El apartamento es hermoso y está ubicado en una zona maravillosa; cerca de la ciudad y playa de La Cala; totalmente equipado y recién amueblado a un nivel muy alto; aire acondicionado en todas partes (frío y calor). Hay una magnífica terraza, con asientos cómodos para disfrutar del sol de la mañana, y una mesa y sillas para comer al aire libre. Hay acceso a la terraza de la zona de estar y dos dormitorios, a través de puertas corredizas.

En el exterior, hay encantadores jardines para disfrutar, con muchos hermosos macizos de flores, una gran piscina comunitaria con duchas, vestuarios y aseos. Hay una cancha de Paddle Tennis (gratis y se puede reservar en la recepción de la entrada). El complejo y la entrada están cerrada con seguridad las 24 horas y hay un amplio aparcamiento alrededor del complejo.

El bonito pueblo de pescadores de La Cala de Mijas se encuentra a 10 minutos a pie y ofrece un montón de opciones en bares, restaurantes, tiendas especializadas y supermercados. La hermosa playa de arena está a 8 minutos a pie, con una selección de bares de la playa cuando se quiere saciar su sed, arrendamiento de camas con cortinas y un montón de espacio para todos. También hay una zona de juegos para niños grandes y el parque a sólo 5 minutos a pie del apartamento. Por su supermercado todos los días necesita existe supermercado del Lidl frente al complejo, que también tiene un pescado fresco, carne y charcutería.

Hay un buen servicio de autobuses de La Cala que le llevará a las populares ciudades de Fuengirola y Marbella y también de la ciudad de Málaga. Los autobuses salen aproximadamente cada 30 minutos, el calendario está en el apartamento.

Los lugareños y turistas vienen de toda Andalucía para visitar los muy populares mercados de La Cala, (que se celebran todos los miércoles y sábados), con artesanía, arte, frutas y verduras cultivadas localmente, a menos de 5 minutos a pie. También hay un pequeño mercado de productos orgánicos celebrada en la plaza del pueblo los domingos, con aceitunas locales, miel, aceites y productos de belleza de una especialidad.


La sala de estar de planta abierta en el apartamento tiene asientos cómodos para 6 personas, TV de 48 "con cable local y canales de televisión por satélite, DVD y reproductor de radio / CD, además de mesa y sillas para comer. También hay acceso gratuito a internet wifi en toda seguridad.

Hay una cocina y desayunador totalmente equipada bien espaciados, con lavadora, lavavajillas, nevera-congelador, vitrocerámica, horno y microondas.
El dormitorio principal tiene armarios empotrados, cama doble con mesitas de noche, tocador consola de mesa con espejo de cuerpo entero, además de cuarto de baño con bañera, ducha (overhead potencia completa, masaje y chorro de mano).
El segundo dormitorio tiene armarios empotrados, dos camas individuales con mesitas de noche y consola de tocador.

Se proporcionan secadores de pelo y una plancha, por lo que no es necesario empacar los que viajan, además de toallas de playa para su uso. Hay una caja fuerte en el área de la entrada que codifica para la duración de su estancia.

Great apartment

Apartment was lovely, very spacious, clean and brilliant outside space. Absolutely everything you would ever need. Only 15 minutes walk to the beach and supermarket down the road. If Mijas is somewhere you want to visit then definitely would stay here!

Fabulous Apartment a home from home.

Just back from a weeks holiday in this fabulous apartment. It is modern, spacious and spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It feels like a home from home. The location of the apartment is fantastic with a short walk into town and La Cala itself is a lovely resort. Would definitely book again and will also be recommending it to friends.

Fantastic apartment

We have stated in this apartment twice this year and it is the best apartment we have stayed in. Everything you could wish for,a wonderful holiday. Very comfortable. The owners Steve and Sue are so friendly as is their housekeeper Christine. They make the process so easy. We would definitely highly recommend this apartment.

Perfectly placed

Great apartment for 4 people. Plenty of outdoor space and furniture which we used all the time. Bedrooms and bathrooms are decent size but the ensuite bathroom has the most fantastic shower. This apartment is perfectly positioned for walking to the copious amounts of bars, restaurants and cafes. We would highly recommend staying here as it is a 15/20 min walk across the motorway bridge to fantastic places to eat. Defo try Konfusion and La Terraza and also Olivia's for a cocktail is you fancy splashing out on holiday!

Amazing apartment!!

I just wanted to come on an leave this review as the place was absolutely amazing, so clean, so accommodating and in a fantastic location! Lidl on the door step, restaurants around the corner and the beach a 10/15 minute walk away. We have absolutely loved our holiday, we just wish we could have stayed longer. Everything we need was in the apartment, and Christine (cleaner/key collection) was amazing she helped us with getting places and talking in Spanish to our taxi airport drives and they didn’t turn up. The weather has been so hot, the pool area is so nice and everyone is friendly. We couldn’t of asked for a better holiday - we will definitely be returning. Xx

Fantastic apartment!

This apartment has everything you need and has been thoughtfully fitted out to a high standard; it felt like a home away from home for us. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to anyone and would definitely stay again. The large balcony is a great space to relax. There was good communication from both the owners and Christine, the property manager, leading up to our stay and Christine met us when we arrived to let us in. The apartment is in a lovely, secure, quiet complex which is 15 minutes walk to the centre of La Cala. There is plenty of parking and a Lidl at the bottom of the road. The only thing which could have perhaps improved our stay would have been an extra set of towels and bed linen as we were staying for 10 days but a very minor niggle. Thanks for a great holiday :)

Excellent - home from home!

This is the first time we have ever used Owners Direct or the like so we were slightly anxious but I can honestly say that it was a brilliant experience which is obviously down to Sue and Steve (and Christine their housekeeper). Myself, my husband and our 12 year old twin girls loved the apartment. Highlights - smooth booking, great contact with Sue, Christine the housekeeper meeting us and being a contact throughout, the lovely, clean apartment which has great facilities (washing machine, fab showers, etc) and is very spacious, the swimming pool which is so so nice, the location. It was our first visit to La Cala and it is a lovely place. The apartment is about 10 mins from the beach and town and 2 mins from Lidl for the morning crossiants and oj. Alamar is a lovely complex, very safe and secure and as I said the swimming pool is great - my daughters spent hours and hours and hours in there - always a fight to get them out of it. Reading previous reviews it says it is a home from home and it really does feel like that - we settled in so quickly and felt like we had a "real" holiday. Sue was great to deal with throughout and we would all highly recommend booking here. We will definitely be back and wish we were still there. Thanks Sue, Steve & Christine!

Comfortable stay and a great week

Review Owners Direct/Home Away - La Cala We had a wonderful week. We really liked your apartment. Especially the two bathrooms, the huge patio where we had all our meals (and drinks) and that it was situated so close to Lidl. Very important and practical details for us. The swimming pool was loveley especially late afternoon when the sun had warmed it up further. My guess is that the water temperature was approx 35 degrees in the afternoon. It felt like diving into a jacuzzi :-)) We REALLY appreciated the pool towels. It is so much easier not having to pack wet and sandy towels for the trip back. This was a great extra bonus. We also appreciate that there were some spices and other stuff in the pantry, fridge and freezer. Very helpful! I was so hungry after the trip (only snacks on both flights) so I dreamed of an apple in the car and then there where apples in the bowl on arrival - amazing how little things can make you so happy!!!! We liked it that it was so calm and quiet at night/evenings. It was really easy to get to the beach as well and what a beach. Huge and beautiful. An awful lot of people but still it didn't feel crowded. The kids (and the father) played in the slides . We went for the long walk to Riviera and back. Loving the board walk although I'm not sure all the people living right next to it are so thrilled with all the new "traffic"... We went to Belamádena one day to see some friends and we went to the Parque de la Paloma. Our daugther loved it. It was great in the evening with all animals running around everywhere. The hens and roosters up in the trees. Very beautiful park. We really recommend a visit to this park after sunset especially with small children! We also went to the Bioparc in Fuengirola. Also great place for adults and children with a lot of shade and places to sit and rest in the heat! We took a trip up to Mijas Pueblo. Beautiful little village with amazing views overlooking the sea and the mountains. Many hours were spent at the pool area and on the terrace. The building was nice and well kept and the area felt extremely safe. The one thing we missed (since we are Swedish) was a coffee maker although we got really used to the percolator in the end! Thank you ever so much for a great holiday and stay in your second home. We will think back when the darkness and cold comes to Sweden in the Autumn. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Im Apartment ist alles vorhanden, was benötigt wird. Spül- & Wasch- & Kaffeemaschine, zwei Sonnenschirme, ein großer Balkon mit Sitzmöglichkeiten. Klimaanlage etc. Großer Pool in der Anlage. Der Strand ist ca. 10-15 Gehminuten entfernt. Ein Lidl ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt von der Anlage entfernt.

Prima verblijf op een mooie locatie.

Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien, keurig verzorgd. Ook de tuin en de openbare ruimtes zijn super schoon. Het gezellige centrum is op loopafstand goed te bereiken. Het grote balkon is zeker een plus.

Very enjoyable holiday in lovely apartment

Cala de Mijas is the ideal resort to get around without the need to hire a car as there is a regular bus service, which is just what we were looking for. We stayed in this apartment for 3 weeks, and would have been happy to stay longer. The location was ideal - just a short walk to the supermarket, restaurants and beach. It's spacious, clean, with a wonderful outside area to eat and relax. We prefer to self cater as it offers greater flexibility and appreciated things such as hand wash, washing up liquid, washing powder, tea, coffee, even beach towels all provided - we have never known that before! Christine was there to meet us on arrival, checked with us later in the holiday that everything was okay, and was happy for us to stay in the apartment until ready to leave for our evening flight rather than check out early, which was a great help. We couldn't recommend this property more, and would love to return.

Perfection. Home from home.

The whole process of booking, check in, check out etc was simple and painless with the owners Steve and Sue readily available to assist whenever required. The apartment has a good layout with a very large balcony with dining table and chairs and sofa style seating to relax on. The balcony gets the sun in the morning and it was lovely to have breakfast there. I am struggling to think of any negatives, the only down side would be that there are no sun loungers at pool and unless you have foldable loungers you have to use the grass which is not too comfortable. The location is excellent, situated in a quiet area, 3 minutes walk to Lidl and a further 7 to 8 mins to the beach or possibly 10 mins to centre of La Cala. The apartment had everything to ensure a stress free break and Christine, who met us at complex was very helpful in explaining how various items operated as well as a folder which covered all aspects of apartment living, nice touch and very informative. Overall, a lovely apartment where we felt at home and would love to return to when we revisit La Cala. Would love to stay again!

We loved our stay. Great communication from booking and throughout. The apartment was spotless, and bigger and better than the photos suggest! Great value for money. The pool and grounds were also pristine. Would definitely recommend to family and friends, and would love to stay again in the future. Thank you!

Lovely apartment

Can’t fault the apartment, it was very clean, spacious and modern with a large terrace. If you’re wanting to go the beach or into La Cala you need to be reasonably mobile as the only access is over a big bridge and the apartment is up a bit of a hill. We found some lovely places to eat out and also ate in a couple of nights.

Exactly what you need for a relaxing holiday

Great location. Lovely modern and well equipped apartments, everything though through very well and has everything you can think of during your stay! We were extremely happy and very catered for. Made our stay very easy especially with it been our babies first holiday. Thank you so much!

Superb accommodation!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was extremely clean and homely and the location was excellent. We would definitely visit again and stay at this apartment. Fantastic!!

We are both nurses, my wife semi-retired and me approaching retirement, children grown up and (nearly!) flown the nest, and wanted an investment to put our energies into, but one with massive benefits for us to enjoy.

We chose this property for its location in La Cala and the quality of the complex. When we were away in May 2014 for my 50th birthday, my wife and I spent a good part of the week viewing lots of different properties along the Costa del Sol, all along the coast, but when we visited La Cala de Mijas, instantly fell in love with the town. It was only a matter of time before we found the right property, and on the last day searching, thankfully we viewed the Alamar complex. It ticks all the boxes for us; close to the beach, town, golf, pool, beautiful countryside, not too far from the airport, cheap flights, and the building will last for many years!

The apartment sells itself; large 2 bedrooms, lots of terrace, and only a stroll away from the busy, yet relaxing town and beach of La Cala. There is an extra large terrace to while away the time relaxing/dining/chatting/sunbathing, and all the mod cons to make it a home from home.
