Cliburn Weigh Officeは、コンパクトで豪華な休日のコテージです。 かつてのEden Valley鉄道の作業部隊であったWein Officeは、ペンリスとアップルビーの市街地の間にあるWhinfell Forestの底に、美しい（しかし、しばしば忘れられた）Eden Valleyにあります。
美しい田園地帯に位置するWeigh Officeは、自然とともにリラックスしてくつろぐのに最適な拠点です。 専用駐車場、広々としたエリア、デッキでプライベート14エーカーの木が見渡せる（そしてアクセス可能）、リラックスしてお楽しみください。

Lovely spot

Great location and directions, check-in and other details were communicated well and were in great time. The accommodation was completely as described and perfect for what we needed. Great host.

Lovely all round

I enjoyed staying at the Weigh Office, if your into Nature and wildlife you'll like it here, I loved the peace and tranquillity. A compact little house, clean and self sufficient. The hosts, a lovely couple, were at hand if needed . I would love to return.

The weigh office

Great little property, very quirky. Very quiet area but easy to get to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales aswell as the Lake district. Close to Penrith for food shopping

Lovely quite retrete

This was an ideal location for me and my dogs lovely walk and warm welcome pack, a lovely bottle of wine and cookies. Loved the cows too! Very unexpected suprise. Thank you for kindly letting your property to me. Hope to see you again soon.

Fab little cottage

We stayed for a very wet and stormy weekend but that did not interfere with a cosy warm stay. The cottage was well equipped and a bottle of wine on arrival was well recieved. The hosts were fab, left us to it but were close by if needed. We did weather out a storm on the last night but our hosts were great checking in on us and making sure we were comfortable. Overall a lovely weekend 😊

Very nice stay !

I came with my two dogs and it was great to have a forest near our house. It is perfect if you want to disconnect and have some peace. The bedroom was just a bit small, as my husband is tall it wasn't easy for him to sleep in the mezzanine. But overall, it is a cosy and cute place to stay, especially if you are a couple. Thanks for welcoming us with our two dogs, I really appreciate that !

Perfect

Gavin is a brilliant host was helpful from the initial booking, welcomed us explained the essentials checked we liked the wine that was left, and let us get on with it felt like we were the only people there but was a comfort to know if you have any issues the owners are opposite The property is immaculate can’t fault it in anyway perfect location for exploring the lakes and surrounding villages Keep an eye out for the red squirrels too that’s quiet an amazing thing to see in it’s natural habitat Can’t praise this place enough absolutely perfect in every way

Lovely place to stay

We enjoyed staying in the Railway Weigh Office at Cliburn very much. It looks small but is quite spacious and well-designed on the inside. It was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were excellent, and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. We hope to return next year.

The accommodation was amazing, so cosey yet spacious! We had everything we needed and more! The hosts were fantastic and made us feel welcomed and gave us lots of information about the accommodation and the surround area! Beautiful place

A unique experience

Cliburn weigh house offers a unique holiday experience in a breathtaking area. The property is well equipped and is more than adequate as a base for holiday adventures. Situated very near to Penrith makes shopping and eating out easy with a car. The renting process was so easy and the owners are very approachable to answer any questions you may have. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Tranquil location

The Weigh Office is beautifully appointed. The ideal spot for those exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley or The Pennines. My collie and I found nearby Whinfell Forest ideal for walks each end of the day and Larch Cottage, Melkinthorpe, 4 miles away, the perfect spot for lunch. Gavin and Wendy couldn't have been more obliging.

Brilliant! A lovely place to stay

We had a wonderful few days staying in this quirky, cosy and comfortable accommodation. It was a brilliant base for exploring the Lake District and close the Penrith for supplies. We will definitely recommend it to friends and family, and come back again.

Wonderful location and very quaint accommodation

We had a lovely stay at the Weigh Office. Pros: Remote without being too remote (agree with other reviews stargazing comments!). Great walks nearby, red squirrel forest next door. Tourist spots within a short drive - Ullswater, Penrith etc. Very kind welcome package on arrival. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Lovely compact accommodation done up to a good standard. Cons: The shower could benefit from a deep clean. Some of the kitchen utensils needed washing before we used them. The mezzanine bedroom was VERY low - we knew it would be a squeeze but we couldn't sit up in bed; it was much lower than we realised. We had a great time, the Weigh Office was brilliant overall and we got some much needed fresh air in a beautiful part of the country!

One week stay

This place has been done up really nicely and you can tell the owners put a lot of effort into it. Owners were very accommodating and helped out with a couple of requests we had, as well as reccomending good places to go. We really enjoyed our stay here and will likely visit again!

Lovely quirky cottage

Well-equipped, spotlessly clean and possibly the tiniest cottage we have ever stayed in, but so well designed it did not feel cramped. The ladder up and down to the bed in a sort of sleeping loft is not for the faint-hearted, but very comfortable when you got there.

A great break in a quiet location

A highly organised administration/booking system. With excellent owner communication. The property suits 2 adults (and a dog) perfectly. It is compact but has everything you need. The location is brilliant and after one week we still have plenty to explore in the area.

Amazing Cottage

The cottage was beautiful. It was in a lovely location, far enough away from everyone to feel rural and to be able to see a clear night sky but close enough to easily visit lots of places without travelling for too long. Gavin was amazing contacting us regarding provisions put in due to COVID and allowing us to keep our bikes in his barn. 100% will be coming back to stay!

We moved into the property on 1st October 2004, leaving city life behind, in search of a more peaceful and fulfilling life, for both ourselves and our two children, Elliott and Jasmine.
Gavin, born in Northern Ireland, left Limavady in 1987 to study at Bradford University. There he qualified as a Pharmacist in 1991 and is the Pharmacy Manager at Sainsbury's Penrith.
Wendy, born in Tyldesley, Manchester left in 1989 to study at Bradford University. There she qualified as a Pharmacist in 1994 and is now the Pharmacy Manager at Green Tree Pharmacy, Kirkby Stephen.
Whilst working in Leeds, we met in 1992 and married 25th August 1996. In July 1999 Elliott was born and in February 2002 Jasmine was born. It was at this point we decided to leave the city life behind and moved to Cliburn.

Wendy and I fell in love with both the location and character of the building when we first saw it.
We loved it so much we live in the Station House beside the Weigh Office and decided to renovate it, so others could enjoy it as much as us.
We have just finished the renovations in May 2015.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We live beside the Weigh Office all year round and often forget just how lucky we are to live here.
To us peace, tranquility and seclusion are the norm. We step outside our back door into beautiful countryside and a 50m walk has us strolling in Whinfell Forest, where we regularly see the local red squirrels, roe deer, owls, buzzards, pheasants, great crested newts and an abundance of other wildlife.
At night little light pollution means that we can stargaze and if that wasn't enough, a short drive and we are walking up one of the many fells or playing in one of the lakes.
What more could you ask for?
