Ludwell House is a family run business. We live in Torquay and have owned Ludwell House for 12 years. We do feel blessed to be so close to the beaches and wonderful countryside that South Devon has to offer. We have spent many years renovating Ludwell House to make it a really comfortable home from home for your holidays.

Why Ian Doyle & Karen Clark chose Babbacombe
We bought Ludwell House because it is a lovely Victorian Villa( c1890) set within the Cary Park conservation area of Babbacome, Torquay. We have lots of local shops, and buses, easy level access to Babbacombe Downs, beaches and excellent bus services. We love the fact that most of the original villas still remain and the area retains its unique atmosphere of seclusion while still offering amenities such as a Bowling Green, Tennis Courts and a Children’s Playground, not to mention the park itself and the Grade I Listed Church. this seems an ideal location for a holiday.
What makes this Apartment unique
Ludwell house is a short level walk to the Downs at Babbacombe and a five minute bus or car drive to the centre of Torquay. The local buses can take you all over South Devon and beyond but our favourite trip runs down to the harbour where you can take a stroll along the promenade stopping at one of the many cafes around the marina. You could take a cruise round the bay or a day trip by boat to Brixham or Dartmouth. Cary Park is a truly unique area of Torquay, being level, it is also leafy and tranquil yet within a short level walk to loads of amenities. Ludwell House has three apartments, two first floor with lovely views of the gardens and park and one at garden level with direct access to a terrace. We have our own private parking although there is plenty of free off-road parking as well
