Rodeado de viñedos y girasoles, a menos de 10 minutos a pie de los servicios de Village. Fantastic place to stay

We had a wonderful time, the scenery to do amazing. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The owners were so helpful. Honestly can’t fault it and we will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful location and the perfect property

Our family of 4 children from 7 to 15 and 2 adults had a wonderful stay. Anne and Martin were wonderful hosts, offering recommendations and being available to help if needed. The property is so spacious and the garden is AMAZING!! The pool obviously being a massive hit with the kids. We had all we needed for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of France.

A superb holiday

We have just had a fantastic two weeks at the Chai. The property is superb - the photos in the listing actually don't do it justice. Pool was used daily and is the perfect size. Anne is a wonderful host - really helpful with any questions about the property and local area. Would highly recommend.

Great location!

We had a lovely holiday here with many attractions and site seeing opportunities within easy reach. The Chai is very well equipt and is a relaxing place to stay, with its own pool and decking to watch the sun go down. The owners are extremely kind and welcoming and are always on hand if required to offer advice on days out or assist with any queries. Would recommend staying here for families and couples. I will definitely return with my family again!! A*

Perfect family holiday

We had two lovely week holiday at The Chai and cannot fault anything. Anne and her husband are the perfect hosts-friendly, welcoming and happy to provide ideas and advice for places to visit. They were always available but never intrusive. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was spotlessly clean. We loved the pool (it was an ideal temperature) and the plentiful children's games were a bonus. The garden was perfect for the children to play in too, enclosed and lots of space for them to run around. Have to mention the views and the beautiful sunsets as well! Highly recommend a stay here.

Amazing property in stunning surroundings

This beautiful house is very, very spacious with great facilities. Set on a large plot just on the outskirts of Léoville, it is simply stunning. The pool is great and suited our 3 kids brilliantly and there were plenty of inflatables and toys in the games room. We were 2 families and the open plan living space and patio suited us well. The holiday as a whole really did exceed our expectations. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking, particularly large parties.

Excellent property in good location

We stayed for two weeks in this lovely property. The pool and games room were both big hits with our children - especially the pink flamingo in the pool! We had a warm welcome and, while it felt very private, the owners were close at hand if we ever needed anything. We did lots of exploring during our stay and found some great places to visit. For longer days trips we really enjoyed Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Dune de Pilat. More locally, Pons and Jonzac were both lovely. There was plenty of room in the property and it was well equipped with everything we needed. The beautiful sun sets over the surrounding vineyards were a treat every evening. We would definitely return to this house.

Great property, met all our expectations,

Ann & Martin were great hosts. This was our first sortie to the Bordeaux region of France. We stayed at the Chai at La Chappelle having driven all the way from Kent. Ann and Martin greeted us in a typical French relaxed manor and we were grateful for the welcome pack, it enabled us to have a cup of tea and a dip in the pool after the long drive. The flamingo in the pool caused much merriment for us and our family at home (once photos were supplied to them). The accommodation in a quiet rural area with spectacular views was clean, spacious and well kitted out for all our needs Martin and Ann with their local knowledge were happy to spend time helping us plan our excursions. The local village hosts a butcher, baker and in the summer a pop up restaurant which we really enjoyed all within a healthy 25 min walking distance. We would recommend the property to anyone who seeks a quiet relaxed, secure, rural location with drivable access to many places of interest.

Vacances 2 semaines à Léoville

Séjour passé en famille avec des enfants en bas âge. L'endroit est idéal (calme, grand jardin, piscine, ...). La propriété est charmante et très bien disposée. Idéal pour visiter la région. Excellent accueil et disponibilité des propriétaires en cas de besoin, tout en respectant votre intimité. A refaire sans hésitations.

Super!

We werden welkom geheten door zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw Anne en haar man. Wat een mooi ruim huis met een prachtig uitzicht en zwembad. Ook heel kindvriendelijk door de aparte ruimte met tafeltennistafel, tafelvoetbal, kinderstoelen en allerlei ander kinderspeelgoed en spelletjes.

Groot huis met prachtige tuin

Groot huis aan de rand van Léoville met 4 ruime slaapkamers en 2 badkamers (waarvan 1 ensuite). Prachtig grote tuin waar je op elk moment van de dag in de zon of schaduw kunt zitten. Vanuit de tuin keek je over mooie velden met bloemen. Het zwembad was mooi en had precies de goede maat voor onze 3 kinderen van 3, 5 en 6 jaar. In de schuur stond heel veel speelgoed en vooral de voetbaltafel was een groot succes. Er is ook genoeg te doen in de omgeving. We hebben verschillende plaatsjes bezocht die de moeite waard zijn zoals Jonzac en Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. Het strand ligt op een uurtje rijden. Anne is ten slotte een hele fijne gastvrouw. Ze staat altijd klaar om je vragen te beantwoorden en heeft veel tips over bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Heel erg bedankt voor 2 leuke weken!

Séjour plutôt frustrant

Les propriétaires étaient à l'autre bout de la maison, dans une partie contiguë et nous ne nous sommes pas sentis chez nous mais chez eux. avec impossibilité d'inviter qui que ce soit. Impossibilité qu'il y ait plus de 2 voitures garées. Séjour totalement gâché. Aucune liberté.

Nous sommes désolés que vous n'ayez pas apprécié votre séjour au Chai. Nos clients bénéficient toujours de l'usage exclusif de toutes les installations du Chai avec sa piscine, son grand jardin et son cadre rural calme. Mais ils aiment aussi la tranquillité d'esprit que procure le fait de savoir que de l'aide est disponible en cas de besoin. Vous ne vous souvenez pas quand vous avez demandé un stand pour votre plancher ? Mon mari est allé dans son atelier et vous a préparé une table le même jour. C'est ce genre de service que nos clients aiment. Votre avis aurait été plus utile aux futurs clients si vous aviez présenté les faits. Si vous aviez été honnête avec nous, nous n'aurions pas accepté votre réservation. Le Chai dispose d'installations pour 8 personnes avec un parking pour deux voitures. C'est notre contrat type. C'est le contrat que vous avez conclu lors de la réservation. Nous pouvons installer quatre voitures ou plus sur place sur demande préalable et avons accepté plus de personnes dans des circonstances particulières. Vous avez réservé pour 8 personnes mais vous n'étiez jamais moins de 11 sur place avec trois voitures garées tout le temps et vous aviez jusqu'à 15 personnes sur place, avec des voitures garées sans autorisation sur la propriété de mon voisin. Si vous aviez besoin d'un hébergement pour autant de personnes, il y a des propriétés dans la région que vous auriez pu réserver. Mais bien sûr, ils sont beaucoup plus chers.

Belle propriété

Belle propriété, très spacieuse, grand terrain très agréable. Belle piscine. Pas assez équipée en vaisselle et plat pour famille nombreuse... Nous y avons séjourné pour 1 week-end prolongé avec 1 météo médiocre et la maison n'étant pas équipée de chauffage, nous avons eu très froid . Il y avait bien 1 poêle à bois mais pas de bois à disposition, obligé de demander du bois aux propriétaires régulièrement mais donné au compte-gouttes !!! Piscine très froide, pas chauffée comme annoncée.

Merci pour votre avis. Nous apprécions vos commentaires, mais certains sont très trompeurs. Tout d'abord, la piscine est chauffée comme annoncé. Le chauffe-piscine a été allumé deux semaines avant votre séjour pour s'assurer que l'eau était aussi chaude que le temps le permettait. Le chauffe-eau ne fonctionne pas en continu mais maintient l'eau à 8 degrés C au-dessus de la température ambiante moyenne lorsque la piscine est à moins de 26 degrés. La température ambiante moyenne était de 14 degrés les jours précédant votre séjour et la piscine était maintenue à environ 22 degrés. Le Chai a suffisamment de vaisselle pour 8 personnes et un lave-vaisselle très efficace, il est donc inhabituel que vous n'en trouviez pas assez pour vos besoins. Enfin vous êtes les premiers à utiliser le poêle à bois depuis 7 ans ! Nous arrêtons de couper du bois pour notre propre usage en avril mais nous coupons du bois pour vous et bien sûr vous pourriez en avoir autant que vous en avez besoin. Séjour en famille

La propriété est parfaite pour une famille de 8 personnes. Nous étions 7 adultes , un enfant de 5 ans et un bébé de 8 mois. Tout est fonctionnel. Il y a des jouets pour tous les âges, un espace exceptionnel dans toutes les pièces avec un hangar abrité pour se protéger de la pluie qui était malheureusement omniprésente pendant notre séjour (mai 2021). Néanmoins la piscine est grande et chauffée. Le jardin immense qui a permis à tous de profiter de l'environnement très bucolique. Par contre le poêle à bois dans le salon/salle à manger était non utilisable et la maison n'est pas chauffée à l'exception de la salle de bain. L'accueil très chaleureux d'Anne fait oublié ce petit soucis et nous y retournerons volontiers à l'occasion.

Très approprié pour un séjour avec des enfants

Le chai est très spacieux et très bien équipé quand on séjourne avec des enfants. Les propriétaires sont très agréables. L’endroit est très calme, entouré de vignes et de champs. Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine et recommandons cet endroit!

Anne et son mari nous ont accueilli avec sourire et bienveillance dans ce chai magnifique, très spacieux, au calme et avec des couchés de soleil à couper le souffle ! Nous avons passé 2 superbes semaines dans ce petit coin de paradis. Nos 3 ados ont également adoré ! La piscine est grande et permet de nager aisément. Les draps sont fournis et les lits faits. Les serviettes de toilettes mais aussi celles pour la piscine sont prévues. Encore merci Anne pour votre gentillesse. Laurence et Fabrice

Very beautiful, big house, well equiped (toys and garden furniture included) and very nice people! A real recommendation!

Havre de paix dans un coin de paradis

Nous sommes partis entre amis avec notre petite fille de 1 an et avons passé un incroyable séjour. Tout d'abord, la maison est très belle et le cadre est magnifique. Tout l'équipement nécessaire aux enfants et aux adultes est disponible (lit enfant et lit bébé, chaise haute, table de ping pong,...) Le bonus, Anne & Martin sont vraiments des hôtes accueillants!! À refaire!!

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful rural setting

We have just returned from our first holiday in France at The Chai and were totally taken back by this lovely part of France. Anne and Martin were lovely hosts from the moment we met them and throughout our two week stay were always happy to help and guide us to the best attractions and places to visit. The accommodation was superb, clean and very spacious and catered for our two families each with a teenager. The pool was ideal along with the barn with its table tennis and many recreational items as well as the large and spacious area outside which was ideal for alfresco dining, we had many a happy evening spent having a BBQ and watching the beautiful sunsets. We would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to visit again.

Larger than average and arranged on one floor, the Chai has been renovated and equipped to a high standard in 2014 and enjoys exclusive use of the Chai garden, pool, terrace and adjoining small barn.
