オールドスミシーは最近改装されたホリデイプロパティで、2つのベッドルーム（1つはダブル、1つはツイン）、2つのバスルーム（専用バスルームからダブル、さらに個別の家族用バスルーム）、3つ折りのドアにつながる大きなオープンプランのキッチン/ダイニング/ラウンジがありますほとんどがパティオに置かれたプライベートガーデンエリア。 ラウンジエリアと両方のベッドルームにあるFreeviewチャンネル付きテレビ。 ラウンジエリアのウッドバーナー（および丸太の供給）は、寒い日に暖かく保つ素晴らしい方法を提供します。 キッチンには、冷凍冷蔵庫、ガスコンロ付きオーブン、電子レンジ、食器洗い機、洗濯乾燥機があります。 「典型的な英国の村」と呼ばれる村の保護地域にあります。 ペットは事前の手配により歓迎します。ペット1匹あたり週20ポンド。

Such a cute home and the host was great to communicate with! The house was perfect for our family of three and we appreciated the milk and muffins left for us! Our son loved them. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay again!

Amazing property in a great location.

Fantastic detached bungalow with all of the facilities you could need for a self catering stay. In a great location to visit all of the nearby attractions the surrounding area has to offer. Friendly host living close by who helped with any questions that we had, and who left some welcome gifts for us on arrival. Good friendly pub nearby also. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Fabulous cottage and setting!

We found The Old Smithy perfect for our family stay with the kids (17, 12 and 4 year old cockapoo!) It is such a quirky building with a musical decor that was a big hit with us all. It has a fabulous enclosed garden for quiet sunny breakfasts or a cold beer after a day exploring the local area. We covered Stratford, Coventry, Leamington Spa and Warwick whilst there and also visited Napton, Daventry and Southam (Napton Cidery was a big hit!) The cottage has a full kitchen and clothes washing facilities and we bought supplies at the large Tesco in Southam to cook. We also had a treat takeaway from The Hollybush pub (and a visit every night with dog for a pint and game of cars in the sunny beer garden - live music on a Saturday was great there too!) The cottage is very clean and comfortable and Martin and Heather were great hosts letting us know additional info whilst we were staying (there was a heatwave so Martin told us where to find a fan to help us stay cool!) We will definitely be back for further stays.

Gorgeous character cottage

A lovely converted ( and extended) Smithy. Very comfortable with everything required for guest convenience. Really comfortable bed. The biggest bonus is the EV charging point plus the adjacent cosy pub 😀. The host is most welcoming and the Welcome Pack was much appreciated. We stayed here as it was convenient for visiting an elderly parent but can highly recommend it

Comfortable Cottage in a Beautiful Village

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Smithy, very comfortable well thought out accommodation and dog friendly too. Fascinating history and restoration of the cottage in keeping with the rest of the beautiful village. We will definitely be staying here again.

A great place to stay.

Beautifully presented property, full of charm, ideal for my family, age range 8 to 80. Very comfortable beds, excellent bathroom facilities, very private, & very dog friendly garden. Mine host very approachable & extremely helpful.

A great base for our formaula 1 weekend

Immaculate accommodation in a lovely area. Very spacious and has all the amenities required. Thank you to Martin who was a great host. Particularly liked the photos showing the renovation of the property. Highly recommended place to stay.

DELIGHTFUL COTTAGE IN PEAFEFUL SETTING

A very interesting cottage, The Old Smithy, will be a memorable stay. Owner, Martin, very efficient and helpful. Nice to have access to a garden with decent furniture. If you enjoy music and films there are plenty to choose from. The bed was extremely comfortable, best night's sleep we have experienced. We were left a very generous welcome pack which was very enjoyable. There is a pub within yards of the property which welcomed us. This has a very good Chinese take away just behind it which you can access through the pub. We visited Stoneleigh Abbey, close by, with a tour of the house £8 each, well worth it. We then had an afternoon tea (requires booking) which was excellent. Beautiful grounds to explore with a river, including ducks and geese.

A Great Rural Stay

We really enjoyed our short stay at The Old Smithy. The accommodation was warm, well-equipped and furnished to a high standard. The garden area provides a quiet area for relaxation. The art work, CDs and videos help to give the Smithy a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Great location - a lovely stay. Thank you Martin & Heather.

Great stay in a quiet location

Lovely property. Very cosy and warm with everything you'll need for your stay. Owner close by if any issues arise. Plenty of walks around the local area and there is lots to do a short drive away.

Very comfortable,love the wildlife & food

Second stay lovely place very comfortable, delicious lemon drizzle cake on arrival. So many birds in thier garden, also heard tawny owls at night time. Would really recommend the Chinese takeaway next door best chinese food ever x

This cottage never disappoints

Another fantastic stay in this beautiful cottage, even some bad weather couldn't put the dampeners on our stay. The cottage has everything you need (and more) for a comfortable break and never disappoints us. The owners are always at hand if needed and nothing is too much trouble for them. Can't wait to stay again in 2023.

Comfy accommodation with character

Being all on one level was a bonus for us as me & my sister had our 87 year old Mum with us. We had everything we needed for a lovely 3 night break in a scenic part of the country surrounded by rural villages and interesting places to visit. I had some questions before arriving and Martin answered straight away & was very helpful. The home made cake that was left (made by their daughter) was delicious and the thoughtful touches were much appreciated. The only thing I would say is that maybe the leaflets could do with going through & updating but there are plenty of tourist information centres around so it wasn't a problem.

Very enjoyable stay at The Old Smithy

We really enjoyed our long weekend at The Old Smithy. It was an ideal place to take my elderly Mum as it was all on one level and the good en-suite very convenient. We found the beds very comfortable with good linen. The kitchen was well equipped for the couple of meals we prepared there. The sitting area was a lovely place to relax and the dining area great for eating and playing games. The local pub is literally round the corner and it’s grounds are behind the Old Smithy’s patio area. The Chinese takeaway based in the pub’s kitchen was extremely convenient! We knew we had to bring our own bath towels and there was a hand towel and bath mat in each of the bathrooms and tea towels and washing up cloth and sponge in the kitchen plus all the basics (washing up liquid, dishwasher and washing capsules etc). The bathroom seems older than the en-suite. The showers were great with lots of hot water. I’d recommend bringing slippers. As other reviewers have mentioned the DVD and CD (non classical) collection is astonishing and if the weather had been bad I’d have been happy staying in and binge watching some of the DVDs! The lemon drizzle cake from Hattie Bakewell was really delicious. I would definitely be very happy to stay at The Old Smithy again. Thanks Martin and Heather for a lovely stay.

Woning + kasten stoffig - oven = niet gebruikt was vuil evenals afzuiging boven kookplaat

Grote slaapruimte: bovenin licht-inval was niet af te schermen. Doucheruimte: geen wastafel aanwezig tandenpoetsen= keuken. Eetkamertafel met de benen niet onder de tafel. Positief: wasmachine/droger en vaatwasser, de rust en de stilte. De prijsverhouding was niet naar wens. Wij zijn woningen in Florida (sinds 1993) gewend = schoner en voor een week betalen we 1/3e minder met meer luxe.

We restored the outbuildings at our property to provide the sort of accommodation we look for when we go away on holiday. A peaceful place from which to enjoy a lovely part of the country.

An old map revealed that the building had once been a Smithy - hence its name!
