Bakio, a small piece of coastline, surrounded by grape plantations with which txakoli is made. You can visit its interpretation center and discover the process of creating this wine and the culture linked to it.

As indelible memories, the beautiful hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, built on top of a small islet in the Cantabrian Sea and which is accessed by stairs with 237 steps.

A few kilometers you can visit Bermeo, a lively fishing village with a lot of history.

Amazing location and hosts! Wish we stayed longer!

Fernando and Julia were the most amazing hosts and their apartment far surpassed our expectations! Upon arrival we were greeted by our hosts, after being delayed several hours. Our hosts welcomed us and gave us tips, which were perfect! The apartment itself had all the necessary amentities and an outstanding view. When unable to find snorkeling gear, our hosts brought their own personal gear! When departing our hosts came to bid us farewell. Would recommend this location and apartment to all of our friends!

Sehr schönes Apartment

Ein sehr schönes Apartment wie auf den Bildern. Großzügig und schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Ok. die Balkonmöbel könnten mal erneuert werden, sind aber stabil und erfüllen ihren Zweck. Bequemes Bett und voll ausgestattete Küche mit viel Besteck, Geschirr und Küchenutensilien – uns hat es jedenfalls an nichts gefehlt. Nicht zu übertreffen ist natürlich der Ausblick vom Balkon mit tollen Sonnenuntergängen. Die Schlüsselübergabe ist unproblematisch und funktioniert über eine Box am Eingang. Den Code teilt Fernando (der Vermieter) kurz vorher mit. Nette und hilfsbereite Nachbarn. Am Wochenende wird es natürlich voller, da fährt man am besten in das Hinterland. Der Strand ist Fußläufig in 5 Minuten erreichbar, Essen kann man im Ort, oder in den Nachbarorten und gut sortierte Supermärkte sind in ca. 10 Km problemlos erreichbar. Als Restaurant wird immer das Gozon empfohlen – sehr hochpreisig, aber dafür auch eine 1a Küche für frischen Fisch. Einen Wagen sollte man hier schon haben, zudem sind viele Orte besser mit dem Auto erreichbar. Bilbao in ca. 30 Minuten. Parkplatz ist kein Problem, auch nicht an den Wochenenden – irgendwas findet man immer, auch wenn es nicht direkt vor der Haustür ist. Der ein oder andere sollte schon wissen, dass das Apartment im 4.Stock liegt und es keinen Aufzug gibt – Bettenbreite 1,40m. Uns hat es nicht gestört, aber man sollte es wissen. Wir hatten hier jedenfalls 10 Tage einen tollen Urlaub und können die Unterkunft problemlos weiterempfehlen.

Splendid view over the Atlantic

Great place to stay - splendid view over the Atlantic - ocean feeling 24 jours - Basic equipment but everything you need. Close to the beach. To be recommended!
