About Greg & Stacy McCampbell

Stacy and I (Greg) both grew up and currently live in Dandridge, Tennessee, the second oldest town in Tennessee and just 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Greg is finishing his military career as a Major in the Air Force Reserve, following 12 years of active duty Air Force. Stacy works for the Department of Human Services for the State of Tennessee where she has been for 14 years. Together, Stacy and I have five sons (age 26, 23, 20, 16 and 15), a huge ( and I mean huge) rescue cat named "Zeus" and a wonderful mother/grandmother named Bette. Without her, we would never get anything accomplished.

Greg & Stacy McCampbell purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Greg & Stacy McCampbell chose East

We bought this cabin because we both grew up in this beautiful area, love it, and always wanted to own a cabin in the Smoky Mountains. This cabin is our dream come true. It is beautiful and cozy inside and located just minutes from the parkway in Pigeon Forge; yet, when here, you feel like you are secluded in the mountains. We hope our cabin can become your vacation dream getaway come true for you, your family, and friends for years to come.

What makes this cabin unique

We fell in love with this cabin because it is a true cabin. All wood walls and ceilings, there is no sheetrock in this beautiful cabin. Once you walk in the front door, you are welcomed by an open floor plan featuring a rustic cascade antler chandelier. Additionally, you will see a stone electric fireplace with hearth. We love to watch the wildlife (deer, turkey, squirrels, raccoon, and even the occasional black bear) from the decks while sitting in the swing, rocking in the rocking chairs or just relaxing in the hot tub.

Great

Loved it.

But you guys need to put the single bed sheets in the cabin also. The 15 yr old would not share a bed so they had to split up the sheets. Not a big deel.

Ripken/Vacation

  • 4 of 5

We were in Pigeon Forge for the Ripken Baseball Experience. The cabin was conveniently located close to the main drag. We had 4 people staying comfortably. The cabin is very nice. The only 2 complaints there was no access to WIFI for our phones and computer. My wife had some work to finish up on at night and reception is bad at the cabin so not having Wifi available was tough. The pillows were pretty bad also. The jacuzzi tubs were awesome! The Hot Tub on the deck is very private and awesome! It's much better than a hotel! We will try and stay again sometime. It was clean, had a nice fridge, stove, plates, and all you need to eat at the cabin instead of going out each night.

Very nice and neat kids had a great tome

  • 4 of 5

Very nice and neat but a little smaller than we thought since both bedrooms are suites with king beds and jacuzzi tubs

The pool table was really nice for our teenage boys who can sometimes be a pain on vacation as teenagers can be. It kept them busy doing something other than gaming.

The house is nice and the area was quiet but not remote. Easy to get to stores and places. Only drawback is you need to remember to bring everything food wise including coffee filters, sugar, salt& peper. We left the Salt and pepper for the next guests. Otherwise would have been 4 stars
