The Moulin De Guinche is a superbly located attractive Luxury Villa complete with its own huge heated indoor swimming pool, and benefits from being newly and professionally renovated to a very high standard. It sits in 2 acres of tranquil landscaped gardens with its own private lake that is stocked with large and numerous fish. Free WIFI is included and SKY TV. Guests can enjoy the gardens and the lake and can catch Carp to 20lbs. A fleet of mountain bikes is available to explore the many quiet local country roads. There is also an outdoor american pool table and bar football table. Fontenay le Comte is a larger town and is only 20 minute away. Fontenay has several historic buildings, many shops and restaurants, and a nice street market. Sorry we do not accept Pets.

We love the Vendee and have enjoyed many happy family holidays there over the years. In 2008 we decided to buy our own holiday home and as soon as we saw the Moulin De Guinche we fell in love with it and purchased it straight away. Since then we have had the house refurbished to an extremely high standard and decided to then rent the Moulin out to help pay towards the costs which given the huge size of the place coupled with over 2 acres of grounds and the lake are not insignificant... Our children love going over there and we have introduced options such as the cycling package and fishing package for our guests. We do not think there is a finer holiday Villa in the Vendee and get the same feedback for our guests. We pay attention to every detail to make sure your holiday is perfect!

Why they chose this property

The area is perfect and local micro climate makes the southern Vendee one of the sunniest areas with an average of 2,600hrs of sunshine per year (London has just 1,490). The Moulin De Guinche is situated in a hamlet called Ligne; it is peaceful but not isolated and is very near the village of St Valerien which has a small bar/shop which is just a 2 minute drive from the house and in the summer months the bar holds special BBQ nights. More shops and restaurants are just 10 minutes away and the location is perfect for visiting the west coast beaches (1 hour) and La Rochelle etc. The amazing Puy Du Fou is just 45 mins away.

What makes this property unique

The Moulin is probably unique in the Vendee and certainly within the local area. Its of a modern Villa design with the kitchen and lounge upstairs for superior summer living. It also has a huge indoor heated pool rather than an outdoor one so in the unlikely event of poor weather you can still enjoy the pool! The private lake with its own population of well fed ducks and fish is also wonderful. The large 2 acres of gardens are great for kids to explore and it overlooks open countryside. Cycling and fishing packages are also available for our guests.
