About Rachel Wingrave
We are Rachel & Paul, we have three young children and two teenagers. We fell in love with Kalkan some time ago and knew it was the right place for us to purchase our holiday home. We lead busy lives but hope to spend more time out in Kalkan in the future; it's such a wonderful location! We are honest, decent people and are looking to rent our home out to similar people who wish to experience Kalkan and it's wonderful views and quaint town with it's unique atmosphere. We will look to help you out all we can and make your experience of Villa Nazli & Kalkan second to none!
Rachel Wingrave purchased this Villa in 2012
Why Rachel Wingrave chose Kaş
We bought Villa Nazli after viewing dozens of others due it's breathtaking views and the proximity to the old town. It's located in a very peaceful area and offers total privacy. There is a restaurant within 2 mins walk and a small shop within 10 mins. The old town is approx 15 mins down a signposted path. Prior to 2012, Nazli had been very successfully rented out by Simpson's travel, who are a very reputable, high end travel company.
What makes this Villa unique
The Villa has all modern conveniences. It is a complete home from home and has all catering needs covered. It is ideal for those with mobility issues due to it's private drive access direct to the front door coupled with a downstairs double room and shower room. Nazli is also suitable for those with children and we have tried to cater for all their needs from cots, highchairs to plastic tableware, cutlery and some basic beach/pool toys. The pool has integrated Roman steps which makes it easier for children & the elderly.

Lovely villa, good location with a great view!
Had another lovely family holiday in Kalkan, this time staying at Villa Nazli. The villa is in a good location with a great vista overlooking the bay and the marina. It’s well kitted out with all the main things you need when you’re away and the small welcome pack was useful for the first morning before we went shopping. Comfortable, well kept furnishings with a fantastic pool and good outside space which our three teenagers loved. Rachel and Paul were always on hand via email if you had any questions and Hamza and Suleyman from KPS were also excellent at answering queries and helping us sort our boat trip. Tefvik the pool/handyman gets a special mention for always smiling and being so helpful.
It is a steep walk downhill to the old town but it’s always worth it for the great array of restaurants and bars. The variety of little shops in the old town are also great and you can purchase lots of lovely things to take home. BSG, NEED (opposite the Olive Garden) and Chic Bags (down the first little road by the side of Oscar Watches) are all really good shops for purchasing excellent quality leather handbags. Taxis are very cheap for the homeward journey (15tl).
Favourite trips out included the Kaya Restaurant Countryside BBQ, Patara Beach which has a fab breeze which was most welcome in the heat and, a lovely private boat trip on the Sunrise 1 around the bay snorkelling with the fish and enjoying a mud bath!
Kalkan never fails to deliver as a lovely holiday destination and we look forward to coming back again next year for round three!,
Breathtaking views never disappoint!
We love Nazli. Well equipped to make your holiday totally stress free. Caters for all needs.
Villa Nazli revisited
This is not the first time we have been fortunate enough to stay at this fantastic villa. We have been several times and once again the owners were very accommodating with our requests and timings. Never seem to get tired of the view and we noticed there had been a few improvements highlighting the owners desire to keep this villa in the best possible condition.
We once again wanted to organize a boat trip for the day and the owners were only too glad to help. Had a fantastic day out with lovely food cooked onboard.
We would continue to have no hesitation in recommending this property for families or friends. Thanks again to the owners.
Thank you Scott. So pleased you enjoyed another holiday with us at Villa Nazli.
Idyllic sunshine retreat
Everything we needed and a little bit more besides. 7 adults, one well appointed house and a stunning, panoramic view.
Set high enough up the mountain to be away from the hubbub and yet close enough to walk down to town (walking back is only for the athletic...that's what cabs are for!), the house has plenty of both communal and private areas. Perfect.
With a beautiful pool and outdoor living areas it's hard to leave behind but with a lovely town full of great restaurants/bars and a great selection of beaches (both natural and beachclub style) you're sure to have as relaxing a stay as we had.
We'd recommend hiring a boat for the day and cruising around the islands and bays, especially 'Muddy Beach'!
The people are lovely and can't do enough for you. Any questions/issues were thoroughly put to bed by the helpful owners and their staff. Thanks for a great time.
Thank you for taking time out to review Villa Nazli. The views really are quite special. Come and relax again with us soon!
So pleased you enjoyed our recommended boat trip too.
Just had a fantastic family holiday in Kalkan, staying in a wonderful villa with views to die for.
Stayed at Villa Nazli which has every amenity you could wish for with 7 other family members but there is so much room you did not intrude on anybody else's space.
Would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone that wants a piece of paradise in a home from home
Eric and family, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your precious time together at Nazli. We aspire to make it a 'home from home' and an easy place to holiday; glad you found it so!
We would be delighted to have you stay again. Many thanks for your generous review.
Pure luxury for a chilled out break
Totally blown away on where the villia is situated the view of the sea and surrounding countryside was simply stunning , we never had to worry about having a buggy to neogiate and getting a worn out toddler into bed after a night in the village as the access to the villa made it easy. The Villia its self is stylish and clean the being able to see the sea from the bedrooms is just dreamy. We all spent so much time in the pool and had to drag ourselves away to visit some of the places that the owners had suggested (they obvioulsy have absorbed themselves into the Kalkan way of life and know their stuff) to visit while on our stay - was lovely to venture out but we loved coming 'home' it did actually feel like our home even though we were there for a week.... would go back in the drop of a beach towel..... Paul and Rachel are obvioulsy very house proud and organised they have thought of everything - we cannot fault out stay ..just wish it was longer .......thank you for making our stay so carefree and enjoyable - can't recommend enough .
Thank you very much for your feedback Niccy and family. It is so lovely to hear that your stay was dreamy!
Thanks for taking the time out to post a review; future guests do find it useful.
We would welcome you back anytime!

Special interest holidays:
The Aegean Coast offers excellent diving. Daily Gullet cruises and water sports, including wake-boarding and water skiing, can all be booked in advance or during your stay, through our English agent.
Kalkan is close to Patara, Xanthos ancient ruins and the sunken city of Kekova. Saklikent gorge is well worth a visit - although be prepared to get a bit wet!
The villa is less than 10 minutes drive from Kalkan's attractive beach. The town has 7 beach clubs in stunning locations. Alternatively, a 10 minute dolmus ride (local minibus service) will take you to beautiful Kaputas beach, or a 20 minute ride takes you to the famous Patara beach with its 18km of white sand. Patara beach, set in a national park, has been voted one of the Med's most beautiful and undiscovered beaches. Olu Deniz beach, the most photographed in Turkey, is around an hour's drive.
The nearest airport is Dalaman (approx 1.5 hr drive) and flights are direct from the UK. Antalya airport is further away (approx. 3 hr drive). Transfer to and from the airport is usually by private car hire, taxi or minibus. We can arrange transfers and car hire from Kalkan at very reasonable prices. A car is recommended but not essential; supermarket's deliver, taxi's are plentiful and cheap, and Kalkan has its own beach. Many beach clubs also provide transport to/from villas.
Car hire gives you the flexibility to get the best out of a visit to this region-there is just so much to see & do! Driving is also very easy; roads are wide and not busy like in the UK.
Kalkan town centre, 5 mins drive (2.5km). Kaputas beach, 10 min drive. Patara beach, 15 min drive. Kas, 30 min drive. Fethiye, about 1 hour drive. Other local attractions are easily accessible, such as Xanthos (the ancient capital of Lycia), the sunken city of Kekova, the ghost town of Kayakoy, the rock tombs of Tlos, Demre and the Church of St Nicholas (Father Christmas), the mountain villages of Islamlar and Bezirgan, and Saklikent Gorge. Daily boat trips from the harbour are also available.
The restaurants of Kalkan are superb, and there are plenty to choose from. The shopping is fantastic, with beautiful silver jewellery shops and leather handbags. The locals are incredibly friendly and particularly so to children, most speak excellent English. There is also a good range of sports available, including: diving, snorkelling, water-skiing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, sailing, horse riding (at Patara), sea kayaking, canoeing, paragliding, and more. The Supermarkets in Kalkan are both comprehensive and competitive, they also deliver.
Multiple banks are available in Kalkan with numerous cash machines for your use.
