Parte de una pequeña aldea en el oeste de Creta, The House se ha transformado en una casa de vacaciones de cuatro dormitorios con piscina. La planta baja tiene muchas de sus características tradicionales y paredes de piedra, mientras que arriba hay 4 habitaciones grandes y elegantes. La casa está a solo 40 minutos en coche del aeropuerto de Chania ya 30 minutos de la ciudad veneciana de Chania. Las ciudades locales de Kissamos y Platenos están a 5 minutos en coche. Perfect stay

Very spacious house in quiet surrounding, 15 min from Falassarna Beach and 5 min from next village. Nice pool, huge and cosy terrace with shade and cool rooms (June). Can absolutely recommend the place!

One of the most interesting houses in which we had the opportunity to live. We have absolutely nothing to complain about. It was perfect. Very quiet area, close to the center of Kisamoss and to the nearby beaches of Falassarna. The house is sufficient for two families. We were five so we had a lot of places. Manager Rodo, answers all questions and is very helpful. The house is very well equipped with everything necessary: ​​kitchen, swimming pool, games for children etc. We recommend this place with all our heart. It is possible that we will be back agai

Has potential but needs a clean up

The house is in a nice spot, with great views and fairly close to Balos and Falassarna. It looks like it is currently being renovated so be prepared to some chipped paint and some 'unfinished' rooms. The property is still quite cool. Main problem for us was that the house was sooo dirty. There are a bunch of cats living there and all the pillows outside are so full of cat hair you really don't want to sit on them. A storage box would help. Lots of dust and dirt everywhere, and the last two nights we were all eaten up by the bed bugs. Not fun. Although communication with the house manager was easy, a couple of repairs that were required were not attended to.

Hello I am so sorry you did not like the house. We normally get 5 star reviews. 1. Renovation the villa is up in mountains and walls painted with chalk paint this sometimes flakes. We will get this reviewed today 2. The villa is cleaned extremely well. We will buy a cushion holder so guests can store in there overnight 3. There are no bed bugs you are telling the readers a total lie. The cleaners are through and would report this. I also had a local insect company in and they can not find any bed bugs. Please remove your comments by return regarding the bed bugs as this totally untrue. We believe, in future, you need to book in a hotel and not a villa in the mountains as we clearly describe it in our description. For the holiday season, we receive 5-star reviews so have to question your opinions. It's such a shame you want to ruin our reviews

Maison pas à la hauteur des prestations annoncées au regard du prix payé

Emplacement très sympa, à l'écart des foules, tranquille avec le voisinage mais malgré que nous avions des locataires omniprésents : 4 chats avaient élus domicile dans la maison et sur l'ensemble des coussins du patio...:- Maison qui malheureusement ne correspond pas aux photos annoncées alors que rénovée elle pourrait être superbe et très agréable : salle de bain vétuste avec de nombreuses installations du passé désormais manquantes et peintures vieillissantes, rouille sur le carrelage, tuyau de douche percé, lumières manquantes, évacuation des eaux défaillantes qui refluaient. ; peinture qui s'écaille dans les chambres, fenêtres qui ne ferment pas et les volets abîmés et cassés depuis longtemps ; lits corrects en taille mais propreté laissant à désirer, oreillers jaunis pour certains ; prises électriques sortant du mur , parfois défaillantes ; sèche-cheveux et fer à repasser sont plus proche du jouet que d'un véritable appareil. Compte tenu du prix payé pour cette maison, dans la cuisine il manque certains appareils : une cafetière électrique ( nous en avons acheté une), un micro-onde... La piscine est un peu petite en largeur mais agréable quand elle est propre ! Elle verdisait très vite ! Le rapport qualité/ prix n'est absolument pas celui que l'on attend d'un maison loué à ce prix (14 jours à près de 6500€) et au regard du marché local : cette maison est surévaluée d'au moins 40%! Notre correspondante, a été très sympa et très réactive cependant !

Beautiful journey!

La casa era bellissima e con tutti i comfort. Vicinissima alle spiagge più belle di Creta, il paesino di Kissamos con supermercati negozietti e ristoranti tipici era a 10 minuti di macchina. La nostra host, Rodo, è stata carinissima e sempre disponibile.Ci ha consigliato tanti locali e servizi vicini. Abbiamo goduto della splendida piscina e i bambini si sono divertiti tantissimo. Stanze da letto comodissime. Che dire…la vacanza perfetta in una location splendida! Spero di poterci tornare presto! Grazie Creta e grazie Rodo!

Villa reposante entourée d’oliviers et idéalement située pour découvrir Balos

Nous avons passé un séjour reposant dans cette maison spacieuse et qui appelle à la relaxation. La grande terrasse ombragée est idéale pour passer de bons moments autour de la table XXL qu’il s’agisse de savourer les produits locaux ou profiter des jeux de sociétés disponibles. Les banquettes, coussins et hamacs confortables permettent de passer les heures les plus chaudes de la journée, à bouquiner, se détendre...entre 2 plongeons dans la piscine. Pour les plus volontaires, une marche à la fraîche à travers les oliviers vous permettra de profiter d’un panorama à 360 degrés avec vue sur mer.

Prachtig huis in een prachtige omgeving, top locatie!

Het is een mooi huis dat smaakvol is ingericht met een prachtig terras om te loungen in de schaduw of in de zon! Het huis was niet super schoon, veel dode insecten op de vloer en in de hoeken maar dat veeg je snel zelf even schoon. Het huis is werkelijk prachtig, en dan vergeet je dat snel. Alleen in de week dat wij er waren was het 38 tot 42 graden en er was slechts op één slaapkamer airconditioning, en 3 slaapkamers hadden alleen een ventilator en dat was echt wel een nadeel want de temperatuur kwam niet onder de 28 graden in de nacht. Dus even een frisse duik in de vroege ochtend was heerlijk. Het huis is echt een aanrader, maar we hopen dat je dan een wat koelere week hebt! Dank dat we mochten genieten van het mooie huis!

Super spacious, privacy and excellent location

Excellently located to make short and day trips to several most beautiful beaches (nearest one is Falasarna, but also Balos Beach on north-west side and Elafonisi on south-west have been our highlights of the western Crete). Short distance to Kissamos – a tranquil and authentic city, where you can find fresh food, all type of groceries and numerous tavernas and dining locations. The house is much more spacious and of better appearance (rooms sizes, decorations and overall ambience) as on pictures. The combination of old traditional style stone house with interior is very nice. We have been staying with 3 children and we absolutely loved the outdoor area – huge patio, big table and lounge & pillows, garden with olive trees, hammocks. From the patio there is an overview of the pool and the garden, so in case you have young children, you have them in your sight and can relax in the lounge area or on one of the hammocks. There is a practical shower next to the pool when you come back from sandy beaches, as well as a refresher while staying outdoor. We found everything we needed in the house to cook, wash our clothes etc. The house is staying relatively cool even with 30c+ outside temperature, you just need to open some of windows to allow air flow. Rodo, the house manager is very friendly person who picked us up on arrival for check in and provided tips for tavernas, additional information on festivities taking place in near villages. Overall, very pleasant and relaxing stay. Highly recommended if you are looking for quality time with your family or friends, a lot of space and privacy. Thank you Anita and Rodo for making our visit to Crete a memorable event!

Tolle Zeit in Karefiliana!

Spectacular in every way!

An amazing house amongst the olive groves. I will miss this place as it was cozy and beautiful in every way. Rodo the property manager was a super bonus as she treated me like family with kind hospitality. Her tours, adventures, cooking classes and so much insight of Greek culture will be many memories I will cherish and cause me to come back for another stay. I can’t thank her and her boyfriend, Andres enough who gave me the ultimate Crete experience!!!

Schönes Haus, ruhige Lage

Das Haus und die Umgebung waren wirklich super. Alles entsprach den Fotos und somit den Erwartungen. Die 10 Minuten zum Meer sind allerdings mit dem Auto gemeint. Die Schlüsselübergabe war recht kompliziert, weil wir nach Sonnenuntergang den Treffpunkt am Hafen finden mussten, den uns die Dame vor Ort gegeben hatte. Als ortsunkundige Touristen war das nicht gerade einfach, weil wir nichtmal wussten, wo der Hafen sein soll. So verzögerte sich der Checkin schon um einiges. Das könnte man besser organisieren. Außerdem war das Haus nicht sauber. Wir mussten am nächsten morgen als erstes das ganze Haus saugen, weil überall Staub, Krümel und Dreck waren. Auch die Tischflächen mussten alle geputzt werden. Wenigstens waren Geschirr und Besteck sauber. Hier sollte deutlich dran gearbeitet werden. Alles zusammen war es jedoch ein guter Aufenthalt.

Excellent Villa

We have just returned from a really enjoyable holiday in Karefilana. The Villa is spacious and well equipped and is a rare find when seeking 3 double bedrooms. We all enjoyed our stay there, making the most of the spacious outdoor dining and relaxation area. All the bedrooms were of a good size and with 3 bathrooms we were able to have one per couple. All communication with the owners was good and the villa is managed locally by a very helpful local lady. My only slightly negative is that in my opinion the picture of the Pool in the advert makes it look much larger than it is and my first reaction upon seeing it was disappointment. In reality the Pool is a reasonable size and we enjoyed using it. I have no hesitation in recommending this property which is located in a good position in an unspoilt part of the Island.

Super maison pour grande famille

Très belle maison...grande..très pratique. La terrasse est magnifique..on y passe tout son temps. C'est un peu au bout du monde...mais ça vaut le coup. L'accueil, à n'importe quelle heure...C'est très appréciable. Et en plus avec plein de fruits !!! Les chambres sont immenses et très confortables. Prévoir brassards pour les enfants qui ne savent pas nager ! Car on n'a pas pied dans la piscine. Surprise également car pas de moustiques ! Enfin magnifique séjour pour nous !!! Plage à 10 mn en voiture...et on était presque tout le temps les seuls sur cette plage. Je recommande cette location.

A simply perfect home

We had a fantastic holiday in this incredible house: we were 2 families (8 people) with young daughters and we felt like we were in paradise ... The house is huge, surrounded by a valley of olive trees, entirely built of stone and perfectly restored with very elegant architectural solutions and furnishings. Waking up in the morning with the songs of cicadas, having breakfast in the large and cool patio, then a dip in the pool, grilled fish and afternoon of silence and relaxation, at the end of the day the crickets sing the lullaby ... it's an experience that we will remember for a long time ... The location is strategic, close to the most beautiful beaches of the island: Falassarna beach is 10 minutes by car, the dirt road to Balos is 5 minutes away, Elafonissi is about 1 hour. Rodo is always present for anything, but you won't need anything because you will already find everything. A precious place for unforgettable holidays.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We looked in Spain and France for a property but thought it all looked to busy. The Crete House was chosen for it's looks. The property has it's original beautiful stone work down stairs and upstairs are 4 very slick rooms. We just love the location as it close to one of Crete's most beautiful beeches - Flassarna. Plus has good quality night life in Kasteli.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The main benefits of the property: Great location with it's own swimming pool and close to fantastic beaches. Villa is home friendly and does not have that cold 'rental' feeling. Beautiful beds - 3 of the rooms have amazing 2m x 2m.
