The property was beautiful, as was the surrounding views. The hosts were friendly and helpful making for an enjoyable stay. The cream tea on arrival was a very tasty surprise as well. I would recommend this beautiful apartment to anyone
Had a lovely stay in Honeysuckle property had everything we needed for our holiday. Was well situated for visiting all the beautiful little villages in the area. Only negative mattress was really too soft but that's a personal thing and you can't please everyone. Weather wasn't the best but we still had a lovely holiday.
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had an absolutely amazing time! The Honeysuckle apartment is so cosy and is located in a lovely little village. We were never short of things to do as there is a lot of places and activities around the area! All in all, we had an incredible time which was made possible by Linda and Brian who were very welcoming and helpful during our stay. Thank you both!

So happy you both had such an amazingly time and it was certainly our pleasure to host you on your special holiday Honeymoon, wishing you a lifetime of happiest together and hoping you will come and visit us again sometime.

The property is situated in an idyllic location and close to Dunster, Porlock and Minehead. Our dog especially liked using the Ford just outside as his own private pool. Very peaceful and lots of lovely walks to enjoy. Plenty of secure parking for guests. Our hosts were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Overall we had a restful holiday with plenty close by to keep us as busy as we wanted to be! The good weather certainly helped and I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location, tasteful decor and fully equipped
We recently spent a week in this wonderful apartment and found it very comfortable and well equipped. Laura and Brian were the perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful but always respectful of our privacy. The apartment was immaculately clean and had everything we could possibly want. The location and surrounding area was beautiful, an idyllic spot with plenty of places to visit and lovely walks close by. We loved relaxing in the courtyard listening to the river and the birdsong - it was a peaceful haven! We cannot recommend The Pack Horse highly enough, it made our holiday perfect!
Wills and Paul, who only took over the property recently, made us feel very welcome adding lovely touches such as a vase of flowers and freshly made scones, jam and cream on arrival. We had a great time at Allerford and would be very interested to return sometime to see what they have done to put their own mark on the apartment.
Very friendly atmosphere. Easily accessible to both main roads and moorland walking. A 6km walk can include moors, sea, 250m climb and a pretty village (with a great tea shop). Very dog friendly.
HomeAway pestered us too often and we got fed-up with it
Really lovely. We would like to visit The Pack Horse again though would choose a slightly larger property if available as the kitchen area was somewhat too small.
A very cosy apartment. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The photos were an accurate image of the inside. as were the photos of the views and the village. This is well worth a visit. Linda and Brian were very friendly, helpful and approachable and with their depth of knowledge of this part of Somerset recommended places to visit.

So lovely to meet you both, and pleased you enjoyed your stay in our Honeysuckle riverside apt.
Look forward to welcoming you back so day soon.
A stunning apartment in a stunning location run by the nicest people you could imagine
This was a last minute decision based on being let down and it couldn’t have turned out better. The apartment was clean and nicely laid out with all the amenities that you could ever need. The views from all windows were stunning with the river running by right next to you. The location was spectacular if you like walking with fantastic views. It is a walkers paradise. The village is really quaint and Porlock near by is great to get a few bits of shopping. Porlock also has the best Fish & Chip shop we ever eaten from and you can eat in. Porlock Weir is also definitely worth a visit not just for the location but also for the Porlock Weir Hotel which has great food and lovely friendly staff. It also has a wood fired pizza oven with fantastic pizzas.
In all we would definitely recommend the Pack Horse in Allerford to stay as the accommodation couldn’t have been better for us and it felt like we were staying with friends. The area is a dream of you want a stunning location and fabulous walks.

Hope to see you again in the not to distant future x
AANRADER!

wonderful location in West Somerset between Exmoor and sea
This small upstairs apartment is part of a complex of buildings with an interesting history, right next to the delightful packhorse bridge in Allerford. It is warm and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Although very close to the A39 the village is quiet and peaceful.
The best thing about it was the fantastic location with an abundance of footpaths easily available from the door. We did three long walks in three different directions through a variety of beautfiful landscapes without even moving the car.
The owners are friendly and helpful and provided a selection of really useful local walking information, guides and maps, which we made very good use of.

Wonderful host, beautiful location
The property is absolutely charming, spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Alleford is so peaceful and quiet.
Bed is very comfortable, there’s free WiFi with a decent signal that doesn’t drop out.
Linda gave us some maps and told us some great dog walks. She really was a wonderful host, so friendly and happy to help.
Porlock is 5 minutes drive and Minehead about 10 in the opposite direction. Loads of places to eat, get a take away from if you don’t want to cook. However, the kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment.
We’ll definitely be back.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love the moment we turned of off the main road and saw the old Pack Horse Bridge , it was like arriving into a beautiful fairytale and that's where our story began .
What makes this property unique
With the shallow , clear river running alongside the properties and the enclosed sunny courtyard, paths, countryside on our doorstep and a stroll to the sea whats not to LOVE!
