Visit the turtles in Argostoli. Kefalonia is an important nesting site for Loggerhead sea turtles. With Mounda beach being a main nesting site, although turtles come and nest on many of the sandy beaches of the island.

Mrytos Beach - Fantasic sunsets and after the making of 'Captain Correli's Mandolin' the beach that you must see.

We can organise the hiring of a private chef to prepare, cook and serve a meal for you from a selection of dishes. Viva will also take care of the washing up....and the cost is no more than many tavernas in Kefalonia. We can recommend Viva’s culinary skills from personal experience.

Guestbook comments from the owner

First holiday abroad for Ivy (11months) and had a great time. Weather was changeable but this enables us to visit Fiskardo, Sami, St Thomas' beach and Argostoli numerous times.

Recommend a meal at Elionas (Kefalonian meat pie was great especially for a big eaters like me)

Must see the turtles in Argostoli and we also saw dolphins at St. Thomas' beach.

Bakery in Peratata is amazing and very inexpensive.

AB supermarket is the best.

Would definitely recommend Kefalonia and the Villa to others.

Stunning views and location

  • 5 of 5

Villa Yasmina is in a great location, its very peaceful and has stunning views but is within easy reach to lots of lovely places to go and see! The owners were very helpful answering any questions we needed, and the staff that look after the villa were great in recommending places to go and letting us know any local information we needed to know! The Villa is extremly clean and looked after, there were lots of little homely touches that make it more like home from home, a lot of thought has gone into making the villa lovely and making your stay easy and relaxing. We spent a few days just sitting in the lovely garden and around the pool and also made use of the BBQ. The pool was cleaned reguarly and is a good size.

We visited Argostoli to see the turtles and have a look around the lovely shops, also lots of nice places to eat there. We also went to the castle cafe which has amazing view, melissani cave which is stunning, Anti Samos beach, these are just a few of the places we recommend visiting. There really are so many lovely places to go and will be going back again to do even more exploring!

We went with out young children 4 and 6, and have to say this is one of our favourite holidays, would definetly recommend to anyone!

Simply, a luxurious picturesque Villa.

  • 5 of 5

We visited Villa Yasmina in August 2016; we have already rebooked for 2017.

The villa is quite simply stunning, we had high expectations after visiting the website, viewing the pictures there and on social media, we showed friends who commented "It cannot be that perfect" believing in the filters placed on most pictures these days. However, when we arrived we were immersed in the beauty of the location and the villa itself, absolutely no filter was required.

The views over the swimming pool are beautiful, it truly feels as if you are swimming in the mountains themselves. We lost many hours staring into the view, in the midday sun, whilst paddling our feet in the lovely pool.

We spent many moments walking through the blooming landscaped gardens, we were truly impressed with the time, care and love invested into the gardens. The beauty of the flowers and plants, atttact the most colourful and beautiful butterflies, the garden makes the villa feel tropical. The villa itself, was equipped with more luxuries than we anticipated. From the stunning decor, to the luxury bedrooms, the fantastic DVD collection, and all amenities filled kitchen we wanted for nothing. We visited many fantastic tavernas and enjoyed tasteful, fragrant food. We used the visitors book in the villa for inside tips on the best places to visit. We visited Argostoli many times, we had a truly memorable day watching the turtles and lunching on the water front. Of course, it would be criminal to visit this villa and not take a trip to the Castle of St George. We spent many nights sitting by the pool with a glass of bubbles, watching the lights of the castle, a real spectacle. The trip up to the Castle is spectacular many great photo opportunities, after the castle visit we lunched at Castro's (next to the Castle), truly the most spectacular good! The cheese pies are mouthwatering!! I must also mention the fantastic help we received from the owners prior to our stay, they provided local knowledge on places to visit, supermarkets and extras including great deals on car rental. The owners employ a villa management team to help guests with local knowledge and maintain the villas cleanliness. We were extremely impressed with the standard of cleanliness of the villa and pool, we have been fortunate enough to visit many five star hotels over the world, and this villa superseded them all.

We had the most wonderful stay, it truly is an escapism.

One of the best holidays we have ever had!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 4, our two children being 15 and 14 - our agenda was simple really, relaxing, happy and stress free, this is exactly what we hoped it would be. We didn't hire a car for our two week holiday but this is only because we have visited this wonderful island so many times before - the taxi drivers did take some time to work out where we were but we loved that and its all down to the charm and the exclusivity which we hoped for!

We shall definitely be returning again x

A lovely place

  • 5 of 5

We regularly visit Kefalonia and this was our second visit to Villa Yasmina. It is a lovely villa, very well equipped throughout and the welcome pack was more than sufficient. The villa both inside and out is very well-maintained, lovely gardens and inviting pool. Everyone from the owners to the maintenance team work hard to ensure you have a perfect holiday. For a peaceful and relaxing getaway we highly recommend this villa.

Just perfect.

  • 5 of 5

The Villa Yasmina is not just a villa, it is a home. Everything you need and more is provided, from plug adapters to fully stocked cupboards, lilos to beach towels, all the little details that make a difference.

The location is beautiful and it’s lovely being in a village rather than a resort, it really makes you feel like you can live there rather than just be on holiday.

There are a couple of places within walking distance to eat and drink but a car is really essential. We found beautiful tavernas in nearby villages such as Spartia, Avithos, Lakithra etc and none are far to drive. You can also drive to Argostoli and Lassi for a more “lively” feel although Kefalonia is never too lively thank goodness. Please stay that way Kef!

The villa doesn’t have WIFI but who needs it with stunning views and peace and quiet! A really good selection of books are provided along with an IPOD docking station, CD player and a DVD player (with DVD’s) so if you fancy a night in or the weather is a bit temperamental then no WIFI is not the end of the world!

We used the fantastic BBQ one night, bought the meat from the “meat market” just down the road. They do speak English but I managed to order everything in Greek which worked well! There’s also a bakery and a mini market within walking distance or a few minute’s drive. The mini market doesn’t look much but they actually stock everything and English is spoken too, if you can manage a few words of Greek it does really go down well though!

The private pool and gardens are just lovely, views to the castle or to Mount Ainos add to the beauty, sitting at the table with a glass of Robola watching the sun go down, listening to the birds and insects, perfect.

Just one thing would have made the stay better, it would have been nice to have a bathroom clean and bed sheet change once in the week but this was not really a big deal, we tried to keep everything clean as we went along, as you would do in your own home anyway. Just something to bear in mind. I believe if you stay for 2 weeks, there is a cleaning service once in the middle but if you’re there for a week then there is nothing provided.

After 23 years of visiting the island, I will struggle to stay in a hotel again! We’ve always stayed in small B&B’s but now we’ve found the Villa Yasmina, will it ever be the same again?!

Although we visit other countries further afield, no year will be complete without a visit home to Kefalonia!

Villa Yasmina is set in a stunning location just below the famous Castle of St.George, in the valley of Agios St Andreas.

The St Andreas Valley is situated on the edge of the village of Peratata, in the Livathos area of the Island. Livathos is considered to be the most exclusive region on the Island, due both to its relatively close proximity to Argostoli, and to its central position, allowing accessibility to all areas of Kefalonia within a 1hr drive. The whole valley is dominated by the highest mountain range in the Ionian, Mt Ainos, and this spectacular scenery makes this the perfect location for a luxury holiday retreat.

The village of Peratata, just a 5 minute walk away, boasts a large variety of facilities, including a mini-market, bakeries, and an array of traditional Kefalonian tavernas. Some of the tavernas have access to wifi at no extra cost.
