Chalet Ă  ossature bois du XVIe siĂšcle attachĂ© Ă  une petite exploitation en activitĂ© avec du bĂ©tail dans un endroit rural calme. 5 couchages. 2 chambres, toutes deux en suite, avec vue sur la campagne. CanapĂ©-lit double dans le salon. Chauffage central au gaz. PoĂȘle Ă  bois Ă  inglenook. Stationnement hors rue et grand jardin. Utilisation de la piscine intĂ©rieure chauffĂ©e des propriĂ©taires. Base idĂ©ale pour explorer les pubs pittoresques du Suffolk et les Ă©glises mĂ©diĂ©vales, l'enterrement du navire Sutton Hoo, les chĂąteaux de Framlingham, Eye, Orford et Bungay. Moulin Ă  marĂ©e de Woodbridge, moulin Ă  poste de Saxstead, Snape Maltings, Minsmere Bird Sanctuary. Brasserie Adnams et distillerie de gin Ă  Southwold. Les escaliers vers les Ă©tages supĂ©rieurs sont raides et ne conviennent pas aux personnes ayant des problĂšmes de mobilitĂ© importants (voir photo). Cold December weekend break, fireplace was ideal. Well looked after. Fresh eggs on site! Very comfortable stay, lovely host. Visited Sutton Hoo and local villages. Way too many nice pubs nearby. Excellent scenic location.

Everything about the experience was wonderful — the location, the property, and our superb hosts. Very quiet with a beautiful garden setting. The cottage was very charming. My wife and I stayed here for three nights while visiting ancestral sites in the vicinity. Pauline and Norman were very kind.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting

A gorgeous period cottage that felt home from home. It is fully equipped and the swimming pool is an added bonus.Pauline and Norman are wonderful, they give you your privacy but are on hand if you need anything.Thank you Pauline and Norman for your wonderful hospitality and the drinks and snacks by your pond was a lovely surprise.If we come back to Suffolk, we will definitely stay here again.

A wonderful stay

What a wonderful place to stay with very lovely and accommodating hosts. We spent a long weekend here with young children where could go swimming whenever we wanted and the owners let my children bottle feed the lambs. A perfect stay in the countryside with many placed to visit locally. Highly recommend

Post Christmas stay

Just what we needed after Christmas. Pauline and Norman are very friendly. The pool was a great bonus as others have said. Location is lovely and so quiet. Lots of fantastic dog walks, hikes, bike rides and country pubs. The house was very cosey and we loved the fire. Would stay again!

What a wonderful find!

There is nothing to fault with this property. From Pauline’s warm welcome with fresh eggs and milk in the fridge, beautiful interior, wonderful wood burner and cosy feel we’ve had the best pre-Christmas break. The cottage is extremely spacious and perfectly decorated. The kitchen has everything you could need. The indoor pool is fabulous and there are even pool towels ready. We will definitely come again. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!

Authentic quiet rural experience

Friendly sociable hosts who provided comprehensive directions to the property, and a very good introduction to the property and its surrounding gardens and nearby private swimming pool. Authentic old property with modern fittings, large rooms although the ensuite facilities were a little compact to fit in the space between beams etc. The swimming pool was modern and available any reasonable time. The shower facilities next to the pool were excellent. Plenty of nature in the grounds, flowers, fruit trees etc and sheep, chickens to be fed, and lots of cats and kittens. Altogether a fabulous experience for the 10 nights, it was great to wake up to countryside views every morning. Thank you Pauline and Norman

Beautiful cottage and gardens. Property had everything we needed for a weeks stay .The indoor swimming pool was a lovely bonus and we enjoyed the cats, kittens and feeding the chickens. The hosts were just great, all in all a perfect weeks stay.

Bought Yew Tree Cottage 6 years ago and it forms half the house in which we have lived since 1979. We completely refurbished Yew Tree Cottage as a fully equipped holiday home. Now semi retired and keep a small holding with sheep and chickens. Someone should be around most of the time to help with queries/directions etc.

Yew Tree Cottage is in a quiet rural location with
views over the meadows and farmland. The cottage is timber framed with many original features but fully equipped kitchen with all mod cons. Gas fired central heating with underfloor heating in the kitchen and a wood burner in the lounge to keep you cosy no matter what the weather!
