Les Baguettes está situado en la pequeña aldea de Dolo con su propia panadería, bar, pequeña tienda y crepería. También hay un lago que se puede pescar y, para los más enérgicos, hay un sendero de ejercicios que lo rodea y también un área de juegos para niños con tirolina. El lago también cuenta con un wake park y un snack bar. El pueblo grande más cercano es el pintoresco Jugon Les Lacs.

We absolutely loved our stay with David and Sandy. We travelled as 2 families, 4 adults and 3 children aged 6,7 and 10. The property was neat and tidy and had all we needed for our 2 week stay. The pool was kept warm (30C) and clean, which isn't always the case with pools, due to cost. Hot tub was set at 40C and also very clean. We used the BBQ and all the garden facilities, so much for the kids to play with, meaning we had to bring less with us.Sandy and David were on hand along with their 2 cats Pixie and Maxi and a gorgeously natured dog called Misty. These helped make our children's holiday and added fun and entertainment everyday. The local bar/restaurant had some of the nicest food we ate on holiday and is friends with David and Sandy and lives next door. The village is full of friendly people and the park around the wakeboarding lake is great too. The waterpark was so much fun and we went on it twice. Next time we will try wakeboarding. Both costing 12 per hour, so extremely reasonable. So much to do within easy access and David and Sandy had so much useful information that helped us plan our trips to local towns, markets and beaches.Our children's best holiday to date.and I must say a very relaxed holiday for the grown ups too.Would definitely love to stay again.Thanks again The Kilsby's

Es war ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt mit ausnehmend freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern, die auch wertvolle Tipps zu möglichen Freizeitaktivitäten und den besten Stränden gegeben haben. Die Scheune und der Garten mit allen Spielmöglichkeiten inkl. Pool und Whirlpool sind toll - nicht nur für Kinder, sondern auch für Erwachsene. WLAN war perfekt auch für professionelle Meetings, die Küche ist optimal ausgestattet, um auch unsere Reisegruppe mit 6 Personen versorgen zu können. Check-In und -Out liefen 100% entspannt und problemlos ab.Die Gegend ist landschaftlich reizvoll und absolut ruhig. Die umliegenden Restaurants sind empfehlenswert. Die ideale Wahl für einen Erholungsurlaub. Wir werden wiederkommen...

Comfortable holiday home

A detached barn next to owners property. Lovely garden with a nice pool. The owners Sandy and David are very welcoming and friendly. The jacuzzi was relaxing but we did have a few issues which the owners tried to rectify. Unfortunately on a couple of occasions the water was dirty and an error code kept appearing. The owners changed the water and filter but this did not resolve the issue fully. Sandy gave us some great advice on places to visit which was wonderful. We felt at home. A beautiful quiet location. Very relaxing and comfortable.

Fabulous place to stay

We had the most amazing time staying at Sandy and David’s. They couldn’t have been more welcoming. The beds were comfortable and our boys enjoyed their room with a bunk bed and single bed. The swimming pool was great as was the whole garden - boules, badminton, a slide, swing set and plenty of space to play football. Jugon-les-Lacs is a 10 minute drive away, we ate there a few evenings. The wakepark (300 metres away) was great fun and the food is good. All in all a super 10 days. Thank you.

Très agréable semaine dans la campagne bretonne

Toute la famille a passé une agréable semaine dans le gîte: nous avons bien profité de la piscine, du jacuzzi, de la base nautique et des visites alentours. Sandy et David ont été adorables et nous ont fourni tout ce qu'ils pouvaient pour que notre séjour soit le plus agréable possible. Les enfants ont adoré aussi les animaux et il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait à l'arrivée pour que les vacances démarrent bien tout de suite!

Bon ressourcement en Bretagne !

Situé en milieu rural, le gîte est très bien placé au cœur de Dolo, à deux pas de Jugon-les-Lacs, une petite cité de caractère agréable et pleine d'activités touristiques l'été. A Dolo, le site de Wake Board est un gros atout : l'essayer, c'est l'adopter ! Le gîte est très agréable et très bien équipé. La présence du jacuzzi est un un gros plus. L'été, il y a même une piscine et une table de ping-pong. Le terrain de boules dans le beau jardin à l'anglaise est autre atout. Mais le must du must, ce sont les propriétaires très sympathiques et arrangeants. Merci pour votre accueil ! On reviendra, c'est sûr. Petit bonus, le gîte est à une quarantaine de minutes de Saint-Jacut-de-la-mer, une cité balnéaire qui vaut vraiment le détour.

Wij genoten van een zalig verblijf in een heel charmant net huisje in Dolo ,heel sympathieke en behulpzame gastvrouw en heer Sandy & David ! Er ontbreekt niets, als welkom staat er drinks in de frigo, koffie en ...De zon ontbrak een beetje maar het heerlijk warme bubbelbad maakte dit goed:) Thanks

A wonderful break in the French countryside

We had such an amazing break getting away from it all! Sandy and Dave were perfect hosts, really welcoming and helpful (even letting us check in a day early) but it’s the little touches that make it really special. It’s so lovely renting a property and it feeling like home... teabags, herbs, oil, dishwasher tablets! They have 2 pets which my children loved, in particular my little boy who has spent the last 2 days pretending to be dog and Pixie! The gite is fantastic, the pool amazing and the hot tub the icing on the cake. If you go, we highly recommend the wakeboard park, Donatello’s restaurant in Jugon, Pen guan beach and St Malo. We are just sad the new quarantine rules meant we had to leave a few days early but it’s gives us even more of a reason to go back! Sarah x

Zauberhaftes Ferienhaus perfekt für Familien

Wir haben 2 Wochen Familienurlaub in Dolo verbracht und unseren Aufenthalt dort und in der Umgebung sehr genossen. Die sehr freundlichen Vermieter waren hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Man kann wunderbar über Feldwege nach Jugon radeln und die Gegend erkunden bzw. am Marktplatz essen gehen. Der Wakeboard-Park um die Ecke zieht viele Menschen an und es macht Spaß, sich dort aufzuhalten und einfach zuzuschauen bzw. auch Kneeboarding selbst auszuprobieren. In der Umgebung gibt es viele große und kleine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, die gut zu erreichen sind. Für Kulturausflüge eignet sich die Lage im Landesinneren, da zwei Nationalstraßen in ein paar Minuten erreichbar sind. So ging es für uns nach Dinan (20 min), St. Malo (40 min), Rennes (45 min), Mont St. Michel (60 min) und an diverse Küstenorte (25-40 min) in der Nähe. Cap Fréhel und St. Cast-le-Guildo bzw. Erquy sind besonders lohnenswerte Ziele. Die Côte d'Émeraude insgesamt ist sehr schön, mit vielen Sandstränden.

The perfect home from home

We had a simply perfect stay at this beautiful gite. Sandy and David were so friendly, hospitable and helpful from the moment we arrived. The gite was beyond perfect and incredibly spacious and clean. On arrival the welcome wine and groceries were much appreciated. Dolo is the ideal tranquil spot to explore Brittany as so many wonderful attractions are under an hour drive away, or to relax and simply enjoy the beautiful garden, hot tub and pool. Our 2 children aged 4 and 6 were fully entertained with the pool, hot tub, all of the toys, books, garden games and we spent many a night enjoying the wood burner, a movie and a bottle of cider! All of the beds are incredibly comfortable, the 2 bathrooms offering wonderfully hot powerful showers. The village of Dolo provided us with delicious croissants and baguettes. The owners of the boulangerie patiently smiled throughout my terrible French and were very kind. we enjoyed a wonderful walk around the wake park watching the impressive jumps and the children enjoyed the zip wire there. All in all, this is probably the best gite we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Thank you!

Simply unforgettable holiday. An amazing place, amazing hosts, we all loved it!

Hi Sandy and David, This is for sure one for the memory bank. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at "Les Baguettes" for 8 nights. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. Your welcome was as warm as the house (I should mention that a fire was waiting for us in the stove and all the radiators were cranked up) your patience and kindness were just amazing. We also found you very laid back and happy to share. Over the years, you have accumulated so much knowledge that you are a mine of information on the area. DogDog was a great attraction with the kids. We never saw such a kind and obedient canine before. The house is even better in reality than on the pictures, sparkling clean and very vast. The high ceilings really add to the space, the bedding is great, especially in the two upstairs rooms where our 5 kids were happy to sleep each in their own bed. The 7 of us were very comfy for 8 days without ever stepping on each others toes. Our 5 Kids loved the Jacuzzi, the Pool and the Garden with so many games that they did not know which one to pick. May you continue for many years to improve peoples lives by providing the community with such a great service with a wonderful heart and a great smile. All the best. A Lovely Week

We had a wonderful stay at 'Les Baguettes'. Sandy was a friendly and attentive host. The house is clean and well set up and good value for money. The location is in a quiet but pretty village with a lovely spot for lunch within walking distance. We traveled with our two children age 6.5 months and 2.5 years. The house is perfectly set up for a holiday with really small children, with the pool, hot tub and lots of toys and games in the garden you really don't need to go far! We would definitely return.

Delightful Gite

We stayed for one week in August with our daughter and two grandchildren aged 6 and 8. The house was very spacious and well equipped and thoughtfully provided with lots to entertain the children. The garden area was particularly popular with the children, especially the pool and hot tub. We loved the beaches nearby, especially St Jacut and Pen Guen which Sandy recommended, also the horse riding at Jugon and pedaloes on the lake. Sandy and David were delightful hosts, available when needed and good company but respectful of our privacy. We would certainly book this property again when we next come to Brittany.

Verbazend rustig en relaxing

De woning is ruim en blijft fris ook op de heetste dagen. Het zwembad zorgt voor de nodige afkoeling en de jacuzzi voor de nodige relaxatie. Sandy is een perfecte "host" en het feit dat ze vlakbij is, en pluspunt. Zwembad reinigen, jacuzzi nakijken..ze doet het allemaal. En dan de rust...je hoort letterlijk meestal enkel de vogeltjes fluiten..geen rumoer, heerlijk rustige locatie midden een groene oase.

The Gite was beautifully presented clean and comfortable with everything needed for our holiday

We would like to thank Sandy and David for their helpfulness and friendliness during our week long stay with them. Our three little grandaughters absolutely loved the pool and hot tub and were quite tearful when we left to come home. Thank you also Sandy and David for our welcome pack of beer wine and other essentials it was extremely welcome after a day travelling in the car. We would love to return again soon.

Lovely family friendly holiday.

We enjoyed 2 weeks here, with our 2 sons aged 3 and 16 months. The boys loved playing in the garden and exploring the local area. The barn is spacious and well equipped. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. The bottles of wine when we arrived were very well received. We were fortunate to have warm weather, which meant we went to some nearby beaches. They were easy to get to and ideal for young children to play. We visited Dinard, St Cast and Dinan. We also went to the local lake and market. The water park not far from the barn is good to walk around and has a nice playground. We stopped for drinks at the cafe here and watched the wake boarders. We were sad to leave as we had such a lovely holiday.

We are David and Sandy Bartlett. We bought the property, an old farmhouse and barn in 1999, on the eve of the millennium. In 2001 we moved over here to live permanently with our two daughters, Daisy and Kitty, who are now Grown up.

Sandy was a Primary School teacher in England and has continued to work as a teacher over here. Fortunately she has a degree in French which has been an advantage. David is an audio-visual and sound engineer whose work is usually overseas.

Brittany is a lovely part of the world and we are very happy here. We will be on hand, but not intrusive, to offer advice and information to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible

We had often dreamt of owning a property in France but it became a reality after a visit to friends in the region in 1999. Sandy viewed the property and instantly fell in love with it and we put an offer in before David had even seen it. David, subsequently, spent a weekend here and
the deed was done!

We spent many holidays here and then decided to move here in 2001. We actually unloaded all our furniture and belongings in the morning and were on the beach at midday. It was a truly wonderful start to our life here.

While Dolo is a very small village, it is perfectly positioned in relation to some of the most beautiful sights in the area. Dinan, a medieval town and port is only twenty minutes away and there are also stunning beaches twenty- five minutes away in either direction.

Dolo is a peaceful little village but benefits from a bar and restaurant.
We recommend the moules, steaks and burgers.
There are some great walks in the area and marked cycle routes of varying difficulty. There is a children's playground, basketball court and fitness trail next to the lake which is about 100 metres from the gite. Small sailing boats and pedalos are available to hire in the next village, Jugon-les-lacs with its many restaurants.
The Wakepark is 400 metres away and serves food including great pizzas at lunchtime. There is a bouncy castle on the lake for children of all ages, as well as well as Wakeboarding.
