Emma and John Tumelty
About Emma and John Tumelty
The 3 of us live in rural North Shropshire along with our 4 dogs, horses, cats, sheep, peacocks and chickens. We have holidayed along the North Cornwall coast as a family for years and also as children going back more years than any of us care to remember!
Emma and John Tumelty purchased this House in 2012
Why Emma and John Tumelty chose Pendoggett
This stretch of North Cornish coast has been a favourite for decades. We favour the estuarine beaches of Daymer Bay and Rock for tranquil walking beside a surf free sea but also love the windswept coast paths and crashing Atlantic ocean. Whether you want to surf, stroll or simply chill out this area keeps drawing us back again and again. Fabulous restaurants and quaint pubs with friendly locals only add to the joy of the area.
What makes this House unique
We chose Port View House because it offered something special, even in the depths of winter being able to enjoy the stunning views out to sea makes it a pleasure to visit, along with a woodburning stove to light and watch the storms roll in. Having a great pub less than a minute away and a footpath right down to the coast made the decision to buy that bit easier.

Very nice property , lovely situation by path to sea and nice pub with excellent food.
Holiday with family and friends
Lovely property, excellent location for all our favourite places.
Very well stocked with everything we needed.
The upstairs is a great space for being with friends and family and the balcony is an added bonus.
Nice house in a great location for the beaches of North Cornwall.
Hosts were excellent. Replied to all queries quickly.
Would certainly stay there again.
Enjoyed our stay at port view house
We had a lovely stay in Cornwall. One of our favourite places is Port Issac and we will be visiting again.
We particularly liked the balcony and sitting outside listening to the birds in the evening sun.
The house was very spacious and well equipped - Although we ate out most of the time as there was so much choice of good places to eat. Rick Stein’s café in Padstow, the Rock Inn in Rock, Mote Restaurant in Port Isaac and fabulous Cornish Pasties from Malcom Burnecutt’s Bakery in Wadebridge.
We enjoyed being in the living area upstairs, which had huge windows and stunning views of the countryside and the sea.
It is in an ideal location with easy access Port Isaac (aka Portwenn), Rock, Wadebridge with bikes for the Camel Trail and Padstow.
It was very convenient for the Cornish Arms, where we had an excellent meal on our first night.
We would love to return to Port View House.
What can I say - what a lovely house in a beautiful surroundings. We spent a week here with our children, grandchild and dog and were all very comfortable, the house is well equipped, comfortable beds and plenty of room. The garden is secure with a small country pub at the end of the drive. We would definitely recommend and hope to come back again.

There are great seafood restaurants in the area such as Paul Ainsworth's No.6 in Padstow and Outlaw's Fish Kitchen in Port Isaac both of which are in Tatler's Restaurant Guide 2015 and are seriously good. Booking recommended.
