Esta moderna casa cuenta con amplias habitaciones y se encuentra en una posición elevada en una zona tranquila con vistas al campo y un estanque de vida silvestre. Hay muchas áreas con césped en la parte delantera y trasera de la casa que está rodeada de bosques. Hay una gran cantidad de vida silvestre, incluidos faisanes, ardillas rojas, pájaros carpinteros, arrendajos, palomas y muchas otras aves que vienen a los diversos comederos de la propiedad. El pintoresco pueblo de Portpatrick, donde hay un campo de golf, mini golf, jardines, paseos, playa, pesca, restaurantes y pubs, se encuentra a 10 minutos en coche. Fabulous Property - five stars

Graham, our host, has built the perfect holiday cottage. Well planned, amazingly well equiped. This is by far the best self catering property that we've ever stayed in, and they've been many in New Zealand, France, Italy, Britain and the Scotland. The amount of wildlife in the area is wonderful. An added bonus, is the house is close to everywhere you'd want to visit but also out of traffic and flight paths.

Family holiday

The property was exactly as described, clean, spacious and well equipped and the host Graham was a really nice guy. Our granddaughter really loved the large garden and the woodlands and was amazed by the local wildlife which came into the Garden and which we could view from the house, many birds which included pheasant, woodpeckers various finches, crows and sparrows, red squirrel and deer. The location was great very quiet and relaxing but only a 15 minute drive from the local towns and beaches. We had a great holiday and may well come back to this property in the future.

A beautiful place to stay

We had a wonderful time and Graham was a great host, always on hand if we needed anything and providing ideas of things to do. The house is well equipped and has everything you could ever need for a comfortable stay. We loved the location, being close to lots of walks and within reasonable driving distance of attractions further afield. We could sit and watch the wildlife from the garden, spend time outside in nature and switch off, which is just what we needed.

A very large and spacious property which was very clean and comfortable for our large family

The property was very clean and nicely furnished. It had everything you could need for a home from home stay. Was perfect for our large family holiday (3 families) with plenty of space both inside and the surrounding grounds. We all had an amazing time both at the property and in the surrounding area exploring. Graham was a most helpful and friendly host who responded to all queries prior to the holiday promptly and was on hand if needed whilst on site. Thank you so much, we hope to return next year.

Lovely property delightful setting

Smooth process renting and good communication prior to stay. Plenty of room both inside and out. In a good location to travel around the area. The owner was close by and made us all feel very welcome without interfering with our stay. He keeps both the property and grounds in excellent order.

Beautiful setting

The house is huge and set in its own grounds offering plenty of space for the children to play and explore. Each room in house is well stocked and there is plenty of storage for clothes etc in bedrooms. This proved to be a fab base for us to explore the west coast. The only changes we feel the property needs is a little update to give the house a real wow factor which it could be more than capable of. Also while the house was tidy we did feel it wasn’t especially clean and found we had to wash a lot of the kitchen equipment, worktops and cooker before we could use them. Other than this, we found the house to be nice and well placed.

Amazing family getaway!

Just returned from a fantastic 4 day break with our family of 10. Immaculate beautiful house with everything to hand in a fabulous location. Graham was on hand to help with any problems instantly. Pictures don't do the propery justice. We will definitely be back soon.

House was in a great location clean and spacious.

The house itself was beautiful, was very clean plenty of space for 5 couples. Outside was great aswell. The host Graham was very helpful and on hand if we needed anything. Would recommend this house to family and friends and hope be back soon.

Amazing house in a peaceful location

House is amazing. Huge upstairs bedrooms and plenty of living, kitchen and dining space too. Immaculately clean throughout. Our kids just loved the house and the outdoor area (even in October). We will definitely be rebooking. Graham was very friendly and accommodating without imposing on our stay. 5 out of 5 all round

Excellent place for a break

This property was outstanding both in size and comfort. There were lots of extras provided which was rather wonderful. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. All in all a wonderful place for a holiday. Hoping to book again as soon as current restrictions lifted.

Portpatrick escape weekend

The property did exactly as it said on the description. The booking in was hassle free and Graham was on hand in case we had any questions. the property has absolutely loads of space both inside and out and the area is so quiet. Plenty of space for games in the huge grassed garden area and great exploring for the kids in the forest. Red squirrels aplenty!!! Great stay and just what we all needed! Portpatrick is only a 10 minute drive away and the restaurants are great. We ate at the Mount Stuart for Sunday lunch and it was great!

60th birthday weekend

Brilliant location fantastic facilities immaculate throughout would highly recommend this property for family’s, hen nights birthdays etc. Overall 10/10 The only thing I would recommend to the owner would be a grab rail in the downstairs shower for someone with a disability and plastic shower chair that could be removed when not in use. great holiday

The house was grand, perfectly clean and very spacious, easily accommodating the ten of us. Graham made us feel so welcome, with fresh flowers and milk in the fridge etc. The house is surrounded by huge grounds which are immaculately kept. Perfect house in a stunning setting

The property and it's beautiful surroundings exceeded all our expectations. We are a family of 3 generations and it catered for all our needs. There is ample space for everyone and the house is spotlessly clean and superbly equipped. The owner is friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. The location is beautiful, with huge grassy areas and a woodland to explore. We had BBQs on several evenings whilst relaxing in this peaceful setting. Perfect!

We used this house for the Rowing World Championships held at Stranraer . The house is very well equipped and clean. Perfect for a group of up to ten people. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful house in lovely countryside

We had a wonderful stay at Cairnhapple House. The property is very spacious, clean, and well equipped with everything anyone should need. It is set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, with woods to explore, full of bluebells when we were there. Lots of birds including pheasants around, red squirrels too. We enjoyed exploring the area, with a trip to Portpatrick and the castle ruins on the cliff top, and a walk along the coast by the Killantringan Lighthouse - it was beautiful scenery! We also visited the nearby Galloway Forest and Loch Trool, and also took a boat trip to Ailsa Craig, a uninhabited small island, which is a bird sanctuary about 9 miles from Girvan. We would highly recommend Cairnhapple House to others - a first class property!

Spacious house and grounds with a small wood

A wonderful weeks holiday. Everything our family of 9 could ask for. Quality bedding and towels, fully equipped kitchen, beyond most holidays homes! Bedrooms large with fitted wardrobes and cupboards. Plenty of space in laundry/boot room . Many balls, racquets , foam cricket bat and other outdoor toys. The woods are super for the children especially great fun for the Easter egg hunt. Red squirrels, pheasants, siskins, rooks dashing through the outer areas of the woods, a good display daily. We all loved the house area and especially the lovely host Graham, nothing too much trouble for him. We hope to visit again. The Homer & Murdoch families.

I am over 60, and moved to the country to enjoy a nice quiet life. I take pride in my property and this shows in both the grounds and houses alike.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I moved to the area in 2002 and it seemed to be a nice location with the cottage surrounded by woodlands and loads of wildlife. After living here for a few years I got planning permission to build a second house on an elevated location on the property with spectactular views, which I completed in 2011. I feel it's a beautiful place for a rest and relaxing break for a large family with plenty of space in the woods and garden for children and big kids to play.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The house is well equiped with practically everything you would have in your own home. There is plenty of space in the house for the rainy days and over 5 acres of woodland and lawn for the sunny days. There is internet and smart tv but on the down side there is limited mobile signal, but then this could also be a bonus! (there is a landline available upon request).
