The railway station is a 2 minute walk away so arrival on foot or bicycle couldn't be easier whilst also offering the opportunity for great days out. Alternatively bring your car and tour the delightful South Downs National Park including Beachy Head, Seven Sisters, the Cuckmere Valley and quaint villages scattered across the East Sussex countryside. The location of the delightful Wendy House is the main attraction giving a central base to explore on foot or have days out by train of car.

About Tim Fuller
Myself and family live locally at Pevensey Bay and have lived in the area all our lives. We love the variety that Eastbourne and surrounding areas offer from the stunning coast to the tranquillity of the countryside just a few miles inland. We love the outdoors and cycle a lot,either training for triathlons or taking it easy with our 2 daughters. Wendy our eldest, came up with the name for the cottage and Sophie, her sister, went along with the idea almost completely without jealousy! Having 2 young children has allowed us to sample many (if not all!) of the family attractions and activities within our area.

We bought Wendy House in September 2012 with the sole purpose of offering a holiday let. My wife used to work in Wharf Road many years ago and felt it would offer a very attraction location. It is in the heart of Eastbourne although you wouldn't know it. The feedback we receive generally always comments on the central but quiet location. The closeness of Eastbourne Station means arrival on foot is so easy and also offers unrivalled convenience for days out. Wendy House really does offer a year round base for exploring the delights of Eastbourne and surrounding areas. Our main aim is to ensure that we offer a pleasurable and comfortable stay. We feel that our local knowledge and availability if needed will provide you with the assurance that you will get the very most from your holiday.

A perfectly lovely place
Spent a great week at the Wendy House whilst at Eastbourne Tennis International. The house is well-situated, well-equipped and nicely decorated, and very neat and clean; communication with Tim the owner was really easy, quick and friendly. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Comfy Wendy House
We (3) found WH very comfortable, with cleverly chosen and located furniture all set off by attractive decor. Lots of interesting places to dine out close to hand. The only disappointment was the pier with half its length roped off.
Lovely Cottage in a great location
I really enjoyed my stay in this charming cottage. It’s been tastefully decorated in a seaside theme and I loved the use of driftwood and little ornaments. The location is fantastic with everything close at hand and even though it’s a central location it’s very quiet. I’d highly recommend Wendy House and will definitely stay again.
Cosy, convenient and thoughtfully equipped, a great stay.
We stayed at the Wendy House for the Eastbourne cycling festival. Everything we wanted to do was within easy walking distance. The street is quiet and yet centrally located. The Wendy House itself is beautifully decorated and a very relaxing place to stay. Thank you Tim!
A lovely property in a great location
Our stay at Wendy House was very enjoyable. The property was beautifully decorated and well equipped. As well as providing tea and coffee supplies there was even a pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge on arrival so we could have a cup of tea as soon as we'd unpacked the car.
There is a garage attached to the cottage, which can fit a small to medium sized vehicle, so it saved the expense and hassle of trying to find on-street parking.
The cottage is located down a quiet side street but is only a 2 minute walk from Eastbourne train station, the main shopping facilities and places to eat. The seafront is only a 15-20 minute walk from the cottage so we hardly used our car during our stay.
The owner, Tim, was very friendly and helpful and we would not hesitate to recommend Tim and his property to friends and family.
Grate base to explore Sussex
We had my parents visit from Spain and needed a base to explore the Sussex coast.
Conveniently located neat transport (rail and the 12X buses), the Wendy house exceeded our expectations. Very well fitted and equipped, we had a lovely stay
Eastbourne seafront and beach is 1km away and is an easy level stroll. Many other beaches are a short drive away to the East, such as Pevensey Bay or Normans Bay. To the West is the dramatic Birling Gap or Cuckmere Valley and Seaford.
Gatwick airport is located 45 miles away and the nearest ferry port, Newhaven, is 13 miles to the West. Eastbourne is easily accessible by main roads from all directions.
There are many places of interest surrounding Eastbourne. Quaint villages are a short drive away or experience the cosmopolitan feel of The City of Brighton just 45 minutes away. Perhaps take the 2 minute walk to Eastbourne Station and hop on a train that will take you to the heart of London for an exciting day out!
Eastbourne has so much to offer that it impossible to list all the highlights! The stretch of coastline along Eastbourne's shores is known as the Sunshine Coast and for a very good reason. It has one of the highest rates of sunshine in the UK. Eastbourne takes advantage of this fact by hosting many prestigious events in the summer months. Devonshire Park is once again home to the Aegon International tennis week from 18th to 25nd June. Expect big names as usual. Then,from 11th-14th August Eastbourne opens its skies and seafront to Airbourne International Airshow, the Internationally renowned free air display. This is a fantastic weekend and fun for all the family.
Throughout the year Eastbourne's theatres play host to a variety of shows and performers. There is guaranteed to be something to interest you and this year. There are myriad of cafe's and restaurants to cater for every taste including vegetarian and vegan. There are plenty of shopping opportunities with frequent street markets offering food and gifts and many attractions to keep everyone busy during their stay in Eastbourne.
Children will enjoy the playparks Eastbourne has on the seafront, a trip to the marvellous Drusillas Zoo Park or a ride on the Dotto train. There is tennis, crazy golf and a wide safe seafront for cycling or roller blading.

A deposit of 20% is payable upon booking with the balance payable 4 weeks prior to your stay A £50 damage deposit is payable at the time of booking. Changeover Day: Changeover on a Saturday is preferred but can be flexible. Please enquire. Notes on prices: For stays of less than 1 week, please enquire for prices. Discounts are available for longer stays. Prices are subject to change at owners discretion.
