Wonderful property

Tim was the perfect host and went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed. The property is clean, comfortable and very well appointed (the bed is super comfortable), in a great location, less than 20 minutes to Bath and close to Lacock. Would stay here again.

Many thanks Jane for your review, we have made both Whitley Coach House and Whitley Old Garage each as much a home from home as possible. But both having handmade Vi-Spring pocketed mattresses normally only found in 5*/6* hotels. We want both to be great places to stay. Many thanks.

My husband and I had a lovely stay, cannot fault the place. It was a spontaneous trip, booked just 2 days before arriving and Tim was very responsive. It was equipped with everything we needed. We'd definitely return

Such a lovely little cottage, both the bed and sofa bed were really comfortable and the little courtyard was private and lovely to sit out in the evening. Pay attention to the directions as both parties found it difficult to find.

Gorgeous stay!

I stayed at the coach house as I was at a wedding nearby - I only wish I could have stayed longer! The bed was divine, the rooms comfortable and with a private garden. Tim was a fantastic host and on hand to help me with any q's. Many thanks!

Super accommodation

We had an extremely comfortable stay in Whitley Coach House in January this year. Very well furnished and equipped with everything needed. The wonderfully comfortable double bed was a joy, a struggle to get out of sometimes! The garden is lovely; a pity not always warm enough to take advantage of it but would be great in the summer. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. They provided invaluable help and advice on what to do and where to eat. Whitley is fortunate in having several notable restaurants within easy reach plus all the attractions of the area. We cannot rate Whitley Coach House too highly and we certainly aim to return again. We have the happiest memories.

Thank you very much for your review, they really help. The kingsize Lit Bateau bed with the handmade Vi-Spring mattress with thousands of individually pocketed springs is so sumptuous that many guests have bought one for their own homes. The kingsize sofa bed is also extremely comfortable, as is the folding single bed with a sprung 6" thick mattress, to allow for a maximum of five guests. Whitley Coach House has luxurious cotton sheets, duvet covers, sheet towels and hand towels. The pillows are all feather and down unless you wish for synthetic anti-allergy pillows which we can provide a couple of. Whitley Coach House is really a home from home there is even a Kenwood mixer, microwave and plenty of other things you would expect at home are provided. The garden is private to the coach house with wooden decking and teak furniture for use in the summer. We always make it clear that if we can improve anything we want to hear your thoughts and wish all our guests the very best stay possible. Thank you for choosing Whitley Coach House.

Another Fabulous Stay

My husband and I have stayed at this property several times, which says it all. We love staying here for many reasons. It is very clean and extremely comfortable. It is set back from the road and therefore very quiet, even though you don't have to trundle down small country lanes to get there. It is very well situated with easy access to many wonderful locations including Lacock, Bradford on Avon, Corsham, Castle Combe, Dyrham Park, other National Trust properties and the Avon and Kennett Canal, to name a few. And the hospitality of our hosts, Tim and Ginny, is second to none. They are extremely kind and friendly and will provide you with any assistance you may need whilst respecting your privacy. We highly recommend this property.

Before you fly over from Canada and whilst you are at Whitley Coach House you do extensive research into the very best attractions and superb restaurants nearby. We often glen a great deal from you both on some of the very, very many attractions and restaurants nearby. For many years you have ordered books and other items that we have taken delivery of on your behalf and put in the coach house on the day of your arrival. Also, we have brought things for the fridge, freezer etc or booked restaurants for your stay, all things we are delighted to do for you or any other guest. Very many thanks.

Super accommodation, welcoming hosts

The wonderful double bed was a joy, and a struggle to get out of it sometimes! The garden is lovely; a pity it was not warm enough to take much advantage! Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. They provided invaluable help and advice on what to do and where to eat. Whitley is fortunate in having several notable restaurants within very easy reach. We cannot rate Whitley Coach House too highly and we certainly aim to return again.

Exceeded all expectations!!

We stayed for a valentine retreat and have to say that the experience exceeded our expectations by a mile! Tim was incredibly hospitable and gave us useful information from directions to restaurant recommendations. They were respectful of our privacy (in fact we were left to our own devices, the only intervention was when the wind blew off a roof tile and he went straight up to repair it the following morning). The entire cottage was equipped with everything you could need and more with beautiful furniture including a bed made by Tim! It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning in the future! We also left a 3D jigsaw globe as we built it together while we were there...hopefully it can be enjoyed by others looking for a quiet retreat! Thanks you so much for everything (sorry for the delay in writing this review)! See you again soon!
