House was clean and family friendly, overall I was very satisfied, the only complaint, this property was located near the road and my sleep was disturbed by the constant automobile driving noise
Nice clean property, super close to the cute downtown and excellent restaurants. Home is on a busy street and traffic was a bit noisy in the owners suite. Didn’t use the hot tub but nice to have deck with table. Backyard could use a bit of cleanup.

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The house is super cute and comfortable but the cars going by sound like they are in the house. The televisions did not work in the bedrooms. We could not sleep because of how loud the street noises were so checked out after 1 night and got a hotel
The house was very nicely kept and comfortable, great maintenance of appliances and furnishings. Only issue was the hot tub appeared to be green and wasnt sure about the chemocals used so we didnt end up using that. Loved the place and in a great location.

Worked for Our Needs
Pros-Good location for our needs. Pleasant interior ( ie, flooring, decorations, big entry). Comfy main bed, sofa.

We enjoyed our stay at this spacious house in Troutdale. Everything was good. It's a convenient location in between Portland and the Columbia Gorge, and close to the airport. I recommend the sternwheel paddleboat tour on the Columbia River. Fun!

Hot tub or tepid tub.
Hot tub was sadness didn't get to correct temperature until after the second night of the stay and when it was at temperature would drop by 1 degree about every 10 minutes with the cover open. House is on a fairly busy street. The beds were comfortable enough and the house was pleasant overall. Family had a good time during our stay.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. While we are glad to hear you had a good time during your visit, we sincerely apologize for any issues you encountered with the hot tub. It appears the local team got in touch with you and provided directions to adjust the temperature of the hot tub and we appreciate you reaching out to us and allowing us to assist you. Thank you again for sharing this review with us. You were great guests and we hope to host you again soon.
We’ve had some bad rental experiences with houses that were supposedly “sparkling clean” and were very much not so. The Buxton was everything it claimed to be and was a breath of fresh air to come to after a long day of traveling with kids. The layout and location were great, simple things like lots of linens and pillows available and overall so comfortable. They’ve done a great job of making it homey, not just go to a thrift store for cheap dishes and some tacky wall art.
We would rent again in a heartbeat
