini tournament on Sunday afternoon in the games room where everyone was occupied at the same time! The village is walking distance and we brought back fish and chips for our supper on the first evening. We have already booked to come here again in December 2016 for a long weekend. It is very good value for money. We have no hesitation in recommending this gem we have found and been fortunate enough to enjoy.

We already had a cottage in Port Isaac when the St
Andrews Hotel came on the market in 2002.
The renovation took two years and involved taking the building back to its 1890 fabric.

Colin, who has been a professional photographer for 40 years for National papers and magazines, was very much hands on with a small dedicated team from the village to rebuild the Beach House to what it is now.

We absolutely adore Port Isaac which has the most
lively and welcoming community you could ever wish for.

Julie runs her own Solicitors' practice just outside Bath, and looks forward to catching up with the many friends we have there.

The comments in the visitors book tells us that the love and care put into the house has given so much to so many.

There are two gorgeous harbour beaches.

What makes this property unique

There are two gorgeous harbour beaches – one at Port Isaac and the other at Port Gaverne just around the bay. There are lovely places to eat and masses of fresh seafood brought in by the Port Isaac fishermen every day. You can even buy your own from the fish cellars and have fresh crab sandwiches on the sun terrace at the Beach House looking out to sea, or pop across to the Beach House Chablis balcony and watch the boats going in and out of Port Gaverne.
