lovely rural farmhouse
Fabulous dwelling, ideal for self catering. good value for money especially when shared. In the heart of the countryside away from hustle and bustle
Peaceful & Comfortable
Fantastic cottage, bought my mum away for her 80th birthday, the cottage suited her well with her disabilities, apart from the toilet been very low, she really needed a booster seat and another hand rail. All in all beautiful place.
Cosy cottage well equipped
The cottage is basic, there are no frills, but it is cosy and well equipped if you are self catering. Very pretty courtyard with a pond. Helen was a very nice lady. It is a great area & we loved Helmsley. We would stay again.
Back to our past
It was very easy to arrange the booking. My party of 3 was very happy with the cottage and our hosts were very welcoming. The seclusion and rural setting was perfect to get us all into the holiday feeling. The farm was a happy reminder of times past for all of us.
I was only there two nights but I enjoyed my stay. Nice and peaceful with a very comfortable bed. I
The only problem I had was finding the arrangements for checking in at the property. Fortunately I had Helen's number. I contacted her and left a message for the information and Helen did call me back later.

About Helen Earnshaw
Sparrow Hall is a mixed farm, and I run it with the help of friends and my daughter, since my husband died two years ago. I am passionately interested in sheep and cows, and all the wildlife around the farm which at the moment includes nesting barn owls and their chicks! Visitors can engage as much or as little as they want with the farm: all are welcome to enjoy the delights and downfalls of Sparrow Hall Farm!
