Two bedroom apartment with a cute private garden and sunny terrace. There is room for 5 total sleeping (Four adults comfortably, or maximum 2 adults and three children) in both bedrooms. In a lush and pleasant urbanisation with great pools, one for toddlers. Walking distance to the village of La Cala, with its many restaurants, clean wide beaches and bus routes to Marbella and Fuengirola. The apartment is tranquil and private. It consists of a private garden and terrace, lounge with open kitchen, two bedrooms, one with two single beds and one with a double bed, and a bathroom with toilet, large shower, sink and washing machine. Unlimited Wifi is available at optical fibre speeds. There is TV with national channels. The access is wheelchair friendly. Surrounded by pine trees and on the edge of Chaparral Golf Course, and a popular restaurant just down the road. The street is quiet and easy to park in.

La Cala de Mijas is one of the most sought after seaside village on the Costa del Sol, because of its untouched 'fishing village' charm, low level development and ample services, and above all, great beaches. Situated right in between Marbella and Fuengirola, with good bus connections to either. The apartment is but a short walk to the centre of La Cala.

La Cala has a wide range of catering facilities, including Indian, Chinese, Thai, Spanish, International, Italian, Grill restaurants as well as the Chiringuitos offering fresh fish dishes on the beach. There are children parks and activities in the village.

20 minutes by car to the West you find Marbella, with its famous night life and Puerto Banus, for spotting the famous in the glitzy surrounds. To the East, some 15 minutes by car, you get to Fuengirola, with its water sports, water park, ample catering facilities and train to the airport and Málaga, a city now firmly on the map for its new Pompidou centre, the Hermitage expo in the old Tabacelera centre and the Picasso museum, as well as its fabulous old town full of tapa bars and culture.

Great location, gorgeous pool

Perfectly located for the town and beach. Dirk was a great host whose communication was responsive from the moment of booking. We had to leave early due to family issues and he was very understanding and helpful. The apartment was fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was gorgeous, quiet, and well maintained. Happy to recommend and would be to happy to return.

Fantastic

Beautiful accommodation, clean and within walking distance to the town, although it is a hill so those with difficulty walking may find it a little harder. However my mum did manage on several occasions even with her knee replacement. We did end up hiring a car from the town which again was exceptionally reasonably charged. This was so we were able to visit more places in the area and helped with shopping. The place itself is comfortable, welcoming and has a fantastic outside area which we certainly made the most of. The pool is through a gate just off the road and is amazing, large clean and very peaceful. Its for residents only so again this makes it ideal. The owner is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, just a message away. I will definitely be returning here, we all had a fantastic time and were very sad to leave.

Städningen var bedrövlig om den över huvud tagit var gjord, bl.a. matrester i ugnen, Dammigt, inget hade blivit torkat på lång tid. Inga problem med incheckning, värden tog emot på gatan och visade runt. Bilderna i annonsen är gamla och förskönar lägenheten i allra högsta grad. Kontakten med värden, SMS, blev lång men värden försökte hjälpa oss. Han erbjöd oss full återbetalning men att helt plötsligt med bara några timmars möjlighet att fixa nytt boende valde vi att stanna. Däremot fick vi inte byte av sängkläder som var lovat till 17 eller 18 oktober. Däremot kom ett SMS 22 oktober där värden undrade om vi vill ha byte den dagen. Så dags då, bara några nätter kvar. Läget är utmärkt om man gillar ett lugnare område liksom poolområdet som var mycket trevligt, städat och välskött.

To be fair, the property was clean, and since it was a bit dated, the price was well below the average in the area. And if the cleaning lady had overlooked the oven she would have gladly returned to the property to rectify it. Instead, I got a call much later stating that the guests had cleaned everything and wanted to get paid. I pointed out that I would have asked the cleaning lady to pass by again without a problem and that the guests were not permitted to work in Spain for money, especially without agreement. After some backward and forward, I did offer them a full discount if they left asap, simply because it became obvious that satisfying them was going to be impossible. Since this date, the entire property has been upgraded with fabulous terraces, a new bathroom, and decor. För att vara rättvis var fastigheten ren, och eftersom den var lite daterad låg priset långt under genomsnittet i området. Och om städerskan hade förbisett ugnen hade hon gärna återvänt till fastigheten för att rätta till det. Istället fick jag ett samtal långt senare om att gästerna hade städat allt och ville ha betalt. Jag påpekade att jag skulle ha bett städerskan att gå förbi igen utan problem och att gästerna inte fick arbeta i Spanien för pengar, särskilt utan överenskommelse. Efter lite fram och tillbaka erbjöd jag dem full rabatt om de lämnade så fort som möjligt, helt enkelt för att det blev uppenbart att det skulle vara omöjligt att tillfredsställa dem. Sedan detta datum har hela fastigheten uppgraderats med fantastiska terrasser, ett nytt badrum och inredning.

Recomendable - zona tranquila, cocina bien equipada

Piso en una zona muy tranquila de La Cala. Al pueblo hay que caminar unos minutos con algo de cuesta, pero compensa con la tranquilidad de la zona y la piscina. El dueño es encantador, incluso nos ha acercado a coger el tren de vuelta a Fuengirola (muchas gracias!). Un piso genial para 3-4 personas.

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par Dirk avec qui nous avons pu échanger plusieurs mails avant notre arrivé. L'appartement est magnifique et très efficaces pour manger à la terrasse fin de journée ou au petit déjeuner, les chambres sont très efficaces avec des armoires appropriées. Logement bien placé, propre, fonctionnel. Une belle terrasse avec un store. Une très belle piscine sans jamais personne. Rue calme. Dire qui gère le Logement à été très sympathique, il n'a accueilli à minuit le soir de mon arrivée. Location à recommander. La cala de mijas est une petite station balnéaire plutôt calme.

God beliggenhed og lille hyggelig hus

VI giver den kun 3 stjerner, da der stod i beskrivelsen at der var nye senge. Sengen var rigtig dårlig. Den hoppede og dansede hver gang vi vendte os i sengen, så vi vækkede hinanden. Lejligheden er hyggelig men noget gammel og lugtede gammel når man åbnede døren. Køkkenet var nyt og fint men alt det andet havde man ikke renoveret. Da det var gammelt er det også svært at gøre ordentligt rent. Ham der stod for udlejningen var rigtig rar og imødekommende. Vi havde et godt ophold og var der i 14 dage.

We had a lovely stay in this house. Dirk was an excellent host who met us at the property and he sorted a problem with the aircon within a day. There is a weekly clean and linen change for stays of over a week which I hadn't realised. This appartment met all our needs the aircon was really efficient, the beds were great and my son approved the Wi-Fi and TV. Great location, good size apartment with everything you need

We came for a week of relaxation and that's exactly what we got. The apartment has plenty of room (our group was 4 adults), good A/C in every room, good size kitchen with all utensils etc. The communal pool is lovely; obviously well looked after and was never busy while we were staying. The location was really good; restaurant at the end of the road, supermarket well within walking distance and the village/town centre is a very short (and perfectly safe in the evening) walk away. It is also close to the main highway so if you have a car Malaga and Marbella are within easy reach. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay again.

Sehr schöner, erholsamer Urlaub

Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einer hübschen Anlage auf einer Anhöhe gelegen, sehr ruhig und beschaulich. Der tolle Swimming Pool, den wir Ende August / Anfang September fast für uns alleine hatten, war das Highlight für unsere Kinder. Wir hielten uns täglich mehrere Stunden dort auf. Der Strand von Cala de Mijas ist ca. 15 Gehminuten entfernt. An einigen Tagen zu Beginn unseres Aufenthaltes war das Baden aufgrund von Quallen leider nur eingeschränkt möglich, aber das legte sich dann zum Glück. Der Sandstrand ist sehr schön und führt flach ins Meer. Man kann sich dort eine Sonnenliege und -schirm für 5 € / Tag mieten. Ein großer Supermarkt, der bis 22 Uhr geöffnet hat, liegt direkt am Fuße der Straße, die zur Ferienwohnung hinaufführt. Der Eigentümer begrüßte uns bei unserer Ankunft freundlich und stand für Fragen während unseres Urlaubs jederzeit zur Verfügung. Die Wohnung ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge, z.B. nach Malaga oder in die Sierra (besonders gut gefallen hat uns Ronda). In der Wohnung war alles vorhanden, was man so braucht im Urlaub. Für die Waschmaschine waren wir sehr dankbar. Wir haben auch die Mahlzeiten auf der kleinen Terrasse sehr genossen. Fazit: Es war wirklich eine tolle Zeit in Cala de Mijas. Die Wohung können wir weiterempfehlen, mit den beiden Schlafzimmern eignet sie sich besonders für Familien.
