La granja ha sido modernizado con un alto nivel para que sea cómodo para los clientes, manteniendo su carácter original. Se encuentra adyacente a la casa principal de los propietarios, un granero convertido. Cuenta con una moderna cocina equipada, estufa de leña, TV vía satélite, DVD y conexión Wi-Fi gratuita. Ambos baños tienen bañera, calentador de toallas y la que tiene en la planta baja de una ducha con termostato. Hay un aparcamiento privado para 2 coches delante de la casa de campo. Los huéspedes tienen su propio jardín privado detrás de la casa de campo con tumbonas, una barbacoa además de todo lo necesario para comer al aire libre. Además, tienen uso de una galería cubierta con cómodos asientos, mesas y sillas. Se incluye el uso de la piscina de los propietarios, que tiene unas vistas preciosas y una gran terraza con tumbonas y sombrillas. Los beneficios de la cabaña mirando hacia el este para aprovechar al máximo el sol mañana y tarde, mientras lo mantiene fresco durante el día. La granja es el punto de partida ideal para paseos o viajes en bicicleta a través de las tranquilas calles locales a los pueblos medievales cercanos. Sainte-Sabine, a sólo unos minutos de distancia en coche, tiene una panadería, oficina de correos y varios restaurantes, entre ellos La Gentilhommière que cuenta con una estrella Michelin. La casa es ideal para aquellos que quieran disfrutar de la belleza de la campiña francesa, mientras que está a poca distancia en coche de los valles de Dordogne y Vézère, donde se puede ver de todo, desde espléndida castillos a las pinturas rupestres de fama mundial de Lascaux. Para los más activos, se kayak en la Dordoña, que nos altamente podemos recomendar! Las rutas del vino de Bergerac y la propia ciudad (30 minutos) son bien vale la pena visitar, ya que son los pueblos de la zona Bastide con sus tiendas, restaurantes, bares y maravillosos mercados semanales y festivales de comida de verano.
Burdeos y Toulouse se encuentran a 2 horas en coche.

We’ve just come back from an amazing stay. The farmhouse is full of character and well equipped with everything we needed. The pool area is beautiful with a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside and gardens. Our host Tanya was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, thankyou Tanya. A real home from home. A generous starter hamper was a welcome surprise when we got there. All in all a very enjoyable holiday and a place that we are looking forward to going back to.

See above. The owners who are on site were very welcoming and helpful. The property was clean and well appointed, warm and cool. It was one of the best holidays we have had. The gite is central to all the places we enjoy visiting.

family summer holiday

ideal for our family of 4 to relax and enjoy the pool. tanya is an excellent host, we were lucky with the weather. house was well equiped, the new aircon in the second floor bedroom most welcome. bbq in the garden was very nice in the evenings. thank you.

Not a great property for the price

We felt that the upstairs of the property was unliveable in the heat (ceramic tiled roof and outside top of 40 degrees most days) . There was no air conditioning apart from a couple of basic air con units so we had to move the children and the beds downstairs into the living room/kitchen area which was not ideal. The owner was not really visible and not helpful in light of the above and although the pool and location were nice, I think there are much better options for the money.

Lovely rural gite with shared pool

Tanya was a charming, responsive and supportive host. The little farmhouse is just adjacent to Tanya’s main house, with a private west-facing garden, complete with patio furniture and BBQ. The space consists of an open-plan kitchen / dining / living room space which is spacious enough for 5 people to eat comfortably. The house does get super hot upstairs, even downstairs in the summer months - I recommend closing all the shutters in the house by mid-day, and airing the house out every morning. Tanya provides fans and an AC unit upstairs which makes a bit of a difference. The pool was a welcome relief against the hot temperature, and we were given the use of it during the day. Just an FYI it is behind the main house, a short stroll from the gite. The WiFi is shared with the main house and was quite slow at times, especially when it was being used by the family. Tanya also offers DVDs, basic free British satellite TV and French satellite TV. We had a great stay in the Sud Ouest revisiting old haunts and reconnecting with old friends. The location was ideal for this, 10 minutes from Villereal.

We hadden een zeer fijne tijd in het huis. We hadden alles wat we nodig hadden, zelfs een droogkast en een oven. De gastvrouw was zeer reactief en behulpzaam. Een probleem of vraag wordt snel opgelost. Het was ook heel fijn dat elke slaapkamer een eigen badkamer heeft. Al is een deur voor de slaapkamer boven een aanrader. Bij zeer warme dagen is de airco boven net niet voldoende, maar de vensters boven openen tijdens de nacht doet ook veel deugd en kan de temperatuur onder controle houden. Het zwembad is een geweldige toevoeging en wordt ook goed onderhouden. We hebben een geweldige ontspannende tijd gehad.

Vacances merveilleuses

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans cette très belle maison. Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par Tanya, qui était disponible pour toute question lors de notre séjour tout en restant très discrète. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la décoration et l’agencement de la maison et du jardin et la piscine et ses abords sont magnifiques! La maison est idéalement située, proche de très beaux villages, d’un tas d’activités sportives et culturelles, de marchés tout en étant en retrait et au calme. Nous tenons à remercier Tanya et ses enfants et reviendrons passer des vacances dans la maison!

Our stay in "The Little House"

The location is lovely. Rural, quiet with great views. The pool is large and surrounded by greenery. The house itself was spacious and well equipped. Our own sitting area outside with a bbq. Although rural access to the local towns is easy. The surrounding area is littered with Chateau's, daily markets, a visit to the medieval town of Issigeac a must. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great stay!

We had a very good time in this house. The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful. We appreciated the landscape around the house. The outdoor patio was nice to eat lunch or dinner with the family. The kids enjoyed being able to play in the swimming pool, surrounded by countryside. Our host was very kind and helpful during our stay.

Fantastic Holiday

We have just returned from 3 weeks in this idyllic spot. Tanya and her children could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The surrounding area was beautiful for cycling and so peaceful. A fabulous week away!

We have literally just returned from a fortnight in France, then second week we spent here, and it was totally brilliant! The farmhouse was well equipped, comfortable and so so quiet! The pool was just what we needed for those hot days and Tanya was on hand to ask whenever we needed anything. I would thoroughly recommend this property and we hope to return in the future. Perfection!

We spent a wonderful week with Tanya, Tim and family. On arrival we found a fridge and cupboard full of essentials and treats which was a lovely welcome. The house itself is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and supplied with everything you would ever need. Days were filled either visiting villages, in the pool or reading in one of the many garden areas. We had a wonderful time here and would definitely recommend it to others. Tanya also takes yoga sessions which was an added bonus to the holiday.

Amazing property for location and facilities

We had a fantastic stay here in August 2017. Whilst we had researched our holiday well, the pictures really don’t do this gite justice. It is extremely well furnished with everything you would expect from luxury accommodation. The gardens are something else and the pool is huge! The views from all aspects of the gite and gardens are stunning! We had lazy days by the pool with barbecues most evenings and enjoyed the company of Oscar the dog and Rocky the cat most evenings! We travelled as a family of 4, our children were 14 and 8 and Tanya and Tim really made us feel like part of the family......nothing was too much trouble and our 8 year old daughter became firm friends with their daughter Sophie. Dejalat is about 8 K from the nearest town Villereal and we enjoyed some really nice meals out here and there is a good supermarket there too. Days out included crazy golf at Fantasia and a terrifying afternoon at a Go Ape style adventure park. Monpazier (a French bastide town) was also very pretty. Our highlight in the evenings was sitting in the gallery area with the candles lit playing card games whilst enjoying a glass of wine or 2! We had a most relaxing 2 weeks here with beautiful weather in lovely surroundings and I won’t deny that I shed a tear when we left. Thinking back on it, it now feels like the most wonderful dream and a whole world away. We would definitely recommend Dejalat to anyone considering a holiday in this part of France as it has something for everyone whether your 8 or 80! We would definitely like to return here one day, so a big thank you to The Smith family for making this a holiday to remember!

Relaxing home from home

This has been possibly our best family holiday ever - it delivered just what we (a couple plus two young children) needed and more. Thank you to Tanya and Tim for creating such a welcoming home in a relaxing setting. It was greatly appreciated to have a stocked fridge when we arrived, and all the little touches in the house that make it a real home from home. We have greatly enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of Déjalat, the beautiful views from every vantage, the covered outside space close to the house for evening meals with the children sleeping close by, the swimming pool, the many garden areas, the spotless and well-equipped house, the privacy you have given us and the help when we needed it. Thank you again for a fabulous fortnight - we would love to return.

A home from home

We were made really welcome - a proper home from home. Breakfast there for the next day when we arrived. Towels supplied for the pool as well as in the house. The pool was welcoming on hot days; the gallery for when you needed shade; plenty of space to play outside. Nothing was too much trouble - Tim, Tanya and family were very helpful especially when making bookings either for a restaurant or activity. This place is a definite recommendation.

Relaxing holiday in a beautiful location

We stayed as Dejelat in August for two weeks and had a wonderful relaxing holiday, this is just what we had needed. Tim and Tanya were welcoming and friendly. The location is beautiful and peaceful and the swimming pool is a very good size, as a swimmer this was fantastic as I could swim lengths. There is garden ground on both sides of the property so there is always somewhere to sit in the sun or shade and it also feels very private. We loved the gallery for an early morning coffee and in the evening playing card games with the children. The cottage is well equipped, clean and tidy. We would love to return.

Beautiful holiday cottage with fantastic pool

"We have had a wonderful two weeks staying at this beautiful house. We loved the fantastic swimming pool, beautiful gardens and so many various seating areas to suit temperature and time of day. Inside is also lovely with lots of welcoming and useful touches as well as being comfortable and very attractive. Tanya, Tim and family, plus pets, were so friendly, polite and helpful and everything was easy and relaxing. We loved the beautiful bastide towns and found plenty of things to do and places to visit. We would have no hesitation to recommend this cottage - one of the best we have stayed in"

Beautiful setting, property and swimming pool

"Tim, Tanya and family were friendly and welcoming and did everything they could to ensure we got the most out of stay here. We loved the many different seating areas in the surrounding grounds that could be enjoyed at different times of the day. The property was well equipped and roomy, clean and well-maintained. The swimming pool was a fantastic size, large enough to swim lengths or simply laze about in on floats. Our favourite thing was to spend an evening under the covered terrace playing cards, with welcome visits from Daisy the dog and Rocky the cat. We would happily recommend this to our friends and family."

An idyllic property in a beautiful part of france

Wonderful holiday

We had a wonderful 2 week holiday at this gite. Tanya and Tim had prepared it for our arrival with fresh flowers, food for an evening meal and breakfast in the fridge as well as beautifully made up beds. The pool was lovely and everything was just as it was described on the webpage. The area was a delight with small towns to explore and we especially enjoyed canoeing on the river. Tanya and Tim were the perfect hosts, giving us advice on things to do, helping arrange trips and making this an awesome holiday for us all. Thank you so much.
